Hemming Pants

I bought some pants second hand a while back. I finally hemmed them. I got the sewing machine free, through my mother, from one of her friends. One of the tension springs had broken, so I hacked a fix with a paperclip. It works well enough, although the foot pedal is really finnicky. The pants are denim, or close to it, so the seams are thick, and that's why I'm hand-stitching at the end.
