    Usually when I watch videos of people art supplies I sometimes get a bit bored and prefer a different video. But with your videos your art and voice I just feel captivated, and have no issue just losing time with watching them.

      I'm glad - I really wanted this to not be just a list of brands, but to give proper reasons and advice on how to use them. :) Thank you!

    I like watching "art supplies hauls/shopping" and "my favourite supplies" videos lately. I'm not artist at all. I used to love drawing as a kid and now I am back into it as very grown audlt 😂 just to spend winter cold time on something interesting.
    My favourite brand is faber-castell and koh-i-noor (this is what is easy available for me in Europe). ❤ I enjoy your videos.

    • @evydraws-art
      @evydraws-art  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you, and I'm glad to hear you're getting back into drawing. It's such a wonderful hobby, and I'm looking forward to cozy winter days huddled at my desk, too. :)
      I'm originally from Switzerland and often visited Germany, so Faber-Castell and Caran d'Ache are what I grew up with, in a way! Koh-i-Noor is so hard to find here in Korea, but I have some of their rainbow colored pencils which are really fun to sketch with. 🥰

    LYRA makes the best Kneadale eraser! Can keep it's shape better than the Faber astell which is my 2nd favorite. You should add Kohinoor Red Chalk and Sepia to your pencils, they are my favorite for sketching!!

    • @evydraws-art
      @evydraws-art  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for the rec! I couldn't find Lyra here in Korea, though I sometimes switch to Cretacolor and random local brands, too. Koh-i-noor is available though, I'll keep my eyes open for those colors! ❤

    Pencil crayons are always a win in my book! I'm quite partial to pinks and reds for my sketching - I like the warmer tones. And that MONO square eraser - I liked mine so much I got a couple so I'd always have one to hand. I really enjoyed hearing about your supplies and what makes them effective for you. That marco renoit cold grey you like looks stunning. The illustration you were working on here too - I love how you built up the shadows in the faces.

    • @evydraws-art
      @evydraws-art  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much - and now you made me want to throw all my usual color preference out of a window and draw with bright pink and reds! Do you have any particular shades you love?
      Those MONO eraser have been with me ever since I drew Manga as a teenager haha - they're just too good!
      And thank you, I love how this sketch turned out... It's a study for a Pandora inspired painting I'm hoping to work on this winter. 💙

      @@evydraws-art My favourite shades are probably a carmine (usually a 'pink carmine' though there's this 'burnt carmine' shade I've been loving, and might match the shades you like using a touch more) and pyrrole red!

    • @evydraws-art
      @evydraws-art  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @annaarts23 those are all shades I love when painting, so I should really give them a go as colored pencils! Maybe a wintery theme of reds and deep greens... 🥰

      @ well, this is not the first video of yours that had me shopping :))) and also I am in Norway, art supplies cost bonkers here. But I am happy because I used to buy that Strathmore paper but I didn’t remember what it was called, and once I saw it I remembered that I had it before and found it. There is only one store that carries it here but I am glad it does :)

      Oh, definitely give them a try! I mostly used HB and B in the past (and mechanical ones especially for precision) and it makes a big difference. It can be a weird feeling at first to use very little pressure while drawinf, but my hands can really feel the change. ❤️

    I would want to ask how do you come up with the ideas for your drawings? What insipres you? Does drawing throughout the day comes to you naturally and you do it with pleasure and ease?

    Grey is essentially my favorite color to work with and I recently had to explain why I was spending money on grey colored pencils and why was kinda upset I hadn't found one I liked yet when I've graphite ones, it was difficult. I also have ridiculously horrible fine motor skills considering how much detail I'll try to do, so I feel you there.

    • @evydraws-art
      @evydraws-art  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      A fellow fan of greys! They're so versatile for drawing and layering, right? I hope you find some that are a perfect fit for you.

    Your videos are a huge inspiration to me! I keep coming back to this video and your sketching videos 🙂I fell in love with the Marco Renoir 94 color from your swatches, but I cant find the Marco Renoir brand to buy in Germany. Do you have any other shades from other brands that are similar to that particular shade? :)

    • @evydraws-art
      @evydraws-art  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thank you so much, that means a lot! That Marco Renoir 94 is so special to me - weird how, as artists, we can fall in love with a specific color out of hundreds. Marco Renoir seems to be a Chinese brand, but they're really easy to find in Korea, and there are probably similar shades out there as so often these kind of cheap brands use similar factories... I'll keep my eyes open to see if I find a similar shade!

      @@evydraws-art Thank you! ☺ Your videos have given me alot of inspiration to start sketching again. I have been in a several-year long ditch where I havent had any inspiration, despite wanting to make art. I specifically started testing out different colored pencils brands to sketch again without the pressure of it needing to look perfect, thanks to your videos. I haven't been particularly interested in color pencils, but your sketches and your videos inspired me to start using them together with my graphite-only sketches. I also find the color pencils to work great together with alcohol markers and on top of watercolor.
