Sorry bros, uploaded this yesterday but got demonetised for smoking in the vid lol.. fixed!
I was like .....it could get in some trouble....when I saw smoking 😊
@@EarthCamper yeah it was like 2x 2 second clips I thought I could sneak in.. lesson learned haha
I was wondering why it went private 😂😂😂😂
Was gonna say didn’t I see you in this yesterday smoking a blunt!
@@trailrunningexperience496 haha yes, TH-cam was not a fan 🤣
No shoes, no shirt, no service. That's the way I grew up in the US. In my mid-sixties now, but still seems reasonable to me.
I do not understand why people when they go on holidays they seem to think they can do as they please even though they would never do anything like that in there own country 😕
Only one words if we go any where in country just follow there rules I work in thailand now 8 years and I speak thai but I don't want to get trouble . Give respect take respect enjoy the beautiful life
I have lived in Thailand for 18 years your so right. Never ever get into problem with a thai. If so say your sorry and walk away.or next thing it will end up being ten guys teaching you a lesson you will never forget.
They would gang up on you and chop off your both arms with machete 🤪
Thailand is the country that I love. I'm glad you looked happy there.
You can think your hard in your country but in Thailand there will be someone harder to put you in your place.
From someone who has spent a lot of time in Thailand, you are spot on Adam with your commentary. You can gain a good reputation or it can go very badly quickly! Cool vid!
I wanna say these things are common sense, unfortunately common sense isn’t very *common* these days! 🤷♂️😩
Haha yeah right? Lol
Ain’t that the truth!
👌🤝💯💥💝💫Simple "Common Sense"
Depends on where it's common!
I will arrive in Bangkok tomorrow night, it would be nice to see you for a beer, greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
Nice vid, man! An obvious one for me and any halfway mature person for sure, but what I really love here besides your narration is the amazing tour you’ve taken us on there. Really dope backdrops here of amazing Bangkok, I especially love the river side parts and boats. Funny how even without focusing on sightseeing parts, this simple vid makes me move to Bangkok again with the many places you’re showing. Great content!
The editing is AMAZING Adam!
Good video! Yes obvious but still good reminders
I've lived in Thailand for six years and I think this video is very accurate. I'm not going to re-write everything I said on the previous upload, but everything he said is correct, including "wear a shirt". I've seen guys in the middle of Bangkok or even on the express ferry proudly going shirtless and a.) you look ridiculous and b.) people (commuters) are not impressed by your idiocy. Have fun but just be respectful to everyone else. Save the "no-shirt" look for the beach.
Yes, I am Thai. When I see tourists Taking off my shirt in public at a mall or a boat or a pub, I would look and think, Does he take off his shirt? Take off your shirt for nothing or want to have a fight. He's definitely a villain. This one is definitely retarded if it's an older woman. may like to look at puppets But most of the time They think this shit is crazy, narcissistic, nonsense, mentally retarded. My girlfriend, a woman, sees him take off his shirt and get on the boat and have a great laugh.
Thanks for the video, was a great one!
Basically No. 1 should be: Don't disrespect any Thais. And at the top of that tree lies the lese majeste law. Disrespect the monarch and they'll throw away the key...
Another banger video!!
Don’t go to jail over a any amount of money. It will cost you more. Don’t get so drunk you lose control. Chalk it up as a lesson learned
Great video, good advice for the visitors to Thailand. I have seen so many folks come to Thailand and act a fool.😂
Absolutely Outstanding
Excellent advice mate. Thank you
I ❤ your fun videos! Happy 4th.Dont be sad great content always. 👍
I love your work bro, great advice. I’ll be visiting Thailand soon so this information is very useful for me!
Thanks for the info!
Great Video :) So many folks "let go" of right from wrong on vacation, that 7-11 video was crazy! You would not dare do that in the states, well at least in the suburbs :)
Missed the video Yesterday by just a few minutes. So I'm glad to see it re-uploaded
Ah nice, hopefully this one is all good :)
Love your content bro.
You can't get away from the graff.
I wish you would pick up a can and do a graff video on Thailand .
Great blog..especially no.1 keep it up young man
Thanks for creating and sharing
Thank you for watching 😊
Great video bro! Some people just don't have the "common sense" 🤣
Watched it yesterday but will watch again 😂 thats what bros do when a fellow Sydney sider uploads. Great advice tho bro
Haha my man!!
I would also like to add my one point :
Smoking e cigarette or vape is not legal in Thailand. Its easier to think they are legal given that you will it being sold on the streets right next to malls or popular places but be aware you can be arrested for 2 years or have to pay 10000 baht fine. Talking from personal experience I had to shake up 5k (unofficially) to police in Pattaya. I
all that you just said is spot on my friend.
😊😊
Yeah so back to having my belly out with my shirt rolled up.... LOL was wondering what happened to the vid but your pinned comment explains it all lol
#6: Don't point your feet at people. Like stretching your legs out on the MRT or BTS, putting your feet up on a chair or table, using your foot to open a door, etc. Big time rude !
don't step on money either, the kings picture is on it. thou the current Thai king deserves no respect unlike like his father.
ใช่
It’s a Buddhist thing with the feet.
I've seen many thais with their feet up towards the the crowd in public areas Makes me wonder if they're doing it intentionally to disrespect the tourists.
@@Stevenpa00they don't realise it's a thing. Most of the do's and don't a lot of Thais haven't a clue about. Don't worry about anything. Never had one issue just being myself 😂
Great informative video. Should play it on the plane before they land😂😂
Sunny here watching now ❤❤❤
Nice one mate 👍🏻🇦🇺
ha just watched this after I watched you're mate's video (sorry forgot his name, blonde hair). All good. Peace. Always enjoy the content
Ultimately, you cant fix stupid. It is often a conscious decision on the part of the individual. And for those leaning and haven't fully "bought in", it usually just takes a beer or 20 and...it's off to the races! Still, a great public service piece and very well said!
An important one is dont shout... always keep a cool face no matter what or things will heat up fast
Yeah exactly! And no swearing 😊
The drinking rule a golden rule I was in pai and went to visit the famous Thai version ov the grand canyon at sunset were it says strictly no drinking cus it can be very dangerous there ... then these complete arseholes rocked up drinking big bottles of chang jumping from cliff to cliff and everyone was just thinking wot absolute arseholes 😢
That bummed me out when they were rolling Sam around in the back of that pickup truck ,…lol
Haahahaha
Often it's either a lack of respect and or too much alcohol that leads to idiotic behavior. Be respectful of the the people and their laws, remember you're a guest representing wherever you're visiting from.
All good mate. Fine to watch it again. ;)
Haha legend, helping the algorithm for me!! Lol
@@keisone Of course mate. 😁
I painted that legal wall before in Bangkok. Also smoked in public in bkk and phuket. Silly but I was lucky. Heading to patong in august. Geed
I'm glad you addressed this bro! nothing more embarrassing than seeing an Aussie running a muck and thinking its ok to do so. I've seen some shiz go down in Patong and the amount of disrespect for the awesome people of Thailand is not needed. Awesome vlog as always brother!
😇💥💯💫
Most of the people who visit Thailand Think of it as a land of freedom, you can do anything. The word Thai means freedom. because Thailand has never been a colonial colony Therefore, the word freedom is derived from the word Thai.
Dont pick fights with locals on Walking street you will end up being attacked by 100 Thais.I have seen this happen 100 times over the years.
🤣🤣🤣
It's seem to be having fun from the beginning but you will see. Just soon or later.
Before watching the video I thought keep the shirt on , the #1 headline on The Pattaya News " Shirtless Foreigner arrested after drunken rampage ".
Great advice , it is frustrating for many as the western culture is quite abrasive on expectations. It go be very hard to chill as so many things occur in one day. 😂
OMG, "If you're a dick, buckle-up". Hahahaha mic drop. I've been married to a Thai for 30+ years. Your list is spot on..... especially #3. That last bit at the end about chats. Wow!
Eating and drinking is not permitted on the BTS, MRT and Airport rail link! Time and time again I see foreigners drinking and eating on public transit. People need to be respectful and use common sense.
Uhhhh yeah that’s another one!!
Didn't know that.😮
Yes, and surprisingly there are warning signs along the way both in the station and in the train.
It was impossible that they could not be seen.
It makes it possible to recognize the quality of those people.
On public transportation, Thai people use minimal noise or avoid making loud noises so as not to disturb others. It's a culture and etiquette. (But there may be some in the elderly who are a small number of older people who use the phone loudly.)
Nice know it
The no shirts issue in Pattaya of all places is hilarious - out in rural Thailand where it's much more conservative, you'd find it much more common to see people walking around without a shirt
Basically don’t do it in the city or go sit shirtless in the restaurant. In the rural area it’s more like home, everyone know each other so it’s more like you walk shirtless at home.
What you observe makes it clear that you do not understand the local way of life and even the daily life style.
In rural areas, living them, many men have been shirtless since ancient times. That's right, because they live in their area. In a traditional rural village society. (You should find information to study the Thai rural lifestyle).
But when they have to enter the city or government offices, shops, restaurants or public places, everyone wears normal clothes. Because the words "etiquette" and "decency" exist in Thai but not in English.
It's like the word considerate + showing respect to others.
But foreigners in Pattaya totally different
in your country Can I take off my shirt and walk into the restaurant to sit and eat?
Important things in Thai culture Thai people take a shower at least twice a day every day.
What about you guys? Especially in countries with cold climates. When you travel to Thailand, the weather is hot, do you clean your body every day when you wake up and before you go to bed?
Different body odor?
@@thaweeratseanghirun6812 in Australia yes you can. I don't need to study, I've been living in rural Thailand a while. You need to relax
Thai people are friendly and kind. Thai always respect others and want to be respected too.
❤️ love
Hey bud . I just realized I wasn't subscribed to your channel. My bad . I've been checking out your content for a awhile now.
I have a question, I'm heading back to Thailand in August and always spend about a week in bkk. In the 5 & 1/2 things not to do vlog. I can not remember where that last scene was recorded. The art court yard/ park. It looks great. I mean it looked great 5 years ago. And pretty sure I found it 6 months ago. But I won't be enjoying this trip alone. Any help for locating it would be amazing. Can't wait to spend more time there, but a month every 6 months is ok. Cheers. Keep us inspired to live our dreams.
Thanks
Scotty
It’s just near Ratchathewi train station, if you look up graffiti park on google maps, it will come up.. cool place!
Enjoy your trip man 😊
yeah ill watch it again why not
🤟
haha My man!! Helping the algorithm lol
Hi, I came from iChongching channel. I visited Chiang Mai back in Nov 2019... What has changed?
is Khaosan rd an exception for walking and drinking? asking for a friend
Yeah khaosan road is a shitshow anyway lol run with it 🤣
I would say use bolt like he did as he definitely won the argument threatening to report that scammers 2nd account.
No shirt, no service and pretty much all these are alcohol related(except the weed one)
I stay in chalong in the "fitness street" to train muaythai. I see everyone walking to training or running here without a shirt. Is that also bad? I only have no shirt on when i go to training and back, but i always wear a shirt apart from that.
I buy that. If you're at a swimming pool or doing muay Thai then there is no shirt on. If you're running and you look like you're training for muay Thai, that would work too but it should be in the vicinity of a training camp.
I will stand up for myself if I'm in the right. If i get in trouble, i get in trouble. I never get out of control but i always will pay after each drink to keep things on the up and up. Im respectful and soft spoken but will become a tiger if pushed too far.
good for u mate .
Wow. You sound really tough. It’s probably better to just stay home in case you’re suddenly in the wrong 😆
Shave your neckbeard
This is not in your home so don't be annoy and rude to everybody both foreigner and local people.
Some people, when they get drunk, like crazy. Must be loud and disruptive😅
i have actually done the no shirt thing :P
With the timing this could be inspired by a certain streamer currently in trouble with the law in Bangkok or at least something he should have watched (but then again I doubt he'd have heeded the advice anyway)
Haha unrelated, but he could have definitely used the advice, or at least send me footage of what not to do hahaha
Who was this?🙏
Hello
So i have to ask i prefer edibles but what area are probably the worst to get caught at and who kknda is doing it because maybe it can be avoided if you do like to smoke in a "welcoming" environment? in TL
สวัสดียินดีต้อนรับประเทศไทย🎉🎉🎉🎉
Weed does stink though and would be annoying if you're at home and strong smell coming in. Where i live in England teenagers are always walking around the streets smoking because there aren't any police around
Is walking shirtless on the beach road during the warm season acceptable because of the climate does this get a by for just in that specific situation then when I get more street/town throw a shirt on?
You can be shirtless if you are at the beach or at the pool. Other places is a No No.😂😂😂
No one cares in pattaya
@@kikgalaxy4358 so road on the Beach is ok even if across the road is built up town area like in Pattaya
gym is good even if once a week
hey, to anyone who might help? coming from the UK and wearing a soccer shirt in opposing soccer city's can be looked upon being bad and cause drama..I'd really like to support and go watch the top league Bangkok team frequently for entertainment, would wearing that shirt in certain areas cause me unwanted hassle or just best to keep wearing it to the game and not the streets?
I smelled weed everywhere i walked up and down the Sukhumvit area. Its getting smoked alot in that public area.
Adding on to your last point of not Effing up in Thailand. You do not want to get stuck in a Thai prison. A fate worse than death.
I like Thailand and most Asian countries for the reasons you mentioned. It’s called civilisation.
These rulex apply anywhere.. including your home town😂😂
Some Aussies have a habit of walking around without a shirt on but the Russians are the best walking around in only speedos and flip flops with a longneck in hand at any time of the day or night.
5:00 ms. muay thai over here. lmao i gotta wonder what she was so mad about
Ground Hog Day?
Yeah, hopefully youtube lets me keep this one up lol
Same counts for everyone coming to Amsterdam and meeting the Dutch people.thank you 😎
Alcohol, drugs and prostitution drive many people to misbehave. Everybody is on vacation and is so cheap. 😂
Well, maybe in the not too distant future, that will no longer be a problem.
I had some really nice experiences with thai police. If you’re not sure if something is acceptable, just politely ask them. They like that you’re not a dick and really interested in their rules. Like asking if it’s ok to drink a beer on the beach. They won’t arrest you for a question and might say it’s ok, even if it’s not. Let them realize that you don’t want to break the law. I asked a police officer if it’s ok to cross wireless road in Bangkok when I didn’t see an official crossing solution. The guy even crossed with me and stopped traffic. Be nice to people and they will be nice, too
Can you go to bars and just drink juice or soft drinks or do the bars get the shitz if you don't buy alcohol 😂 ?
Hahaha just put your shirt on ! Lol
No shirt is fine in Pattaya on beach rd just don't go in to any business or walk up the soi. Thais don't go shirtless because they don't want to get dark skin, also you can argue with Thais, just say it like it is if they start getting angry as with anywhere in the world back off most thais won't get angry with you so long as your not aggressive or angry.
Have to ask what are these Thai chat rooms?
Just mostly for bar owners and girls, we aren’t supposed to know about them lol
Yes it would be nice to know.i am planning to move there soon.
I'm guessing that wearing a singlet top is okay?
Not in temples actually, it's basically only tourists that wear singlet tops, they are fine though.
One more thing and this might save your life, do not drive a mortorbike if you have no experience 😉 drive slow and pay attention (no earphones with music). Too many horror stories of people losing a limb or sometimes their life.
We just got back to Australia from Patong. I don’t know if people realise that they look like massive wankers when they walk around with their tops off. There was a lot of different nationalities doing it.
It’s really not that hard to respect the culture of the country you visit.
Anatoly will be happy :-)
freakin loooove that dude... so funny haha
Foreigner think they can do everything in Thailand but no... we have rules. Many youtubers go to make vlog in Thailand and another country and bully people in that country it's not good. I think when they go to another country they have to learn the rules of that country they go.
May I add one to your list. Do not mistake an offering to ancestors as a rubbish pile and add your empty bottle to it.
Was that a Thai guy knee cheap shot?
Some people are a disgrace to their home country. If you live here or are on holiday you are a representative of your home country. Do a bit of research before you come and treat Thais the way you would like to be treated. I have never met such welcoming people. Just don't be an ar%e!
What about getting a Tattoo there ?
