you asked why is it a school scenario bc that’s not “bullying” well this is what is considered bullying in korea and that’s why it’s taken very seriously around there. this whole serie is about a true story of a girl that went through all of this in her school and bullying over there is far worse than this. Y’all mention multiple times how this is not normal but unfortunately it is in some places and they don’t have serious laws to prevent stuff like that. But Putting that aside the actor playing the main bully is amazing like her acting is insane like her eyes look so scary which makes it so much crazier

For those who are confused about the shaman thing.. It’s a traditional belief in Korea that dusting yourself with salt gets rid or bad lucks of ghosts that clings to you. So people used to dust yourself with salt after visiting a funeral or anywhere with “bad lucks”. This is normally done right before you enter your house so you don’t bring it home with you! 😊😊

This whole movie is based on a true person that this actually happened to. She went on an interview recently saying how her bullies actually are successful people social workers, higher up people just like this. With everything going on with this show their faces should be on full-blast. I feel like it doesn't matter how many years ago it was she's like 30 now they deserve to be publicly noticed as horrible people hopefully they get their jobs taken from them, put their faces out there that's what I would do.

What BS is this?! It was clearly told by the writer during all of the Glory's press junkets that it came from her imagination after she asked her daughter a question. "What would you want your mother to do if you were bullied severely after she found out? Would you want her to just to be quiet about it or would you want her to help you seek revenge?" Stop spreading rumours. And yes, I am Korean. I would know.

This is a little extreme, but there was a time when the educational scene was like this.
It was like that until mid-2000s.
Korea was a military regime until the late 80s.
The remnants remained little by little.
    The teacher was powerful.
In particular, the discipline and power of the school established by soldiers was much stronger.
My teacher was also a soldier.
Now they are all old, and student rights are important.
There are no more irrational cases like that.
There is no such thing now because the Student Human Rights Ordinance has been established.

The bullying that is shown in this episode is based on a real event from 2006. According to reports and various incidents, this bullying really happens in Korea, and according to the teachers and students, it is far worse than it is depicted in dramas. After this true information, I look at the series differently and I feel very sorry for the students who went through this or are going through this. I saw on TH-cam a teacher who worked as a teacher in a Korean school who taught English and was a foreigner and she said that bullying happens there every day and if you intervene as a teacher you will get into trouble. She stood up for the bullied students and got into trouble every time, but still she couldn't let it go. But when I go back to the series, it's great and I give it 10/10🫶🏼

After learning that A LOT of what happens to her in the drama are based on true events AND that it’s even worse irl, I don’t blame anyone who is brave enough to come out w allegations against celebrities and idols.

It was in the 2006. The society weren't yet educated about students&children's rights. If any of that happened now it would become a serious problem, but back then it was common for teachers to discipline students by spanking them and no one would find it weird. But don't worry because that kind of shit wouldn't happen in Korea anymore. Not Now.

Ryan was keep on saying throughout watching this episode like "that is not normal" or "that doesn't happen in school", let me tell you bro it was normal and it did happened. Bullying is way more serious than you ever imagine in Korea. Victims are still living with this trauma for their entire life and if you come to know about what the perpetrator's punishment is, it's just what makes even worse for the victims and their families. I really hope KARMA does it's work and the word "bullying" ever existed to this world.

Bullying in Korea and Japan is very severe. Things like this happen in Korea, if not worse. News were on after the show aired where a guy had gasoline thrown on him by his classmates as they tied him up on a chair, intending to light him on fire. There have been news where a group of girls beat another girl up near a warehouse at night, forcing her to strip. Her head got busted and she had to get stitches. Teachers acting like they do, is also not uncommon. No help. Teachers even participate in it sometimes or put blame on the victims.

This is what annoys us with reactors in youtube because instead of paying attention, you guys just prefer to talk instead of watching and then ask questions about the scenes when it clearly explains it in the show. If you guys are bored with just watching it thats why you feel the urge to talk over while the show is going on, then might as well stop the show and just talk about the things you guys want to talk.

Y'all thought this kind of bullying is really unusual and also that teacher who being ignorant and denial to the victim bully.. Like If I would said KAREN, why this person exist in our lives society even it doesnt make sense why she being like that seems people can go with common sense. But this Karen existed to break the common sense..That's the same type of this story, you might seems weird and never seeing this event happened to anyone... You asked why teacher doesn't defend Dong Eun, because he had reputation to protect and he doesn't care and interrupt with anyone problem..There is nothing impossible people can change to that or even treat other people bad

It might seen “unreal” to many foreigners hence you guys keep saying “ is this even real” which i totally understand because its beyond anyone’s understanding of such actions but school punishment was legal up until few years ago in korea

How can you laugh so hard, no matter what the idea was, in a scene of such cruel bullying and pain?
Please don't laugh at scenes where you can't.
School violence and the absurdity related to it are still serious social problems in Korea.
