For me, the movie met all my expectations. I mean what's there to hate. We already knew this was gonna be a masala entertainer and that's what we were delivered. Its not like i was hoping for Interstellar and i got housefull 4. I went to watch a complete entertainer and saw the same.

@@2Face572they make every year something new many got work for critics but same always audience don't like their experiments and these movies getting flop so now they rarely make an experimental movies I give you example gadar 2 and omg 2 same day release one which is typical masala movies which is average getting all time blockbuster with 510 cr in India and another which is experimental with social massage got I think 140-150 cr got appreciation from critics but didn't get audience that's why they don't even think about doing experiments now and give audience only typical Bollywood movie becoz dumbass audience want only that not good movies
For once I ignored a movie's flaw because of the bold statement that this movie and Shahrukh made. This is how movies should be made...theme wise.

Other than songs, everything else is really good. Movie is properly paced, doesn't drag. SRK and all the other actors are presented really well. BGM is exhilarating. It is a mass masala film. Your expectations should be that.
Same here. Was bit disappointed with Anirudh song but background songs move the movie soo well. If song was great i would have gave it 9.5 but SRK shows how much he care for his fan. He is no more Raj and Rahul anymore. I was bit sad on the realisation of it but just have to accept it. He pulled his role soo well especially the father role. Normally Vijay steal the show from the lead but first time he was not able to steal the show. Despite he was great but SRK hard work and dedication won my heart.
Story is like any South Indian movie story nothing unique except SRK. If u r a die hard fan u can go and watch but dont go with so much expectations like kuch bahat jyada unique chiz experience karke aoge like that

I personally had a blast watching it. Back to back dopamine bombs every next scene. I can see some people not being able to process this format as it's very prominent in South Indian movies, but to me it's their charm, their own signature. Was it perfect? - No, has flaws like anything. I do believe they could've cut down the SRK-Deepika song and instead shown a bit more of their life.
The part that had the best pacing of all were the first metro heist and the sequence of Deepika and other inmates taking care of a growing Azad, ngl I did cry a few times.
That said with all it's flaws, was I entertained? - You god damn bet I was. I left the hall very content. Hope such collaborations increase in future and address the flaws in their predecessors.

We partly do it to ourselves, it's not wrong to look at promotional material and get excited but it may be problematic to sit and spin thoughts around what COULD BE when we live in the time of deliberately misguided promotions to keep the suspense hidden well.

Seriously, feels like in the process of being a movie reviewer. You've lost the movie enjoyer. Kind of a deal breaker. All of the stuff you said was bang on true. But I still can't shake off the feeling that despite all of this when I left the theatre, I was feeling happy, about the money and time I've spent. And despite all of it the movie stayed with me.

SRK gave a phenomenal performance, especially in distinguishing between the two characters!!! The movie could have done away with one or two issues and one or two songs. Would have made the film shorter and more crispier. Also yes it would have helped avoid the 'instant solution to each problem' scenario as having one issue would have allowed us to dwell deeper
I think with a very long runtime, they have to go with 'instant solution to each problem'. There's no other way.

Whatever anyone says.. this is one of the best mass movie for me.. the director and SRK made the audience go where they wanted them to.. when they wanted them to hoot, the crowd hooted.. when they wanted them to be seeious.. there was pin drop silence.. when they wanted them to cry... well I cried... the movie which has comedy, action, romance.. and most importantly.. A SOCIAL MESSAGE.. ❤.. I was not a huge SRK fan, but surely I am now... He is classs... The starting scene, the SRK speech towards the ending and.. those reality checks that what is actually happening in this country.. were the best part of me... Also, a story is nice when you dont realise you are looking at a story.. you feel connected enough to certainly live it.. Well I completely lost myself... the interval looked verryy long... IT IS A MUST WATCH.. ❤
I think Vikram was much ahead than Jawan in music, story, the interval and Rolex scene was Epic which jawan failed to land.

As you mentioned, the movie wasn't amazing but it was one of the best movie experience I've had in quite some time. If I'm not wrong then Nolan also uses this format of fast paced storytelling in his work like in dark knight and you can find some traces of it in Oppenheimer as well but he always focuses on the important characters which lacked in Jawan. If you watch the movie closely there is no main character. It's just Shahrukh.

Jawan really felt like a good 4 hour movie cut into three hours. It is a little tough, because the entire format is definitely meant for the big screen, but the plot would have worked better as a 4 episode series. Atlee needs to be more patient with showing emotional scenes (Talking about the first part of the flashback and that weird happy farrmer montage). But I felt that the comedy wasn't really corny or forced like Pathan (Boobles). I really enjoyed the funny parts. And I found nothing else to complain about. This was clearly the shout of a man who is unfairly asked to prove his nationalism every day by a crazed section of the public.

You words are really correct FDFS gya tha iske liye but this really disappointed me very very much.
I just came from the theater and my my it was so good. The whole theater was screaming, clapping and so on.. me and my friends enjoy it so much and the theater was full and even fully booked for the next 2 to 3 weeks ... I can't express my feelings. It was hard to go with the movie flow but as a SRK fan I can say I am proud to watch it...

Yes I loved how this movie portrayed the problems of farmers... How sad it was to see the death of the farmer and after 2 hrs how they fired bullets on soldiers.... Like their death won't have any effect on families....

I didn't like the songs at first, but I really enjoyed them in the theatre. The only time I liked an action film this much was MI7. The fight with Nayanthara at the hospital was my favorite part. Maybe I liked it so much because I expected something like Gadar 2. 😂

The first half of the movie had the potential to be a good movie but the second lacks behind .personally this film was above average for me but film like this and OMG 2 it's a huge step forward for bollywood to get back into business /tbh there was not even single big budget movie from bollywood that was good in last year and this year (Pathan was mid ).that being said this movie is one time watch for sure and definitely 100% better than pathan

When I saw the preview of this movie then I understood that the movie is full of masala entertainer or I got what I wanted. From my point of view the movie is not bad at all and the movie is very good. The thing is that if you like KGF or PUSHPA movies then you will definitely like this also.

Thank you yogi. You summed up the exact points that were plaguing my thoughts after watching this movie but couldn't express for some reason. I absolutely loved catching the movie in a packed hall with the hooting and cheering and whistling. But after the credits i didn't feel anything more but i couldn't put my finger on why. Why was I feeling not satisfied even when I was believing I was satisfied.

Ok so according to me , the interval was better than climax which we all know is not a good sign , other than that there isn't anything anyone can say bad , I mean praising is another thing but you can't say bad . And one thing we all are missing , I just love the fighting sequences , the VFX were good and I like the unique style. If GADAR 2 can collect 500 CR then I must say , it is far far better than that and eventually break every record......

Many has no idea that the story and the characterization in this movie are references from atlee's previous movies. finally someone gave a perfect review. Not at all a bad movie, its that expected more from that climax fight scene or from the villain, plus vijay was still laughing even such a huge money he took got lost. Plus the interrupting songs was headache. Nayantara's role was also very limited, and sanjay dutt's pj and appearance like we expected really more than just a senior officer with no background story like why he helped azad. Sheer Disappointment watching your video. I mean, what is this all showcasing We are intellectual folks and we only want movies like Interstellar, prestige etc. Bro, this is entertainment and it has/should have a place for all kinds of movies. This movie is quite good, the social messaging, editing, cast, direction, BGM, cinematography, powerful delivery by the cast and many more.
If everyone starts making films like you mentioned then it will get boring. Mind you, this is not just a mass entertainer - this is a movie with quite a strong social message for the viewer.
Please logic ki baat mat karna, all of you love when hollywood showcase such scenes or even south film industry for that matter.

I mean I really loved the movie a lot and I felt every emotion which were supposed to be felt ❤️
Also the storyline had a decent pace according to me, I mean I hate slow paced movies which start feeling lethargic after a point of time
Also, Jawan was far better in screenplay, cinematography and Storyline as compared to KGF (Again my Opinion) because tbh I'm not a fan of KGF 🙏🏻

Agree with you, lekin main disappointment stems from the fact ke we are not used to of seeing bollywood star in South Cinema style. Otherwise I think most south mass-actions mai buhat hi zyada unique story lines nahi hotin except Vikram and Kgf of course. Pushpa was not a unique story but was an entertainer for sure.

Honestly even with the “Tamil” style story telling aspect… songs are better integrated in SS Rajamouli films and used as better plot devices.
