    Nice vid, man! An obvious one for me and any halfway mature person for sure, but what I really love here besides your narration is the amazing tour you’ve taken us on there. Really dope backdrops here of amazing Bangkok, I especially love the river side parts and boats. Funny how even without focusing on sightseeing parts, this simple vid makes me move to Bangkok again with the many places you’re showing. Great content!

    I've lived in Thailand for six years and I think this video is very accurate. I'm not going to re-write everything I said on the previous upload, but everything he said is correct, including "wear a shirt". I've seen guys in the middle of Bangkok or even on the express ferry proudly going shirtless and a.) you look ridiculous and b.) people (commuters) are not impressed by your idiocy. Have fun but just be respectful to everyone else. Save the "no-shirt" look for the beach.

      Yes, I am Thai. When I see tourists Taking off my shirt in public at a mall or a boat or a pub, I would look and think, Does he take off his shirt? Take off your shirt for nothing or want to have a fight. He's definitely a villain. This one is definitely retarded if it's an older woman. may like to look at puppets But most of the time They think this shit is crazy, narcissistic, nonsense, mentally retarded. My girlfriend, a woman, sees him take off his shirt and get on the boat and have a great laugh.

      Yes, and surprisingly there are warning signs along the way both in the station and in the train.
      It was impossible that they could not be seen.
      It makes it possible to recognize the quality of those people.
      On public transportation, Thai people use minimal noise or avoid making loud noises so as not to disturb others. It's a culture and etiquette. (But there may be some in the elderly who are a small number of older people who use the phone loudly.)

    The no shirts issue in Pattaya of all places is hilarious - out in rural Thailand where it's much more conservative, you'd find it much more common to see people walking around without a shirt

    • @vassanab4243
      @vassanab4243 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Basically don’t do it in the city or go sit shirtless in the restaurant. In the rural area it’s more like home, everyone know each other so it’s more like you walk shirtless at home.

    • @thaweeratseanghirun6812
      @thaweeratseanghirun6812 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      What you observe makes it clear that you do not understand the local way of life and even the daily life style.
      In rural areas, living them, many men have been shirtless since ancient times. That's right, because they live in their area. In a traditional rural village society. (You should find information to study the Thai rural lifestyle).
      But when they have to enter the city or government offices, shops, restaurants or public places, everyone wears normal clothes. Because the words "etiquette" and "decency" exist in Thai but not in English.
      It's like the word considerate + showing respect to others.
      But foreigners in Pattaya totally different
      in your country Can I take off my shirt and walk into the restaurant to sit and eat?
      Important things in Thai culture Thai people take a shower at least twice a day every day.
      What about you guys? Especially in countries with cold climates. When you travel to Thailand, the weather is hot, do you clean your body every day when you wake up and before you go to bed?
      Different body odor?

    hey, to anyone who might help? coming from the UK and wearing a soccer shirt in opposing soccer city's can be looked upon being bad and cause drama..I'd really like to support and go watch the top league Bangkok team frequently for entertainment, would wearing that shirt in certain areas cause me unwanted hassle or just best to keep wearing it to the game and not the streets?

    Adding on to your last point of not Effing up in Thailand. You do not want to get stuck in a Thai prison. A fate worse than death.

    Some Aussies have a habit of walking around without a shirt on but the Russians are the best walking around in only speedos and flip flops with a longneck in hand at any time of the day or night.

    I had some really nice experiences with thai police. If you’re not sure if something is acceptable, just politely ask them. They like that you’re not a dick and really interested in their rules. Like asking if it’s ok to drink a beer on the beach. They won’t arrest you for a question and might say it’s ok, even if it’s not. Let them realize that you don’t want to break the law. I asked a police officer if it’s ok to cross wireless road in Bangkok when I didn’t see an official crossing solution. The guy even crossed with me and stopped traffic. Be nice to people and they will be nice, too

    No shirt is fine in Pattaya on beach rd just don't go in to any business or walk up the soi. Thais don't go shirtless because they don't want to get dark skin, also you can argue with Thais, just say it like it is if they start getting angry as with anywhere in the world back off most thais won't get angry with you so long as your not aggressive or angry.

    One more thing and this might save your life, do not drive a mortorbike if you have no experience 😉 drive slow and pay attention (no earphones with music). Too many horror stories of people losing a limb or sometimes their life.

    We just got back to Australia from Patong. I don’t know if people realise that they look like massive wankers when they walk around with their tops off. There was a lot of different nationalities doing it.
    It’s really not that hard to respect the culture of the country you visit.

    Foreigner think they can do everything in Thailand but no... we have rules. Many youtubers go to make vlog in Thailand and another country and bully people in that country it's not good. I think when they go to another country they have to learn the rules of that country they go.

    Some people are a disgrace to their home country. If you live here or are on holiday you are a representative of your home country. Do a bit of research before you come and treat Thais the way you would like to be treated. I have never met such welcoming people. Just don't be an ar%e!
