Thank you, Lisa. This was a very helpful tutorial. Just what I was looking for. I can’t wait to try no-line watercoloring. I have a Whisper amalgam ink cube ordered.
This technique was so useful. Your work is impeccable 👌. I am still learning however, I will try this technique soon. Thank you for sharing. I so appreciate it .
As always Lisa, I love watching you create. Happy Birthday!! I might try this technique using my Zigg markers with one of your newer sets that I have. Thank you again for new ideas.
Oh WOW! You make it look so easy and it is so inspiring. Was wondering if I could do this technique on small canvases? If so, wouldn't I need to prep the canvas with something? Or maybe make a book of flowers using this technique. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Susan! Yes, I would totally do this technique on canvas and I have. One of the ways I've made it work well for watercolor is by applying some watercolor ground to the canvas. It's like Gesso but it works better with watercolor. Most canvases are already primed with Gesso. Adding the watercolor ground over the top of the canvas gives it more "tooth" for the watercolor to attach to the canvas. I hope this helps. Maybe I should do a tutorial. Thanks for the idea!
Beautiful Lisa, so pretty xxx
Thank you Sue! Grateful you stopped by.
