How exactly did you calculate how many feet will you loose in those last 20 miles at the current ROD before reaching AKBAN? Video timestamp: 20min 50sec
Hello Miro, there are so many variables running so its not possible to get an exact value, its always an estimate. Height and distance like i mentioned works well in the multiples of 3. Now at 2:50 again I wasn't exactly 20nm from akban nor was I at FL160 but still for quick/easier calculation took 20 (20~"2X3=6"~6000) and with open descent the rod was above 2500ft so very rough 6000ft and then there's always V/S to fine tune the descent if you feel you'll go below the path
Yes you are right. But for some reason it was not showing when I was making this video like I mentioned(some Fbw issue probably). So had to plan the descend manually and it was good in way, I got to explain it 😄

Wouldn’t the aircraft manage the descend on its own, the constraints are there and you’re descending in a managed descend.

And the fps went for a toss so had to stop it midway 🤦
