The two things I notice are first that you have quite a drop in height from the seat to the handlebars so an aggressive rider position. Not sure if you like it that way or whether the frame is slightly small or whether the fork steerer tube was too short. The second thing is I would have a slightly shorter rear brake housing as I do not like it when they arch upwards and do not flow smoothly into the brake caliper. Its a thing of beauty but are you sure about the weight????? , seems a little chunkey, i thought it would be around 9kg with that stunner of a groupset. Where did get the frame from??? @@taichihead42 Cheers. No, it is the Dream Mapei, aluminium topmodel of Colnago. I found the bike with the other groupset and wheels on a local marketplace. It is a used bike, so no order from a factorie.
@@taichihead42 the current weight of the Dream Mapei is 9,2 kg, without the chain (245g) and without the rear derailleur (about 183g). I think it will be almost 9,6 kg when it is finished. The wheels will be changed in the future, should save about 500g and perhaps lightweight pedals, should save another 100g. The saddle is kinda heavy too, could save another 100g. The excellent Schwalbe tires also heavy, could save about 200g on that. So in the end i could get it to just under 9 kg, perhaps even 8,8 kg. Still it should not be a hard ride and without punctures. The Master with carbon parts is almost 8,9 kg and the Tecnos (with no carbon parts) is 9,18 kg.
