    It must be satisfying for the customer to watch their car being worked on, and all that rust being dealt with correctly. Respect.

    We didn't get to see what was under all the filler at the top of the wheel arch - and why what appeared to be a sound section had filler in it? But more importantly we didn't get to see the new inner sections being fabricated and welded in and the new outer panel fitted. Two years later there has been no follow up video.

    • @yorkshirecarrestoration
      @yorkshirecarrestoration  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No follow up video needed. It was just to show how bad some wheel arches are even if they look good. See our other videos for other wheel arches we have repaired.

    Why do people always cut the new panel down to size is it not easier marking it out to that size and just fitting the new panel as it is or Is it more time consuming fitting the new panel as it comes ?

    • @yorkshirecarrestoration
      @yorkshirecarrestoration  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      If you fit a whole panel it’s more work, a bigger area to get the lines and shape correct, the further up the panel you have to cut out the more the original panel looses shape as it’s on a bend so springs out and has to be pushed back before welding making for a harder panel to weld back in. Also why cut out good metal ? Just replace the rusty stuff :) 👍
