This is my beginner's guide for the new DJI Osmo Action 4. This training guide is designed for those who have never used one before as we cover all the aspects of this camera to help familiarize you with the hardware. In this video, we give an overview of the menu system, and various filming modes to help get you up and filming with your new action camera. We cover topics such as camera activation, updating the firmware, choosing the correct memory, charging the batteries, 3 ways to capture content, and many other useful subjects. If you are brand new to the DJI Osmo Action 4 this is a great place to start.

Nice guide. I found out yesterday whilst testing mine with Horizon Balance you can only shoot in Standard Dewarp which was a bit of a bummer. I had the camera on a neck mount and HB looked better than RS, no biggie as I just switch it from HB to RS and wide when moving it to the extension pole.

Are those GoPros as bad as some people say with the battery overheating?
I was going to get a GoPro 12 because of the 5.4K but a tech guy on TH-cam said it overheated and shut down after only 22 minutes ……Wow that’s useless!
I’m going to try a DJI Osmo 4 but if you want to create content for TH-cam with different channels like I do people need 3 or 4 maybe 5 different cameras and other equipment, external microphones Etc.
Question. Can I have rocksteady with horizon leveling both activated at the same time? Or is it one or the other
Nice video thank you. My gopro3+black has cmos sensor fault so i decide continue with action 4 and it is really awesome camera. But i cant decide microsd memory card. Kingston canvasgoplus 256gb and Lexar proffesional 1066x 256gb.
Is there a way to switch from Ultra Wide to Wide or Standard while recording using the quickswitch button? Or just in general using the screen

Why is there a slow mo mode when in the normal video mode you can select high frame rates? Is there any differences?
How long is the recording time on a fully charged battery?

I just got the Action 4 Adventure Combo and I’m surprised the pole didn’t come with a wrist strap/band in the box 🤷🏼♂️
Really enjoyed your videos on the Action 4, I want one for filming as I walk, I was going to get a GoPro 12 but the idea of battery overheating really puts me off.
Many things I like about the DJI Action 4 …… I even like that extension rod, Selfi stick call it what ya will.
I really like the idea of battery power, and the extra batteries.
I want a camera with Stabilisation as I’m only used to recording as I walk with my iPhone on a Joby Selfi stick and the walk I did on Friday looks like I’m drunk because I wasn’t using a Gimble …….LOL

I was thinking of getting a DJI Gimble and using my iPhone but I prefer a camera with stabilisation as then I can record as I fitness walk, I intend combining making videos with my fitness walking to make videos for TH-cam.

Good afternoon. Could you help me please, when I rotate the camera, it seems to cut the frame rates. I use it at 1080 at 24 Fps. How do I adjust this?
hey does it come with unlimited cloud storage like the GoPro 12 ? nobody is talking about this on youtube
I find the Quick Switch menu randomly selects the options to be displayed. For example, I have all of the Custom Modes enabled but after a while of the camera being shut off or battery change, only 1 or 2 of them appear and I have to reselect them. Anyone else having the same issue?

No, they are the exact same mounts. The ones for the action 2 are slightly different. But they will work also.
Any advice for reducing the up and down motion/shake when using the camera while walking? When I cycle it's perfect, but when I walk it wobbles up and down...4th axis gimbal ain't an option 😂
Have you tried a chest mount or a neck mount ? 🤗
Can the action 4 use external power while recording ? A deciding factor for me is to be able to run external power from my bike when riding.

It’s hard to say because the 12 is not available yet. I will be doing comparisons once it is released. But in the meantime, I am really enjoying my Osmo action 4

Camera has not ön memory, if you delete something that means you delete it from sdcard friend.

Yes you can

Tough question I guess it really depends what you want to do with it. I really like the Osmo Action. 4
I plan to stream on twitch, maybe the insta 3260 ist better because over heating and in OBS you can easily ad it as a camera@@AirPhotography
i think the magnetic holder seems to be risky on extreme adventures?
There is kind of a double latch system with magnets and the two latches. Even if one latch becomes disconnected. It’s still grips really tight. I’ve had it in some pretty extreme conditions. And I have yet to ever have it fail.
Would they let me take the hand held stick carry on airplane??
That is a good question. I’m not sure about that. I usually pack my extension poles in my checked luggage. I would contact the airline.

Yes, it can. You can use the DJI Mimo app.

Tempting but will hold off... If the GoPro hero 12 has a 1 inch sensor then I will be sold on it. Would be honestly shocked if they don't release it with that because everyone has been screaming for it...
The 12 won’t have a 1 inch sensor.
Well then, ill just make do with the 11, and any subsequent generations, unless they release something REALLY interesting... Honestly don't really film beyond 4k footage...@@ChrisMitchells_FlyingCameras
Yeah, it appears those rumors that the 12 will have a 1 inch sensor or false. I guess we should know in a couple of weeks for sure. But it looks like the 12 is just gonna be a very minor upgrade.
