    Kudos to Sony for sticking with the Headphone Jack, avoiding pig ugly Camera Humps and for doggedly refusing to have anything to do with notches, or pin hole cameras.

    This is definetly my future phone.
    Some people like I look for small smartphone with maximum battery life without apple price and durability (physically and digitally). My current phone is sony z5 compact (4.6" and 2700 mAh bought 2015) because there has not been any other similar small durable smart phone in the market since then and it still works brilliantly, shrinking app support is why I need a new phone.
    Side note: If I want a review from a phone, why all the reviews are 50% about the camera and screen resolution? I use calling, messaging, bank transactions, email, news etc. and the camera is only 1% of my time with the phone. I also think that if I can handle same pixels on my pc (144hz) in gaming, I surely can handle those in my small phone (60fps) when I'm watching some basic videos on YT.

      @@hidan9402 Hey Dan! With form factor you mean the 21:9 screen ratio on the Sony ? Since they are about the same compact 6" size screen which is a huge plus in my book. If faster, camera, battery life and the compact size and above 60hz refresh rate screen is a priority, do you have any other suggestion than these two phones ?
      Can be a bit more expensive but not double the price. The Asus Zenfone 9 is the phone that has everything I want and is compact like these two phones discussed above but it is too expensive for me. The Sony Xperia 5 IV is a close second to Zenfone 9 but also around 750-800 euro in Sweden.
      I have the Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro right now and I have come to hate it, the almost 6,7" display is more than too much, the camera is useless, the display is not oled/amoled/looks pretty bad. However the battery life is good at 5160 mAh, the display has 120hz refresh rate and the phone is quite a bit faster than the Sony Xperia 10 IV so to answer the question, between the 10 IV and Pixel 6A the Pixel would be the choice. I was at the local store the other day and tried them both, the 60hz refresh rate on both these phones compared to my 120hz felt like a pretty huge downgrade though =(
      Both pixel 6a and 10IV is right below 300 euros right now in Sweden so do you think there is something better for me below 500 euros ?

    • @hidan9402
      @hidan9402 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@mathias6423 right now nothing beats the 10 IV in the battery department, however pixel 6a is definitely faster and takes the best photos under 500 euro. A lot of mid rangers sport 90-120hz displays but they don't come close to the battery life of the 10 IV, or the photo quality of the 6a. A53 sports 120hz, but not sure if the camera or the battery is up to par with the two

    I don’t consider 6” as compact, but that’s the best I can get if I want a headphone jack and a large battery. But for the price, it should have more RAM, at least 8GB. High refresh rates are a bonus, but the RAM will make the phone useable for longer.
    I’ll probably still buy it even if it only has 6GB of RAM, because I refuse to buy a phone without a 3.5mm jack, and I want a big battery without a huge phone.

    Still looking for a Sony Z3C replacement... Had a Samsung s7, Huawei P30 (non-pro), Samsung s9.. Of all of those, the Huawei actually felt the best in my hands. Not so rounded, not so slippery, 'good grip'. It was just before the ban so while it still had long support and Google support. Since they don't have that anymore, Huawei is out of the picture... Never felt comfortable with the Samsungs.. Like I said, too slippery. They feel awkward to use. Even though I don't have small hands, I never got used to not being able to reach the entire screen while holding the phone 'safely' in my hands.
    So, the smaller Sony width makes me notice it and go 'finally?!'. But the taller screen makes me go 'no no no! _smaller_ screens, not _bigger_ screens :cry:'. Anyone with experience on this? Is the Sony actually nice to use single handed? Are there other phones that still have the feel I miss from the Sony Z3C (it might have more to do with the boxyness or the thickness of that device than it 'small ness'.).
    I'm more and more looking at filtering out phones with curved screens and _too much_ edge-to-edge, since it always leads to unusable portions of the screen and accidental touches while gripping the device.
    Maybe just give up and get an old iPhone or something :(. (After being on Android since the HTC Hero days).

They're not following the crowd with ugly camera humps with multiple cameras on the back, the worst one I have seen so far is the new Pixel phones, that ugly rear camera hump is nasty to look at lol Also, no ugly hole punch for front camera and sexy looking body with colors, this is the phone for me. I don't care for no 4K recording and all that nonsense. The photos and videos looked good to me, no need to complain or compare this with other phones lol the only issues is, it's not available in the US but I can still just buy it on eBay and still a little too small for me since I like bigger phones, I wish they would make them bigger but I'm fine with it. :)

I really think it's for an informed public. • @cosmosokpighe4962
    @cosmosokpighe4962 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Everyone has what they expect from a mobile phone. What's great with me might not be great with you and vice versa. Personally, this phone meets my NEEDS not necessarily my WANTS.
    1. It is compact. I already own a big phone, Samsung M51, 6.7" . So I don't need another big screen phone.
    2. Battery... being that I'm in a country that shamefully still struggles with power supply. A phone with a LONG LASTING battery is my priority, Key word..Long lasting battery. Not Big battery. Comparing this to the Sony Xperia 1 iv which also has the same 5,000 mah capacity as this device, this device still lasts longer. Which brings me to the 3rd point.
    3. The processor is just fine by me, and I very much understand why Sony opted for a more power efficient processor and chipset. Show me a SD 8xx or 7xx series with more power efficiency. I will wait. Also this explains why Sony Xperia 1 iv and Sony Xperia 10 iv has the same 5,000 mah battery, yet the Sony Xperia 10 iv lasts longer.
    4. Higher refresh rates, Personally not a big deal for me, hey, most offline mobile games and offline videos are capped at 60fps so what's the deal with a higher refresh rate? Besides this phone has a touch sampling rate of 120hz, which makes scrolling looks and feel like a 120hz refresh rate screen. And a higher refresh rate means more battery drain...please take it out, fine with standard 60hz thank you.
    5. Cameras, I never give a shit about cameras. If you need a good camera, get one. I hardly take pictures or selfies or whatever. It doesn't matter to me. Camera's most times are just for bragging rites.
    6. Speakers...how many of us really usually use speakers?? Most of us listen to music via headphones, unless you live alone, you don't really want to disturb the rest of your family members with noise from your phones or most times you don't want anyone knowing what you're watching or listening to, so....
    Also, as long as the listening experience via headphone jack is immersive and sublime, it's perfect by me.
    7. Phone is water resistance, Gorrilla glass victus, and what's the fuss about the build quality when we will still cover our phones with leather phone pouches??
    8. Gaming...get a gaming pc, or better still a console. Or one of these handheld devices like the Ps Vita or Nitendo switch.
    The only problem I have with this phone is the price, it's quite unnecessarily expensive. And also no standard charger or fast charging. But you can't have it all.
    So with all these aforementioned. This phone looks like the perfect replacement for my Lenovo P2.
