Alot of people wanted to see the Huawei Mate 40 Pro vs the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra so I thought I would do this all in one video. This is one of the longest and most comprehensive Camera Test Comparisons I have done so let me know what you think! On samsung, HDR is set to auto by default. I remember that on my olds S7 and S8+ you can select '' always on'' which is more stronger to avoid high lights clipping. You should test it
For me, being in North America, the Huawei phones are irrelevant at this point. I don't mind seeing them occasionally but much prefer your focus on the top Android and iPhones here in the States.

I just did that, with the discounts it was finally worth it. Its dead smooth and the battery, even though not the best of the best, compared to note 8, its night and day and I have the exynos (she the sd doesn't support all the 5g networks here)

For me over all the Note 20 ultra takes the best pictures, something that I do (on samsung phones) is that I tap to focus and the dial down the exposure just a little bit to get a better image.

That was very detailed, well put together and most of the shots were actually really good and enjoyable to look at rather than purely just to compare. Found this video very helpful but would have liked to have seen you review the different slomo capabilities.
All 3 are very good. I have the Note 20 Ultra and I love it, especially the zoom and night mode.
If Huawei didn't get banned by the Americans, I think it'd officially be the recommended phone to get for taking pictures and videos.

Note 20 ultra does just have crazy good and balance looking night mode. Love how much samsung has improved over the time. The sky looks much better than the other two in night mode

Mate 40 Pro won hands down no doubt, nothing else can come close, what a beast and this isn't even the Pro Plus. Getting the Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus for sure. Nobody needs Google Services, using the P40 Pro in Canada have everything I need on the phone.

First i was the same. But in daily using there are so many deficit of the Note 20 ultra. Horribly!!! It is not possible to take a normal photo of manuscripts/handwritings! Everything except for a small point in the middle is totally blurred. At my s10 everything was sharp! For this price I definitly expect more! My Note 20 Ultra is return back to Samsung after 2 weeks.
I can't wait for next year's note, hopefully, they improve the video quality especially at night.

I saw that samsung next improvements are coming to mobile videography of s21 series. I hope most of them as software related they will release the update for note 20 ultra later down the line

umm i think that the iphone 12 pro max is gonna kill the note 20 ultra with 200$ lower price, better camera stabilization and bigger sensor then the iphone 12 pro's
@@insanere Don't get too hyped about marketing terms. Sensor Shift stabilization won't make that big a difference. However, I do think that the iPhone has a fantastic camera system, but I prefer the Note 20 Ultra's cuz it's more flexible and crushes the iPhone when it comes to zoom, night photography and Pro mode. By the way, I've used and still using both.
@@Addakhel as a long term IPhone user I think the Samsung note 20 ultra has a fantastic camera & overall it was so close but I think the note 20 edged it, the 5x optical zoom on it is gorgeous (as is it’s beautiful 6.9” amoled screen)I did have a note 9 for a short time but the camera wasn’t great and Samsung couldn’t tell me when there was going to be a camera update so went back to iPhone. Samsung does innovate much more than Apple who is so slow to adopt new technology.

Samsung wasn't using computational photography yet, it started with the S10 line and got a big jump with the S20 and even a bigger one with the Note 20 Ultra.

The 108mp hm2, which will debut on s21 ultra, is the successor for the hm1. This sensor will improve dynamic range contrast autofocus detail.. so when its released, its timw to compare
on NOTE 20U is HM2 ,HM3 will debut on S21U

Great video Danny!! Camera wars helps us decide one way or the other. I still think with my EXYNOS S7 EDGE AND THE REGULAR EXYNOS S7 ARE GREAT FOR ALL OF THOSE SCENERIOS !! AND THE S7 ACTIVE. THE S10 LINES WITH THE EXYNOS CHIPS CAN SOMEWHAT GET me to upgrade because of the slow mo mode, for recording and the amount of storage they hold!! But other than that,my S7'S ARE GREAT!! Really looking forward to seeing how the Mate 40 Pro Plus performs, with actual OIS on main sensor compared to not having on on the Pro, plus that 10x Optical lens instead of 5x on the Pro.
I am happy I went with note 20 ultra. Very well done Samsung on night mode which was their weakest aspect. If they can improve more on night time videography and portrait mode surely it will be a winner. I liked so much bokeh produced by note which I didn't see in the Huawei video (The shot of the flower).

Yes the photos taken with the Note 20 Ultra look wonderful but don't forget, Danny was using the Snapdragon 865+ variant, which also has superior image processing.
Unfortunate for those with inferior Exynos 990 though.

I think the best test is with your own eyes. a year ago I bought the IP11 pro max because it was shown as the best in the tests. after 5 days I dismissed it and bought a Galaxy Note 10+. For me, the quality of photos is incomparably better, not to mention the functions that suit me better.

Samsung has great camera performances in Android area but they need to work on video recoding a lot. Compare to other competitors it just way too bad. Video quality, HDR, night video, still jitters until today. Fix that on Android 11 #Samsung !
