It's one of the most versatile instruments, and guys like this can really make it sing using all three roles at the same time as a solo instrument.

Just amazing, I've been playing guitar for more than two decades. I find all tool songs to be a very difficult guitar piece to play all the way through. Here this guy comes along and plays it flawlessly but also throws in the bass line drums and vocal sounds. Just outstanding🙏

im not sure if im hearing the same thing as you, but it could just be an alternate tuning that makes mixing the different parts of songs together a bit easier
