Beautiful card.
Layering the ink on the flowers is what makes the colors look so rich and detailed. I try to do that when I watercolor too. It makes such a difference in the depth of color!

I’m soooo happy to know that I can use memento inks for a bit of watercoloring cos it’s not waterproof ink. Don’t own any archival ink pads except black. Thanks so much for sharing! I’m going to give this a try. So far I only dare to try no line pencil colouring. 😃

This card is stunning! I loved watching the whole process. I also find it interesting on how you hold your paint brush. Is there a specific reason for holding it that way? I’m thinking that maybe it’s keeps a steadier movement with the brush. Anyway, thanks so much for sharing this great tutorial.

Love this SO MUCH .. I have ordered this stamp today ! I have a question about the memento ink .. can you use watercolor with it.. or would a pigment ink be better for watercolors .. ? Again.. this is absolutely gorgeous... I am so LOVING the entire series as well.. !
Thanks for your comment. For the no-line watercolor look, I like to use Memento ink as it will lighten and blend slightly when water is added. If you do not want the inks to blend, I recommend permanent inks such as Versafine inks (permanent once dry) or Ranger Archival inks. Happy stamping! -Jill

Follow up... March 31, 2019 -- I finished this yesterday... I used water color ( Winsor & Newton) because that is what I had.. I turned out amazingly well ! Did mine in a very different color way .. It really doesn't seem to matter. the stamp does most of the work !! Loved the results.. But then, today I finished another one of your stamps (feathers and twigs) from another tutorial you have on you tube .. and I did use inks for the first time .. Blown away with the ease of inks !!! Now that I know how awesome the inks are.. I need to try this with the inks .. Can NOT wait to try it.. Your stamps and your tutorials are making me look really good ... (smile ) ... thanks again for such lovely stamps and awesome tutorials .. : )
