    Finally an auto detailer who’s using legit “pro” grade carpet cleaning chemistry that the pro commercial carpet cleaners use! If these products work so well on household carpeting they can sure work just as good on a car! Bridgepoint makes some awesome products. Between them and prochem you should have everything you need for a complete arsenal of stain fighting power. Good stuff man!

      Most PRO detailers are using these or releasit encap ds2. However, a lot of TH-cam videos by PRO detailers are for non pro detailers. If someone has the a $1500 heated extractor they probably aren't watching TH-cam on how to detail cars. Can't use flex ice without heated extractor so that's why not everyone makes video with these products

    • @DIYDad1
      @DIYDad1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@donkeydiehard879 right, those products need heat to dissolve the powders and work properly in certain temperature ranges. They certainly help speed up the process as well. Working faster means making more money. For the casual weekend detailer I don’t think it’s worth it though lol for my truck I just used an upright household extractor with a liquid traffic lane pre spray and APC for a few of the tough stains and rinse with a vinegar dilution. Seems to get the job done to 90% or so.

      Could just be the type of cloth n the car some manufactures cloth is cheaper than cheap’
      U could also try a ph neutral fiber rinse at the end to get the fibers buttery soft and it neutralizes any soap left behind etc
      I’ve found it can depend on water too ‘
      If you have very hard water I personally would go get a gallon of distilled water that should do 1 car easy won’t have all the extra crap that’s n hard water’

    • @monkeystainmtx
      @monkeystainmtx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've had interior details take 1.5 hours, and some take 8 hours working alone. There’s a lot that plays a role. The age, the condition, the temperature, the material, the carpeting, etc.
      Focus on the overall results, and learn from the cars that you work on. Then find ways to become more efficient.

      Dilute your cleaner a bit more but only if it will still clean what you need it to clean, make sure you don’t just spot treat, make sure you’re thoroughly cleaning the whole area. If that doesn’t help use some dry towels to dry the surface as best as you can. Usually if I experience wicking I use a heat gun at a large distance to dry the surface and it doesn’t wick if you use that approach make sure to keep a large distance between the fabric and heat gun to avoid ruining the fabric and potentially burning it.

    I have watched a jillion of your videos and been subscribed for a while and I still need help with one thing in particular. Cleaning the tracks of my car seat. Like... I just wanna take my seats out... but I can't bc I'm a weenie. I can't see in there. I can't reach in there. There's grease in there. Please help. But this is just for my personal car, so I just need like cheap, easy to find tools. Not a 5oo dollar vortex tool. Lol

    if the wand keeps working that means its just draining your clean water tank when your not using it so then you have to keep refilling your tanks for often. also I don't believe that new wand your using cleans the carpets better than the one that sprays more water.

      the SS tool is intended for upholstery, not carpets. it can work okay for carpets in a pinch, but the two materials are very different and should be addressed as such. carpet is cleaned much better with a more traditional, jet tool, like the OEM mytee wand. carpets have pile that contains deep, ingrained dirt all the way down to it’s very base. in order to clean, the rinse solution needs to be sprayed at higher pressure down into the material in order to get through the pile in order to dislodge and flush all the fibers free of any dirt or stain causing materials. upholstery, on the other hand, is much different in that it has a short nap as well as having cushioning material beneath it that you should be mindful to try and avoid introducing too much liquid to. jetless tools like the sapphire scientific are designed very specifically clean this material as efficiently as possible by using a shearing effect to clean the fabric. when you run the tool across the upholstery, it is pulling the fibers of the fabric up into the tool and shearing the rinse solution through the fiber instead of spraying directly into it. by doing this, you avoid overwetting or losing heat like it does when it is sprayed out of the tool, while still effectively rinsing the fibers of all particulate. it also allows for much faster cleaning due to the fact that you can go forwards and backwards and the tool never stops cleaning and prevents such issues as browning and wicking. and if you’re worried about the continuous flow aspect, the SS, along with the rotovac shear dry, are the only tools of their type (that i know of) to incorporate a trigger so you can use it similar to traditional tools whereas you are only engaging the solution when triggered.
      so you’re right, it doesn’t clean carpets better, but it wasn’t made for that. what it was made for(upholsery), however, these type of tools have changed the game. as with most things, you don’t have to have a fancy jetless tool in order to clean interiors. but as a professional who has to look at efficiency, dry times, etc. buying a $500 upholstery wand and having seperate wands for the two different materials is a investment towards improving your business and having the right tool for the job
