Do you need to replace the ignition coil as well, or just the plugs? I've never done this before, but I just computed my gas mileage and it is beyond terrible. Thanks for this video. i think i have the confidence to do this.
How difficult is it really for someone who's never done this before or worked on cars at all, but who is not stupid, to reach and change out the rear spark plugs .. it looks reallly challenging?
I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey what would a tuned up consist of ? Not just the basic I want to have a healthy engine and transmission thanks I’m advance nice video
Well tune up is basically listed as spark plugs, oil change..pcv valve , fuel filter, air filter..check the belts..clean battery terminals if necessary..u could change the transmission fluid and filter but sometimes that can cause problems on a higher mileage vehicle.
@@backyardchevy328 I respect this I appreciate your knowledge You earned my sub. I like to order OEM parts and today I’ll install 6 NGK set of spark plug as well as the 6 Coil ignition.
Many of the new spark plugs have this plating(that silver chromish color) that is made to be installed without use of anti seize, because it acts as a release agent itself...and torque wrench is good but u cant really tighten the rear ones with a torque wrench so i tighten em all evenly
@@el3men2alvarado. No offense, friend, but you're apparently too young to know about in-line fours and sixes, even V-8's, from the 1960's and '70s. Watch a video about repairing an old Chevette, for example. I repeat, there is no excuse for such deliberate over-complication as we see today.
Your removal of plug 3 isn't blocked by the hose manifold. It seems to be lower, not blocking the coil pack like the one on my 02 Odyssey. We're there different engine setups.
Great video. Clear and very straight forward. Good camera angle
Thank you🙂
I have no mechanical knowledge but thanks for the video. I am now confident I can do this myself. Thanks so much.
Im sure u can get it done🙂 let me know how it goes...good luck🙂 thank you for the support
Just bought an 04 odyssey and this is the first thing I'm changing
Good idea🙂
This guys great. Just basic info on how to do it right, no BS "always wear safety googles" stuff seen in other vids.
Thank you🙂 i really appreciate it

When installing the new spark plugs, what is the foot lbs or inch lbs of torch recommended to tighten the spark plugs?

Do you worry about the tightness of the plugs? Torque them down at all or just tighten the in securely?
Great video really helped me out
Thank you🙂 so glad to be able to help

Are you under the van for the back 3??

Nice video
so what tools do I need if I go to autozone and buy them?
Well youll want a flat head screwdriver, a 6mm allen key or socket...5/8spark plug socket..(2)3inch extensions, all for a 3/8ths ratchet
Thanks!

Ahh, good point on the firewall side plugs. Thanks for the reply and your video.
@@georgelovelace602 Always glad to help🙂 thank you for watching and supporting my channel
EXCELLENT
Thank you
This is absolutely insane -- and a perfect example of why I like old cars and hate new cars. Overcomplicated, computerized money-pits.
Seth Tyrssen because the car (Odyssey) is very easy to do

Not that i know of..1999-2004 all have the same 3.5l engine..must be associated to a certain option
What would you do if that short extention got stuck in the hole?
Ooops, I see.
uh...I haven't bought my new plugs yet, so the reason I watched was to see what size socket! You didn't say
its a 5/8 spark plug socket which has a small rubber boot on the inside to hold the spark plug from dropping.
Why you not first change at rear side?
I always start from the closest to the furthest away...and explanation looks better with the front ones.
why do you sound like vin diesel?
Maybe i am 🤫
