those shoes were yeonjin's husband's when he entered dongeun's house to look at the pictures, as taking ur shoes off when entering someone's house is considered a basic etiquette, it stayed with dongeun bec on the contrary yeonjin didnt do that. also shows his humbleness. hope that explains why she gave yeonjin a last chance.

10:10 tiana you got it! In Korea, you have to take off your shoes when you enter someone's house. But the bullies used to enter her room without taking off their shoes. But that's kind of terrible situation for him but he kept respectful entering her house taking off his shoes while the situation was so terrible and caotic for him though.
