I’m always mesmerized by the gentle grasp of your pencils and how you begin with shading, adding finer details only once the form is established Your imagination astounds me, the combination of elements is intriguing. 🇨🇦
The moment you drew the first kables on the very first sketch of that idea, it spoke to me. It ilicits a strong feeling of entanglement in me, of how one can be bound to a city in ways only they or perhaps nobody can understand. Lovely process!
I've had a couple ideas from catching myself in the bathroom mirror myself! Inspiration comes where it comes, I guess. It was wonderful seeing all these concepts coming together! I loved the first pencil sketch you did when you returned home from the cafe, this concept of a city personified is something I'm drawn to myself. But the electric wire pencil one you did in that session also looked fascinating. To me, these concepts speak of a very elegant city, somehow traditional and modern all at once, a true combination.
looove to see your thought process as you talk through your ideas. i love the idea of the hair becoming cables and showing the entanglement with the city. or the one after that, with the buildings coming out of the person. i think both of these could work well on a bigger canvas and convey what you would like to show. i hope you'll continue to take us along in your journey as you discover what art you've decided on! and also thank you for inspiring, i think i will try just sketching and doodling ideas in my sketchbook. i have a hard time coming up with ideas right now on what to draw and maybe making little sketches can help. have a great day :)
This is my favorite video of yours yet!! I literally want to go to Seoul in May to see this exhibit after seeing your process. And I love the electricity cable idea! Keep exploring it!!
loved all the sketches so so much.😍 but my fav is the electricity cable sketch. hope you will prepare all the paintings on time. good luck with the exhibition!
You just gave me an amazing idea for a painting! I took inspiration from the words you said about being a tiny person in an ever-changing world. I thought id share the concept :) i want to make the painting in an accordion sketchbook so that as you look through the pages you see the changes that happen through the passage of time. In each page you see the same figure but the landcape changes even though its the same place. Anyway excuse my rant, i loved the video :)
I was thinking of you when I heard what happened and even though we don't know each other, it made it feel more concrete, more close to home even if I'm far away in Canada, and I was wondering how you were living through it all, how it was affecting you. I think it's a good thing that you went to try to get your mind off of things by focusing on your art. So inspiring, as always!
Thank you for covering the floating houses in more detail!! It is such an interesting idea, and your execution is so awesome I also think that the cable idea is great. I love Korea and Korean culture, i lived in China for a little, it is not the same, but it looks like all those city labyrinths and cables in the sky is a big part of a asian cityscapes Hope you will explore more of this sketch and share the results here~
Thank you so much! I love painting them, they transport me to a different world somehow...! But then I also love painting portraits, so I hope to combine both harmoniously. ♥ And yes, I've noticed the cables all over Asian cities, from Bangkok to Tokyo, so I hope I can make it read as "Seoul" while keeping that weird charm they have. Now I'm very excited to give it another try! ✨

Such a privilege to have a peek at your process. You articulate yourself so well, even in these beginning stages. Thank you for sharing. ♥️

I’m finding so much comfort in your videos these days as an illustrator myself🩵
Thank you! I'm glad if I can accompany others while drawing :)

あなたはとても才能がある
Idea about electricity would be good with something more graphic and linear than painterly I think...
