It doesn't matter how many videos you've made on taking it to durhamtown we enjoy watching you rip around on all of your projects especially because we see how hard you work on them and your neighbor really doesn't let you enjoy them without taking a trip to test them
You have come so far it’s amazing… I remember the kid in the back shed just learning how to welding up frames… now you are no less than an engineer, welder, fabricator and all around good guy.. Kudos brother…
Yes! Every time I watch I remember him just starting out. I’m glad he’s stuck with it. He’s great at it. Fun to watch him bringing things to life, its motivating and very inspiring!
I come here to watch your superb craftsmanship in the shop...not to watch you having fun with your builds. *JUST KIDDING* It is awesome to see all that suspension knowledge you have learned over the years paying off for you and see the smiles and laughs you get "testing".
Your laugh says it all man. Hahahaha. Makes it all worth it in the end. Life is a bowl of suck for a lot of us. Have to LOL where we can. Thanks for the awesome content sir
Send them shocks off to a shock tuner. If your bottoming out mostlikly the valving is incorrect along with the spring rate. Best money I ever spent on my sxs
Absolutly awsome, got some serious air, i have been watching 98 percent of you videos, you are a true legend chris, we love to see durham town as is is an amazing place, good luck on changing the spring, but it looks like might be ok.
Chris those of us who visit YOUR channel come to see what you are upto if occasionally they aren't into the same thing as the rest of us it is easy to do a couple of clicks and find something else to watch this week. It seems like you need 2 grab bags when you go out trail riding, one in the car with a bit of everything from electrical switches, colour coded wire connectors, soldering iron, belts nuts zip ties tools and so on and a get you back to the base bag on the project, from ratchet straps to binder wire and tow ropes, Hoses oil tools fuses test meter etc I don't think you can carry enough spares even if you are with mates Another good video Chris Tony from Rural Western Australia 🇦🇺 🦘
Next build The LARGER Version! Hey, I like the roll cage, makes it look a little meaner more apocalyptic. You could even add to it to give it more of a look. The black was a good call. It looks really cool. You can just tell by watching y’all drive that suspension is top notch. You got skill. Oh, yeah, I wanted to say that’d be a little scary to drive kinda ruins it but maybe a removable windshield for us scaredy cats. Jk. Now let’s see it s big brother. If any one can do it you can. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The multimeter reads in millivolts when it doesn't detect normal voltage. Pay attention to there the dot is places. You can safely ignore extremely low voltage in this situation especially when working with 12 volt systems. Touching the probes definitely affects the millivolt readings but it shouldn't matter and reads in tenths and hundredths during normal operating voltages. (example: 12.34 volts 3 = tenths and 4 = hundredths for those that are wondering)
Man I love your videos. I’ve been watching for years. Either you’re scared of that cbr1 or you’re geared wrong. That thing should be eating that trail alive. Nothing keeping up with it. It’s almost like you’re driving on dirt like road driving. Let me drive that. I’ll show you hot to rip it and have fun. I got a zx750 ninja motor on my vf2 cart. And it’s only 110hp. It totally rips on trails and it’s a two seater
If you wonder how steep it is, look at some of the shots and the trees in the background because the trees grow straight up and down for the most part giving you a plumb bob look at the topographical elevation
Ill say right now , I have ran a wider tire on the same rim as before , and if you do not run a lower air pressure in the new wider tires , you run the risk of wearing the center out of your new tires very quickly , you will need to run them close to flat , especially with your light vehicle weight . Steve from California .
You can rent a spring compressor at auto zone. You give them like $60 and they loan you the tool and if you take it back you'll get your money back and if you don't take it back you got a compressor for $60.
I promise we both can use a multimeter under normal circumstances 😂 There was a short in the wire supplying voltage to the fan so it was reading continuous 5volts when off and 6 volts with switch on lol
You should have done what you said you were going to do and adjusted the shocks changing the spring out is not a shock adjustment you could have adjusted your shocks kept the same ride quality you had before and just slow down the shock a little bit do keep it from bottoming out because I tell you the truth when that lands on a jump you can tell it springs back up way too fast meaning your spring is now too strong for the strength of the shock so it is rebounding faster then it should like I said you could have adjusted your shock and shock only not changed the springs all you needed to do was slow down the travel of the shocks themselves but don't get me wrong it's working for you you did a great job with the build I absolutely love this thing and wish I had an exact replica
Dude O'Riely's rents spring compressors and they are kind of cheap and Rock auto also sells them and other tools, I got mine there same brand O'Riely's carry's but cheaper price. I realize this is a couple months late but good info.
How much air pressure are you running? On my SxS I run 12psi in the rear tires and 10psi in the front. Rides smoother and takes out a lot of the bounce.
If you were going there every week it might be one thing to say 'too many times". McFarland Racing post dozens of drag race videos every year...same cars, soeetimes changes, sometimes not, same drivers, save events, same drag strips etc. But hey do what you think, obviously we'd be none the wiser.
And I think one of the worst things you could possibly do while building a custom vehicle is purposely putting your fuse panels where you cannot get to them without removing your seat😂😂😂
Nice work. I think you need to spend 30 minutes and learn how to use a multimeter though, and what the difference between Volts, Amps and Resistance is. That was hard to watch, lol.
Might be just me, but those tyres look way over-inflated. Most people run ATV way too high. 5-8psi is usually good. They want to have some bulge in the sidewall when sitting and ideally the tread block thats flat when the tyre arrives should sit flat on the ground at the contact patch
At 27:50 Thats the jump you should be hitting straight up. And at 26:20 sounds like excuses not to have fun. Just go for it and rockit up the other side. You'll be laughing so much you'll wet your panties. YOU CAN'T SHOW NO FEAR FOR THE HARD CHEESE.
8:32 I know you are in NC I'm located four oaks NC I've got a 1 gen 4x4 s10 blazer would you be interested in it I've got lots of parts 4 of them all together I like your channel I would like to see what you could do i like your build's but I would like to see what you can do with a vehicle you could probably build a nice rock crawler I'll give it to you free for a build for the channel
this looks like one of your most successful trips to date, the buggy was ripping, tires and suspension really seemed to have made it even better. what motor does your buddies buggy have? i cant quite place the sound, all i know is the turbo sounds are fantastic.
It doesn't matter how many videos you've made on taking it to durhamtown we enjoy watching you rip around on all of your projects especially because we see how hard you work on them and your neighbor really doesn't let you enjoy them without taking a trip to test them
exactly ❤❤❤
100% agree 👍
Exactly. I want to see a few of his older projects again.
You have come so far it’s amazing… I remember the kid in the back shed just learning how to welding up frames… now you are no less than an engineer, welder, fabricator and all around good guy.. Kudos brother…

I'm so jealous of the suspension on the cbr! it's like riding on a cloud compared to mine 😂
It’s hard to beat King coilover shocks. You should swap out your air shocks to coilover
So true, it’s looks so smooth doesn’t it.
Your laugh says it all man. Hahahaha. Makes it all worth it in the end. Life is a bowl of suck for a lot of us. Have to LOL where we can. Thanks for the awesome content sir
You could take this to Durhamtown a million times we wouldn't get tired of watching it keep up the good work and keep the videos coming
Will watch all your videos , what ever you are doing , it’s great to see you enjoying the builds and not just building . Keep up the great work
This is the project that made me subscribe to this channel, it was love on first watch❤👍🏽👌🏼
MAN CHRIS.....
That Thing Is So
F'ng Awesome!
☮️💜🇺🇸
That was Awesome Chris. Thanks for bringing us along.
Send them shocks off to a shock tuner. If your bottoming out mostlikly the valving is incorrect along with the spring rate. Best money I ever spent on my sxs
This right here. Spring rate is based on weight valving affects movement and overall dampening.
Looked like another fun trip thanks for sharing it. Love the bigger tire look.
Absolutly awsome, got some serious air, i have been watching 98 percent of you videos, you are a true legend chris, we love to see durham town as is is an amazing place, good luck on changing the spring, but it looks like might be ok.

Another good video Chris

Such a nimble machine. The riding a couch comment makes me feel the need to experience it for myself.
That superbike soundtrack is icing on the cake! Sounds mean and angry when she gets screaming.
Awesome rig, loving the bigger tires 👍🏻
I like the DT videos man.
another thing you can do is have the internal valving changed to get stiffer as the shock compresses. just and idea for you to think about.
Its awesome watching your vehicles be fabricated from a pile of tubes around an engine and then seeing it be ripped
I think this is one of my favorite builds. 😊😊😊😊
Love it so much keep it up as always 💘
i love all of your builds
How about some spring spacers on the front? They would pack out the original springs, giving you the extra adjustment you need.
That little beast look's amazing
so good to see some one fitting tyres with an actual tyre bar not a pry bar.
Next build The LARGER Version!

Definitely better! Last trip in that buggy as I watched, was so bumpy I got motion sickness from the camera shaking.

YOU MADE AMAZING MODEL

Don't use so much tire pressure. On the front shocks bring down the mid collar and the top ring. Let the stronger springs activate sooner.
Really neat buggy! 👍👍
Looks like fun 12 hour drive for me to Durham town
If you wonder how steep it is, look at some of the shots and the trees in the background because the trees grow straight up and down for the most part giving you a plumb bob look at the topographical elevation

He definitely would have made it down that hill… gas it and go😂
That buggy would me unstoppable of it was 4x4 Chris 👍👍👍👍 plus you have great clearance under
Should start calling this built Mantis, looks like a praying Mantis with that front end
Bad ass chris
Chain Drive Super-Cross Kart. 👍👍👍👍

very nice... when you get the mini crawler finished you should come to Indian mountain to test.. its in alabama
Bigga tires be mo betta!!
Springs look good on the front, needs alot more compression and some rebound on the front. More compression on the rear.
I promise we both can use a multimeter under normal circumstances 😂 There was a short in the wire supplying voltage to the fan so it was reading continuous 5volts when off and 6 volts with switch on lol
You got like 3 feet of air that time, mind if I try real quick?
He could make a different collar for the front shocks to allow for the longer spring?
Ah Chris doing the old tire jig again.
Dude O'Riely's rents spring compressors and they are kind of cheap and Rock auto also sells them and other tools, I got mine there same brand O'Riely's carry's but cheaper price. I realize this is a couple months late but good info.
Now it’s time to try some 37” BKT tractor tires 😂
How much air pressure are you running? On my SxS I run 12psi in the rear tires and 10psi in the front. Rides smoother and takes out a lot of the bounce.
You should build a 2 seater next that would be awsome
He must have never watched, The Fall Guy”. Everyone knows that watched that show, never sideways down a hill’😂
No harbor freight near you? Super cheap for a set of spring compressors and it would make quick work of this front struts
If you were going there every week it might be one thing to say 'too many times". McFarland Racing post dozens of drag race videos every year...same cars, soeetimes changes, sometimes not, same drivers, save events, same drag strips etc. But hey do what you think, obviously we'd be none the wiser.
U will have to do another collaboration with cars and cameras
What psi are you running in the 27 inch tires?
I think it would be worth your time to gusset the top of your rear top shock mounts.
💯👍😎
It's amazing that you're able to cobble together all your vehicle's wiring without understanding electronics. Seriously, how do you do it?
I was wondering the same thing haha. The multimeter debacle was painful but really made me wonder what aliens are helping him finish his projects lol
I just connect random wires together until it works😂
puffff power honda it hondaaaa hondaaa es hondaaaa!!!!
Why do you have an insta360 watermark at 18:00? You don't have them listed as a sponsor.
Probably because they aint sponsoring him.
I used their editing software and I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of the water mark
@@ratherBweldingChris Damm that sucks, I would highly advise trying to fix it or at least get them to sponsor you for it.
get a set a interco atv boggers they are the best tire out there !!!
The only problem I can see with the spring upgrade is you also increased the size and weight of tyres
It doesn't matter
2wd , rutt row, fuses need to be next to steering wheel imo
I can't believe that bro builds things like this by his hands and can't use a multimeter 😂
If your neighbor ever asked you why you do this, just say because it's fun!
Imagine a Toyota Corolla GR 3 cylinder turbo engine is one of these.
Chris if you ever decide to sell the Mini Baja Bug I want to buy it the
Bet the shortbis in the switch
😁👍🏼
Bro... Don't be scared of going up with the air pressure It's not like the tire will explode if you hit 40 psi lol.
Why not go 3 teeth smaller on the rear and 1 tooth bigger on the front? That will give a little more ground clearance and keep the same gearing.
Can't believe you can fabricate all these cool toys but can't make a set of spring compressor clamp surely you have a bit of threaded bar lying around
I don't think he felt he had time to figure out fabb-ing the tool and putting it to use before his trip.
@psavar97 a couple of minutes wouldn't hurt a bit threaded bar with a couple nuts and a plate to wedge between the spring coils
Why don't you fabricate a tool to compress the springs?
Might be just me, but those tyres look way over-inflated. Most people run ATV way too high. 5-8psi is usually good. They want to have some bulge in the sidewall when sitting and ideally the tread block thats flat when the tyre arrives should sit flat on the ground at the contact patch

Go another 4 inches taller on the tires
Need a little lune on them rims nobody likes dry dock
25 :52 ,,, you have a larger audience . Scan the background .
Bypass the switch, it could be bad
First
Keep your thumbs out of the steering wheel. First lesson in off road. I would hate to see you with 4 fingered hand
Soooooo
pfff we've seen it all on that one, dude
where is the one you were working on during the storm ?
You get what he puts out not what you want.
First comment
this looks like one of your most successful trips to date, the buggy was ripping, tires and suspension really seemed to have made it even better. what motor does your buddies buggy have? i cant quite place the sound, all i know is the turbo sounds are fantastic.
Man if I was there I would show you the correct air pressure you need in those tires , because apparently you dont listen to anyones advice .
Let air OUT and you will feel a MUCH BETTER experience
27 " tires compared to 25 " tires is only 1 " .
Yea you are good at fabbing but your not very bright .
