Happy Friday, all! Today's video is part of a blog hop introducing the latest collaboration stamp set from Hero Arts. The new stamp set is with Gina K Designs and it's gorgeous! The Friendship Blooms stamp set has the most beautiful flowers!
I decided to create an envelope using the large floral image in the stamp set. Since I planned to watercolor the image, I first created my own envelope out of 90 lb. watercolor paper (which folds easier than heavier watercolor paper) and an envelope punch board from We R Memory Keepers.

Stunning! I can’t imagine getting an envelope like this in the mail! Thanks for doing the painting in real time. This is a great tool for us beginners to reference often.
With detailed painting like this, it pays to be patient (and use the right small brush too!) Makes what you're painting more realistic.
So, so lovely. It has to be a pretty special person to get an envelope that takes that long to paint. However, I can imagine there is a wonderful sense of accomplishment, as well as the joy of creating, when you paint something that beautiful.

Thank you for the tip about walking away and just doing the painting a bit at a time. I have never thought to do that, surprisingly enough! I can see the benefit, though. Of course, when I used to paint landscapes & still lifes, I would never do an entire piece in one sitting. But I guess I've always figured, since a card (or envelope) is a smaller "canvas," I should do it all at once. I may rethink that now, though. I really love how your flowers & leaves came out, Kristina! This envelope is truly a work of art. I like how you did the flowers in two different shades of red, too, even though they're in the same bunch. Gives a nice effect. Thanks so much for sharing, & have a wonderful day! :)

STUNNING, Kristina! Time-consuming, yes, but WOW, the result is JUST GORGEOUS! Just so appreciate the “extra care” at the beginning of the project, so helpful n’ informative~~ESPECIALLY “having patience”!! Haha! Would really love to see more on the Micro Glaze, too! Not only love the STAMP SET but think the envelope is definitely worth a frame, too! :-)). Personally, I like the lines peeking through the image as I think it helps to define them even more without “bleeding” so as to damage the design. Since it IS a time-consuming project, I could even see this being done as a home decor piece/gift~~and this LARGE stamp would be “perfect” for that as well! You’ve got my mind reeling and I’m inspired! TFS n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’! Have a BEAUTIFUL day! :-))
