Recently did a metering valve removal on a CP4 pump. Now that’s a scary job. Mechanical injection diesels are pretty good on handling small amounts of contamination. CP4 pumps on the other hand will eat them selves and trash the whole fuel system. $7000-$10,000 worth of parts at times.
Man thanks a lot for this video. It has been really helpful as I have this exact job to do next week on my Kubota D950 as diesel is leaking out the top of the injection pump. One question - seeing as I am going to be replacing the O rings on the 3 delivery valves, while I am in there do you think I should also replace the copper seals on the 3 delivery valves as well? Thank you.
Oh man thanks got the same problem, thanks for part number
good job. Keeping it clean is one of the most important steps

I’ve heard you got to be carefully or it will change injector timing ?
Re sealing the injectors should not effect the injection pump volume or timing.
