That car scene was so SRK. My favorite .The way he gets off the bike and walk, then at the end of money looting he says "get out" despite being on the road is so funny and father-like. He deserves a whole film of him surviving in that village and fighting another antagonist.

The conversation with young Azad just before her execution was so natural and real, it shows her capability as an actress, it really hits hard.

I resonated more with Vikram-Aishwarya's story than Azad-Narmada's. And Deepika had quite a lot more screen time than I expected.
Deepika also nailed the acting, like, her eyes when Sethupati is threatening her conveyed so fucking much

Another interesting fact is that the movie is filled with Easter Eggs.
Some that I observed:
The reference of Simba and Mufasa- In the Hindi dub of the lion King, Simba and Mufasa were voiced by Aryan and SRK respectively.
Also, a clear homage to the movie in the child raising scene.
The character name Aishwarya- apparently earlier this role was offered to Aishwarya Rai and she rejected it.
Nayak nahi Khalnayak hoon main- Dutt indicated it from the start that he's not the good cop that everyone's assuming he is.
Kaveri Amma- clear reference to Swades
And of course the meta commentary on SRK's recent years.
Another one: We got to see Family man's mother daughter duo in that metro scene

I do believe the older look of srk so effortlessly navigating through action scenes will open gates for older actors really owning their age while taking up movies of the genre. Also the fact that him sporting a white beard clearly looking like a 60-70 year old and still being loved more than Azad guarantees he's not going anywhere and will continue to be the main character. I just hope we see more of him in roles where he's not supposed to play a character 20-30 years younger!
That Kaveri amma reference from Swades now, earlier Mohan Bhargava reference in Brahmastra. That shows SRK loves SWADES equally as we fans do. Loved to see that ❤. SRK’s finest work till date for me is still SWADES. Looking forward to DUNKI, hope he will top that.

A great meta srk moment was- Srk has many times said in interviews that he has been raised primarily by women, mother sister Nani masi teachers etc. So the jail scene of Azad's childhood with all female prisoners was heartwarming and reminiscent of the aforementioned.
I think its so important to understand the context behind why everyone is so happy that srk is succeeding. Its the wanting of that big win for a person who was /is such a big part of growing up. And with all the recent events that have happened, srk just brilliantly answering everything through his movies!
Nope, it is not that people wants SRK to succeed or for that matter any star. Basically, in last 3-4 years, Bollywood comes down to shit and whole heartedly people who enjoy movie accept even 60 % good movie. These dialogues are as old as 1960s in South movie. So nobody is giving answer to anybody. This is just an movie.

Displaying Gauri Khan's name as big as SRK's says volumes about his love and respect for her. I know that she is the producer but it's not a usual occurrence in Bollywood. Jawaan is a massive entertainer.

I agree completely with the marketing strategy where the trailer was released only few weeks before movie. Because if it was months before movie then people will start speculating assuming the plots and eventually someone will leak spoilers. With the small gap between trailer and movie it creates suspense about the movie and we get to enjoy the surprises. I loved it.
If your someone that watches a lot of tamil movies, then by watching the trailer you will know the plot. It's basically Mersal, Aarambam, Theri mixed in one bag. For people up north this is new and when it comes mass entertainers they don't have much whereas south has been doing this for a while and rn they are bored of it.

19/20 ka fark hai. For me Barbie was 5/10 and Jawan is 6/10.
For me, I absolutely loved how badass each woman was in this movie and it didn't feel forced. They didn't have to behave like a "man" to look cool. They were emotional, they were feminine, and they weren't an unstoppable force. The entire movie is a beautiful statement to the strength of women and their love. Vikram and Azad are a byproduct of this love. Also, SRK in his Vikram outfit looked so good. He can pull off the bald look, he can pull of long hair and now he can pull off white hair. Him smoking the cigar during the fights was amazing.
To be honest there are some movies which have a jaw dropping badass entries of female lead. For me the top one is Anushka Shetty in Bahubali 2 and then Nayanthara in Jawan. I was so amazed by their badass beauty that really I want to witness it again for the first time in big screens.
Priyanka in Don > aiswarya in dhoom 2> Nayan in jawan
As someone from Tamil Nadu- who has grown up watching Shankar movies - the vigilante-revenge-social message-genre did not feel new.. it was like watching Tamil movie in Hindi.. SRK was FABULOUS! absolutely nailed each look... Nayantara could've had more to do.. at the end of the day- its a man saving the world- just like it happens in every Atlee movie.. (worst thing about Bigil was having all the women players having "Bigil" on their T shirt during the game! I mean- they don't even have their own identity!) and as you pointed out- the biggest problem is having too many plots.. one of the friends from Chennai I spoke to said- 'paisa vasool' in the sense- you actually get to see 20 movies in a single movie when you go to an Atlee movie :D... At the end of the day- I am thinking about "longevity" of a movie... Personally, when I try to remember the story from Atlee movies so far- I really cannot remember empathysing or sympathising enough with the story to remember- but I do remember "moments" from it that stood out... while Shankar's movies have appealed more to me- coz they focus on one issue- delve deep in it.. give us time to connect with the cause and characters.. SRK moments from Jawan will definitely leave a lasting impact.. but I honestly cannot say the same for the story of the movie..

Completely agree that the meta SRK in real life vs “reel life” in both Pathaan and Jawan was what makes the stakes of the films resonate so much deeper with his audience , truly felt something when the father SRK showed up in the interval like TRUEE protective heroism it was impactful in ways it wouldn’t be if it was anyone else !

Absolutely...as rightly pointed out in all videos from this channel around Jawan & Pathaan, SRK isn't just making movies for commercial success, but he's very cleverly & smartly blurring the lines between his own metaverse outside cinema & merging it soo well in the subplots & dialogues that it leaves a far deeper impact on the audiences' hearts & minds! ❤️🔥
The 'Zinda hai' reference & last dialogues with him & Salman in Pathaan. The dying warrior look as the 1st scene, 'Baap & beta' dialogues, the monologue on elections of India in Jawaan & so many which I can't even recall atm.

Atlee knows how to package a movie well but Atlee has a reputation of making a movie we are familiar with. If Lokesh does it, we call it inspiration. When Atlee does it, we call it plagiarism. Nayanthara in combat scenes and my god Deepika in the flashback killed it 🙌🏼

Lokesh usually does give due credits to movies that he inspired from even though it just shades and reminiscent stuff (ie: Kaidhi )
but atlee’s case is you can feel it we have seen all this scenes before.
but he don’t even acknowledge it.Jawan was amalgamation of all the vigilante mass masala tamil films but the packaging and presentation wise he hit right chords.
Maybe this trend will work well in hindi belt but In tamil won’t be that case

I believe Priyamani’s role back story is edited out of the movie to avoid any backlash. The film mentions Bhopal gas tragedy to divert audiences attention of a similar event that took place in Visakhapatnam during 2020 lockdown. Keeping in the full back story of Priyamani’s character might have resulted in backlash from ruling party in AP
it was shot so well tho! And Priyamani is such a solid actor: Thought it would have really hit the emotional chord!

Whatever the back story is,it was too rushed,should have been more impactful considering Priyamani as an actor,also back stories of all girls are not shown,except Sanya Malhotra's story nothing was impactful,plus Nayantara's acting was bland,seemed too casual for police,also in the second half her role is sidelined and it's SRK takes the cake...too many cooks spoil the dish,similarly too many topics spoil a story,PPL who are using saying it's a massy story need to understand that even massy story can have coherent story...

Narmada and Azad's marriage was an arranged marriage, this was actually very realistic
Exactly, she even said on their wedding night, we are meeting alone for the 1st time and I thought you would be more romantic.
I almost wish we got the full movie with vikram rathore 😂 I'd hoot and cheer even if the film had no story and just had more srk moments with this type of swagger. The interval scene definitely hit it out of the part. The styling, the swagger, his acting, everything was so good! The belt and his styling reminded me (just a little bit) of gabbar singh from sholay as well!
Even upon the second viewing, I CHEERED SO HARD AT THAT MOMENT! Absolutely brilliant!
The messaging and all hardly mattered because the conviction and emotional chord was missing. All that matterred was Vikram Rathore. Don't remember when SRK displayed such swag. A Vikram Rathore spin off is needed...
Absolutely ,the emotional chord and connect is missing...because it's overstuffed with too many issues and topics...its like you studied multiple subjects and wrote it in one exam paper,taking a topic and developing it as to how it impacts citizens would have more effective rather than rushing through scenes...Vikram Rathore's performance was really good and it was a blast seeing him in the action scenes...would lie to see a spinoff of Vikram Rathore with how he spent time in the village once he was rescued...
Jawan 2 should be about Vikram Rathore battling the antagonist while Azad comes at the end with Narmala.

This is bigger than any of his 90s movie. 90s movies open big but not this big and movies where not this frontloaded. Successful movies ran for a long time. It is after ghajini that a opening day and opening weekend became a thing for audience. In 90s only trade people knew about this stuff. This mass hysteria and this frontloaded thing is something srk started feeling from Chennai express. Don't get me wrong the hype for the movie was always there but the impact of the opening is far greater now than the 90s

Our films used to be Pakka Commercial with Social Message right from 1960's.. It let us think, made us question the Politicians for welfares..

I am not here to fight with you. I am presenting you a new perspective, see if it works.
You said you are proud of atlee taking the legacy. No atlee didn't. You should be proud of vishuvardhan for taking the legacy for Tamil directors presenting their skills to Bollywood. Jawan is just 3hrs compilation of average tamil films. Farmer's story has already been done in kaththi and many other tamil movies including jayam ravi's utterflop bhoomi. The medical issue has been done form captain Vijaykanth 's ramanaa which was remade as gabbar. And the father son duo is as you know "arruche maavu" than in tamil cinema and Hindi too. You should be proud of vishuvardhan, vetrimaran , Kamal Hasan and many more. One more reason is the quality of films that atlee provides i don't know if you follow tamil cinema closely but Mohan Raja ( Thavi oruvan director) was being criticised for a long time because he used to present remake movies in tamil. And finally he came up with a mind-blowing Thani Oruvan. The same should happen to atlee. He has all resources he can collaborate with writers and put up a good show. I am not asking him to give me an art film but give me a good masala film. For eg: Gentelman , mudhalvan , sivaji, Ramana , Anniyan, Indian and many more which talk about social message movies.

I’m from Kerala , and no I didn’t feel the Antagonist was bad . It’s 1st time atlee presenting a villain in such a way . And Vijay did good enough , his calm suttle vibe was classy .

Actually I felt the story of Aishwarya and VR was more compelling and Narmadha and Azad coming into a love angle was not at all required, even though it was a love angle,no guilt or surprise was showcased in Azad's eyes on their first meeting! I felt Deepika and VR were the two most impactfull character of this whole movie and Sanya Malhotra was truly amazing within the girls and the farmer's story also totally worked for me! Father son reunite could have been li'll more explored and some action scenes could've been compromised from the second half so that Priyamani's story would have had the exposure that required! Overall for it's first pace and still with a heart to it people would feel the urge of watching it twice.
Priyamani scene was cut out from the movie fearing backlash from AP. They avoid being part of the boycott trend. But, I hope they release an uncut version on OTT.

In the finale when Kaali says, "Yeh log ab gaana gaayenge.. Sunna padega.." was absolute gold for me.. And yes, I felt that the villian should have been given some more exposure as he hardly does anything villian like in the present timeline.. In fact he's barely there in the 1st half of the film..
From the very first shot, what hooked me the most was the cinematography. Every frame looked like a painting. And SRK's entry was one of the best ever (I've seen tons of commercial movies from both North and South industry and I still think it's one of the best). From when he drowns to when his face is finally revealed, I was holding my breath the whole time

In tamil, its getting average response because, we are used to such movies started from shankar's gentleman in 1993.For hindi audience, its pretty much new with srk as solo lead. Also, post, 2014,there were not much bollywood movies which directly questions govt & systems barring gabbar is back. Its mostly about hindu-muslim,ind- pak, nationalism. Here & there, few like padman, toilet ek prem katha, article 15 came, but, it didn't ask the hard questions to the govt & its systems.

Bruh article 15 sent a very strong message to the government. And so is Rang De Basanti! Have you ever watched Wednesday? It’s indirectly asking government to provide safety to the normal citizens. Nasrudeen Shah’s monologue is top notch! Still gives me goosebumps. Bollywood has been making such movies but unfortunately people here in north don’t give such importance like south people do to such movies. Nana Parekar’s Krantiveer, Yuva, Nayak, Gulal, Rajneeti, Peepli Live,Delhi 6 and list goes on. The problem is Bollywood is more hyped with commercials rom com so people easily forget/ignore such a strong movies. But honestly Bollywood has been making such movies from long time too.

I didn’t feel any rush on the plot of farmer suicide, i felt the emotions really, i mean REALLY well. I felt it. The romantic angle is not bad, it is acceptable. Nayanthara’s character’s Acceptance of SRK is justifiable as their child’s need for a father and she was ready for accepting srk as her husband. Sanju baba’s entry was a twist and hilarious. The comparison of Simba and Mufasa touched me as the hindi dub of Lion King was done by SRK as Mufasa and Aryan as Simba.

Yes, unfortunately I wanted to ignore the familiarity but couldn't at all. I actually felt soo mad at the last scenes where SRK was talking about votes on Live. I felt like I'm watching old movies from tamil and telugu. Especially vijay movies and recently watched Jailer which had an impact as both movies Anirudh was music director.
I am a telugu, can clearly understand hindi, watched in hindi theatre and a fan of SRK from childhood. Still felt that more dialogues and acting could have made the movie enjoyable for us south fans.
In theatre south fans like me were only shouting for SRK where as North and other hindi audience were clapping for every scenes. Atleast hindi audience were very happy with the movie. Happy for SRK as he got a hit which was needed after pathaan.
But frustrated as a telugu fan. After watching this movie, I immediately watched Chennai express to see the acting of SRK 😂😊

One thing that you may want to address is the perceived invasion of Bollywood. Jawan is not like a South Indian or Tamil film that is "Pan Asian" and dubbed into Hindi. It's a Bollywood film created by Tamil creators. That, to me seems dangerous for existing Bollywood creators. It is a much better film, for example, than Pathaan. It's what Pathaan should have been.
Question is: Are Bollywood creators now going to feel threatened and compete with this type of "hybrid" film? I think if allowed, they will take over, and that's a good thing!

I personally felt the love angle was much better than Brahmastra. Though it might sound way too fast as per the story. I found it quite convincing because they were still discovering everything and before it could fall any further, the reveal of SRK being Vikram was a perfect shot for me.

To be honest movie is bit disappointing, as some one who grown up watching Telugu mass masala movies, I don't care about logic's and gravity defining scenes like lighting cigar scene. I thought it was cool. The issue is the story, it was like watching a mix of Money heist+ mersal + Bigil. One of things I hate in any genre of movies is song placements that halts the movie, this movie is so full of them. Instead of focusing on vikram rathore backstory and the issue at hand, whats the need for 2 songs? I was hyped about the movie and ignored Mr and Mrs Pollishetty release, thank god I watched it to get myself of the disappointment.

I agree, for South Indian, Tamilians in general, the movie had nothing new to offer. SRK uplifted and VJS acting and mesmerising stunt sequences uplifted this movie. And I was glad that Priayamani’s past was cut short, otherwise the movie would have dragged out considerably

I didn't enjoy the movie at all!
1. Concept- it wasn't fresh at all. We've seen the same concept in gabbar is back and kick. So it was nothing new.
2. Poor song placements.
3. Poor dialogues delivery by the antagonist. Setupathy made me cringe so many times and his dialogues were not clear.
4. Nayantara did not stand out for me. In fact nobody stood out except srk. In pathaan, John Abraham at least felt like a tough villain
5. First half was totally flat for me. It had nothing that would keep me engage until the last 10 mins of interval.

I feel like Nayanthara's role in the second half faded away into a background character/support character when compared to how badass she was shown in the first half. we didn't get to see her fight again and not get that much screen time in the second half also they abandoned like 2/3 stories of the girls in the squad could've done a little more with Nayanthara and the girls
I didn't think of this as that big of an issue. They wanted to show more of Vikram Rathore Srk in the 2nd half, we would have got less of him if all other actors got more screen time.
Although I agree the final version of the film does have questions on some sub plots but if you would have noticed. The Chaleya song was cut short.. Scenes which we saw where Nayantara is holding Srk's hand is removed.. I feel the intention of Atlee was to show the entire romantic angle was with this song and as that was cut short we got an abrupt version. Every girl in Srk's gang must have had a story of their own but what to keep and what to remove was a huge challenge.. Probably in directors cut we might get more details of that. I would really love to see all of their stories. I do not agree with farmer suicide scenes were hammed.. They were so emotional that half of the people in my theater were crying. It was intended to be of that nature. That's exactly what we all feel. A farmer is buying a tractor at 13% and a luxury car at 8% interest. And when not paid he is humiliated in front of his family that he kills himself. These issues are so relevant that it questions are any of these political parties doing anything at all?

We should appreciate the fact that the female supporting characters are well written, not like yes we are showing woman empowerment that's why women gang. Plenty of other things about this movie also landed well, such as Deepika's cameo, I initially thought she would have a small cameo with Kali Killing her while going after Vikram Rathore, but her execution ( hanging) being suspended and delayed till Azad hits 5 years hit me so hard ❤ The best song Aararai Raaro playing showing Azad getting older day by day and the day of Ashwariya getting executed coming closer literally made me break down into tears❤

Emotionally didnt connect with the movie at all. I think every scene was copied or borrowed by all the other atlee movies itself.
Hi Anmol. The way you expressed your opinion is pretty much on point. As a south Indian myself, I could recognize the fact that some scenes of the films were inspired from multiple Tamil films and hence receiving hate from them. But that doesn't change the fact that the movie was actually well made and presented. Although the action set pieces were stunning visually and the the choreography was brilliant, the camera angles and movement didn't really support it to the fullest in my opinion. Before I could really enjoy the one frame of the action, it moved to the next frame.
Also the movie had multiple plots involved which can never be pulled inside 3 hrs. Farmer's issue, Hospital issue, supposed poisoning issue(Priyamani's) were all serious one's which demands screen time for us audience to empathize for them and feel the need to take a proper revenge on the culprits. As you mentioned the issues were resolved at a magical pace, which was hard to believe. Also there is the story of Vikram Rathode and Kaali. Azaad and team trying to stop Kaali from becoming the authority. Atlee really tried his best to package multiple subplots without really dragging too much, but failed to provide a few more minutes to let the emotion stick to us before moving on.
The way VJS was portrayed was intimidating on paper, but not much on the screen. He was a cold blooded businessman who has no issue killing of people without any consequences, but how he rose to that level wasn't really explored. The only thing we know about him is that He is the 4th largest weapons dealer. His character could've been given time to establish himself the way John Abraham's character was done in Pathaan. Sunil Grover backstabbing was a good plot twist, but the way it was revealed wasn't packing a punch.
Imagining a Thalapathy Vijay cameo (in place of Sanjay Dutt) would have been the craziest cameo in a film. It would've been an amazing surprise and ppl would be losing their minds.🤩💥🔥
The most impressive part of the film was that there were no loose ends. Atlee really connected the dots he plotted in the Vikram's era to the climax(The promise of finding out the Truth about Vikram, the faulty guns, the execution etc.) The past returning to VR and joining hands was a treat to watch. Had it been explored in a deeper way, it would've been a perfect ending.🔥
Intensity was missing my friend. This is not what you make, commonly known bhelpuri. Southern movies bring more intensity when showing social issues. IAnd on 2nd day of movie, collection crashed by 30 percentages in Tamilnadu; might be because of so many films combined in the one film. I saw Jailer and except for 15 minutes when Tamannah showed up; movie was excellent and power packed. And Rajni's screen presence is much better than SRK.
I watched it twice , people in theatre loved it like a star here , but a social media roasting atlee , not cinephile or something , normal people can say the exact scenes the movie taken inspiration ,easily 25 films , Even the dialogue did not changed , and the social message , again I loved the film , addicted to opening and interval

One thing that stood out to me was that each and every frame of the movie felt driven by rage. By a passionate need to prove a point. It really felt that SRK and Gauri were pissed at what had happened these last few years, and they were holding no punches back in delivering this sledgehammer of a response. Especially the sheer force with which their names were displayed.
An 8 ish yr old kid was enjoying the movie with his parents and i thought wow srk love cutting across generations yayyyiee
The problem is we have seen same scenes and story line through south indian movies already thats why its not a new one .
SRK in his last speech felt like completing the monologue he gave in Swadesh after the school was opened. Each word felt like he said it from his heart.
Am I the only one who thought this movie was absolute nonsense? The first half of the movie was quite entertaining but my god the second half was pathetic. I thought all the illogical scenes, terrible dialogues and comedic portrayal of Vijay Sethupathi as a villain killed the movie. Deepika Padukone was outstanding in her cameo role and SRK did what he was supposed to but honestly the movie just didn’t connect for me

The beginning portion of the film up until SRK's dialogue of saying "Main kaun hoon" was Marvelous.
The farmer storyline and presentation was great. It made me tear up,from cheering a maniac SRK to almost tearing up is amazing.
Revelation of the bald character being Azad was a great surprise nobody anticipated.
Zinda Banda was synonym to Jhoome Jo Pathaan where you might not feel the song while listening in your headphones but you'd be forced to root and dance in a packed theatre.
Nayanthara SRK romantic storyline was authentic as it was an arranged marriage instead of falling in love at first sight. Nayanthara accepting Azad had more to do with her daughter choosing him,yes,but also the fact that he was a cop. I believe that was already a plus point for her to accept him,not to mention,how good looking he looked.
I liked the Hospital scene, it's the reality of today's story. Sania Malhotra dominated the scene. Health Minister bit was also funny. Her scene coming out of the court was top notch.
Hospital action scenes were great but could've been longer.
Vijay's character is nowhere near the John's Jim.
Interval block was one the best scenes, probably ever.

I liked the srk nayanthara track and its speed and so did many people, due to one reason...very rarely does our cinema showcase arrange marriage, it always goes for love stories, and arrange marriages (which are still a major percentage of Indian weddings annually) are rarely shown or looked down upon...jawan shows it subtly and gracefully.
And the daughter angle is also very convincing, the nayanthara dialogue "rishta toda tha tab bhi suji ke liye, ab jodungi tab bhi uski khushi ke liye" hit home 💯👌🏻
I still don’t buy why Srk has agreed for marriage with Nayanthara despite her on going conflict with him.. it only puts jeopardy on his larger life goal.. so many logic like this mossing..
The role of vijay sethupathi is top notch i am a big big fan of his acting skill and his own swag what a class actor he is ,and priyamani role back story has been cut by the cencor board which is one of the most imp story but hence the movie isn't a normal movie ,it will give u very imp messages regards with our society.....and a bad asss srk love u bhai
Atlee mixed many films that were released earlier in Tamil into Jawan, that's why getting bad reviews in south.

I waited to watch any review from tried and refused about Jawan till I watched the film! 😂 I was so curious to know what the take was that it I almost clicked on the videos but I didn't. Now that I have, I think we are on the same page. (Relief!)
Baap SRK > Beta SRK hands down. Watched it with my 2 girlfriends and we all were bowled over by Vikram Rathore! The dialogue 'Main Kaun Hoon? " followed by the name on screen Shah Rukh Khan sent goosebumps!! Vikram Rathore and his clad of veterans in that chase sequence... What a treat for the eyes. The no of times I said 'danggg' can't be counted. SRK in the monologue scene is so real. It absolutely felt it was him and not the actor. I cheered, hooted, clapped and danced without caring for the world much to the embarrassment of my gfs. But when it's the man who's done a whole song on your name, the love has to be reciprocated 😂
I cried while watching the farmer story, and Priyamani's story no way they were abrupt. I may seem biased but except for the lack of depth for V Sethupathi I found nothing wrong in the movie, and even lack of his role is justified because there's just too much in the story that even 3 hours seemed short. Also, did you get this idea of Thalapathy instead of Sanju baba from reddit? because I wrote exactly the same there on one of my posts.

No bro. Everyone wanted Vijay's cameo. The want for Vijay to appear in the second half of Jawan was a unanimous demand. Nothing unique about that. Each to their own of course about what worked and did not in the movie otherwise!
South contribution to this massive collections would have been enhanced if Vijay cameo was realised. I’m sure they both got cut by the censor differently, so at least the south version should have had that cameo. Maybe it was a star ego that led to this not happening.
For his skill Sethupathy was grossly underutilized in the movie. The climax would have been way more elevated if he was projected as powerful, cunning and sadistic villain.

But because of the drought of good movies in Bollywood recently & you are kinda new to the atlee type of movies we can understand.
It's really repetitive for us & there was no emotional connection.

It's not just because of lack of quality movies in the North, If it wasn't for Shahrukh Khan nobody would give a damn and I can see some notable "so-called" reviewers are pouring praises for this movie claiming the packaging was right, which they would have bashed, if it was any other actor. And many were talking about the social issues the film conveys, but aren't we seeing these things in one or the other movies recently? Now everybody says Atlee is a great director, whereas he copied most of the sequences scene by scene from SRK's Chakde India in Bigil. Yes we all grew up with SRK films, but I feel the people need not defend such a mediocre film, just because you have your favorite actor in it.

I watched the movie today abroad. I totally loved it. I do agree that Priyamani’s story could have been shown. 5 more mins of the story would not hurt. At least if the OTT release could add it, would be great.

A very unpopular opinion but after watching Pathaan and Jawan, I'm missing the Srk from Zero, Harry Met Sejal, Dear Zindagi etc! I guess I'm the person who loves massy films but with Atleast 10% logic, there was none in both the movies

Sorry bro but I watched the movie and it's horrendous. It appeared that the intention of the makers was to address social issues and portraying srk larger than life. It does a very bad job at balancing both. No problem in addressing social issues but it was very forced.
Only the interval scene was great from action pov.

Ok, we have seen all this in different movies, but it was nice. But my single joy came from the fact that there was no instance that the lead-ladies had to show skin. I remember Deepika in pathaan in skimpy clothes and face-palming myself. I am happy atlee has shown that a movie can be made without half-naked women..
As a women I agree!! I have no problem with skimpy clothing when required, but sometimes it just seems unnecessary over sexualization of a female character. I absolutely loved Nayantara's character and style. She looked classy, hot as well as a cool boss babe. ❤

I loved Ranbir and Alia's love story in Brahmastra. Alia's character was an adventurous person and keeping with thay personality her going on Shiva's journey and helping Shiva against his fight with the dark forces seemed logical. In Jawan the love story was felt like a tertiary plot point forced into the story line! I would have loved to see a few more scenes between Azad and Narmada.

I saw Jawan yesterday with my friends, & one sentence i have for the film ia that "JAWAN IS A SRK FILM."
Everything about the film. Every scene of the film. Just EVERY "F" THING was just SRK.❤
I loved the first half especially but the hostage situation, Sanjay-Srk portion just reminded me of money heist with “heist” replaced by revenge, social issues.. even the metro hostage situation
Too much noise. Lack of engaging story. Jump from this scene to that scene. No empathy with the characters and let a little child find a papa for her mummy in an instant. Better to watch an srk classic again.
I agree with u completely on how the back stories were rushed in such a haste that it took time to resonate and sink them in. Also i felt they undermined nayanthara's talent and made deepika's short cameo resonate more with the audience than nayanthara.
Vijay's charachter deserved better writing. That's it. He is a wonderfull actor. Watch super delux and 96 and some of his more work. You will know what i am talking about.

VJS should stop acting in badly written characters period no matter how much he is paid. VJS in a strongly written character can outshine anyone else. I guess they purposely underwritten him in this movie as he can easily outshine SRK in terms of screen presence and performance if the writing is strong
