Thank Jennifer for inviting Michelle, she is truly amazing talent and such FAB crafty friend too. Great video and well done on this informative tutorial. x
Thank you Jennifer for asking Michelle to be your guest. I understand why you love her cards. She may call them simple but I think they are stunning. In this case less is MORE! 😍 I have a old light box from Martha Stewart ( I think it was hers) from many yrs ago. Its time for me to get it out and try this technique. I will for sure be going to Michelle's site, and subcribing. She deserves a huge 👍
Hi Jennifer! Thank you for sharing Michelle's work. She is a true artist in every way. The lightbox is brilliant! I am already a follower of hers. You are kind and generous for helping all the other artists to teach all the rest of us. Many blessings to you ♥
I'm so glad to see Michelle getting the recognition she deserves. Thank you Jennifer for showcasing her talent. I'm a great fan of both you and Michelle.
Such simple but stunning cards. Thank you, Jennifer for sharing your friend and thank you, Michelle for sharing your beautiful technique. The use of the light box is a brilliant idea.
Thank you Jennifer and Michelle! I saw this on your blog Jennifer and also visited Michelle's channel. I love this technique and can't wait to try. TFS! 🌈
Thank you, Jennifer for bringing Dawn (W+9) to your channel. I've watched her before but had kinda forgotten about her, watching you & Kristina so much. She is a wonderful instructor, so soft & soothing to watch as she magically brings 🌺 flowers to life on a flat piece of paper. I've learned so much just watching a few video, one more than once. She is truly a very talented lady. I've been wanting to watercolor for a long time & have been doing a little here & there but Dawn really made me feel like l can do it. If it wasn't 2:46a.m. I would pull out my supplies right now. So, thanks again for bringing Dawn back into my "You Tube" life. Of course l 'lol keep watching you, too. Your techniques blow me away. 🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️
Welcome Michelle, and loved your no line coloring technique as well as ones on coloring with copics. I had had that problem with the white spots and wondered what to do. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations with us today!
Thank you so much, Beverly. I am really glad you liked the video. Yes, that white post thing is annoying but it will go if you change the nib :) Thank you for watching!
I have practiced the "no-line coloring" using very light ink pad color and the more I practice, the better it gets. However, I never thought to use my light box for this technique, so I now know I have another use for the light box. Thanks so much for sharing your take/technique on no-line coloring. Have a great day. TFS 🙂
Jennifer, I was so pleased to see that you picked Michelle as your guest (I'm a devoted fan)...I absolutely love her work! Michelle, your cards are truly stunning and I totally agree with what Jennifer said at the beginning of the video...you have an amazing talent balancing the white space with the focal point of the card! Without a doubt, you make the most beautiful CAS cards that I've come across and trust me, I've watched hundreds and hundreds of tutorials trying to educate myself to be a better card maker. Thank you so much for this tutorial Michelle - you've convinced me to give it a try and that is a feat in itself LOL! Thanks Jennifer!
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Nancy and for your continued support of my work. You are so very kind. I really do hope you will give it ago! :)
Thank you so much Jennifer for sharing this amazing artist, her cards are magnificent. I loved her tutorial on how to color in a No Line image, it was probably one of the best I have watched. I definitely want to go check out her BLOG. Thank you again for sharing.
Stunning. Thanks to Jennifer for introducing us to Michelle. I'll definitely check out her channel, and now I feel less intimidated by the technique. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much, Barb. I remember you asking me to do a tutorial on this quite a while ago now. Sorry it has taken me so long but I hope you liked it! :)
Hi Jennifer ~ Thanks so much for introducing us to Michelle Short. I became an avid follower of Julia Altermann because you introduced her to us. I'm a bit afraid of no-line coloring but I've been wanting to give it a try, Thanks so much for sharing. ~HUGS~
Such a wonderful lesson! Thank you for sharing your friend with us. She’s quite pleasant to listen to. I’m so inspired to try this method. Thanks again.
Hello Jennifer thank you for asking Michelle to be your guest artist, I have been following Michelle for some time now and her cards and colouring are stunning. Thank toy Michelle for sharing your tips and tricks the card is as always gorgeous.
Jennifer, thank you for featuring Michelle Short's artistry. Dynamic! I had not thought of using a lightbox! Duh! I hope when I grow up I can color just like her! : )
Hi Michelle I watched ur tutorial out made on July 24th, 2016 yes everything Jennifer McGuire said is very true and u are very talented in all u do thank u for your time and posting your lovely tutorial on u tube 👍Lin in South Wales uk x
This technique takes the "scary" out of no line coloring. The best part is I just purchased a light pad last week. I can't wait to try this. If possible Jennifer or Michelle, could you tell me the name and maker of the embossing folder that you used in the Thanks card with the elephants? Its such a pretty sunburst and I have never seen that one!!! I would appreciate any feedback I can get on that. Thank you Jennifer for sharing Michelle with us, and Michelle your coloring is awesome. Thank you for you wonderful techniques, your cards are beautiful!!!
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Tammy. I am so glad that I could take the "scary" out of no-line colouring for you. The impression plate you are asking about is by Papertrey ink. I bought it a while ago. Mine is double sided (two different sun images) but I believe they have re-manufactured it with one sun image and one line type image. It is the Sunrise impression plate - www.papertreyink.com/pti-dies/papertrey-ink-sunrise-impressions-2-impression-plate/ I hope that helps :)
Thank you for sharing this. I just bought my first copic marker a few days ago because I wanted to try and color a lilac flower and butterfly stamp. This gave me a lot of ideas of cards I'd like to make. But I'd like to ask. Is there anything I'd have to spray over it to keep it from smearing if I wanted to mail it? Do they even smear?
Hi Monique, thank you so much for your comment. I am really glad you liked the card and it has given you some ideas. Copic Markers are alcohol based are waterproof. They would only react if an alcohol based medium were to come in contact with it. You do not need to seal it. Once dry they do not smear. I hope that helps :)
I've followed Michelle for a couple of years. I keep hoping her clean & simple style will rub off. I've never seen one of her cards I didn't love. Plus, she's a nurse and I was a nurse...sisterhood of a type, I guess. lol
Jennifer, do you happen to know what the stamp set is that is used for the "thank you" card shown at the beginning of the video? That card is stunning and I'd love to try my hand at it; I have searched Clearly Besotted stamps but cannot put my finger on the stamp set. Thanks!
Thanks, Michelle. I actually found it after I had posted the question and, in fact, have it on order now through Simon Says Stamp. That card is just stunning and I only hope I can get mine to look HALF as beautiful ! I'm still learning watercoloring and Zig markers but I'm having a lot of fun experimenting ! Thanks for the inspiration !

Copic markers don't smear as.they are alcohol based. They would only 'smear' if the ink comes in contact with alcohol.
beautiful cards
Think you for sharing a pretty card . Thank you Jannifer
She almost makes me think I could do this (I am definitely not artistic) Beautiful!

Beautiful coloring and so helpful, Michelle! I remember you by your name, Card Grotto! Thank you so much! Hugs!

Thank you, Cheryl. Is it this card? - www.cardgrotto.com/2016/04/dahlias.html It uses the Beautiful Bouquets: Dahlias stamp set by WPlus9 :)
