You missed the biggest feature of this phone. The 5000 mah battery isn't just 'ok'. It is actually documented to last almost TWICE as long as the average phone, because it is paired with the low power qualcomm 600 series chip. In fact, I don't think there is any comparable phone with anywhere near the amount of battery life this has, and on top of that it weighs only a few grams more than an iphone 13mini! (I have both phones). It disappears in the pocket almost as well as the iphone 13 mini but without the battery worries and I can also use emulators on it.

What emulators you using dude and where to get them from I can’t find any decent ones anywhere

Nice I've been hesitating between this and the 13 mini but I'm gonna go for the Sony because of the battery. Especially now when the mkV is about to hit the market.

No it's not! I open Netflix, but HDR is not available, it is just widevine L1, that's all. But Sony said, it has HDR support.

Does it offer pro camera and video apps like the more expensive models from Sony? Also does it miss out on 4k recording like in x30?

It has plenty of plus points ( despite some of its weaknesses) - great display, superb battery , nice conservative design, good build quality. The V version has a very bright display for its price point - nearly 700 nits when using manual slider when the likes of the pixel 7 has around 490 nits manual slider brightness. I think for the general user this device is just fine

I just purchased one second hand from electrical exchange shop for £50 it had a fault which ment it would crash and then reboot every three minutes or so. Not a mark on it. I discovered that the fault was related to it's current software which was android 12. I decided to try and update it , it's turning itself off all time remember.. when I eventually got it up to Android 13 it stopped crashing! So I knew I was on right track. Got android 14 installed it's now running perfectly like new. I hope this will help anyone who's Xperia keeps crashing. Took me four hours btw!

I've seen a camera review with this or the V version comparing it to the Samsung A54. Similar results. I'd say it's not a bad camera ( subject to lighting conditions)

It all hinged on the camera performance. And it was just too poor. I was expecting to use this phone for at least 4 years and the images were sub-par for a company that could have, no, SHOULD have done better.

@@genmaicha_ I have a D5200 with several lenses - for events, planned outings, etc. But it's not a small device. Has a sling-type backpack, which is rather limiting.

I think if you're looking for a decent versatile phone camera I'd take a look at Google pixel. I have dedicated cameras ( DSLR and mirror less). I find I get pleasing results from pixels

I have s20fe, with 120hz refresh rate. I never on that function, just stay at 60hz to save battery.
Yes, 60hz already great. Below that is unacceptable.
