Rudd really are beautiful fish and it's surprising how many commercial carp lakes have them, also big perch, but nobody fishes for them. What a lot of stuff you took, I'm sure that most of it wasn't needed. I've caught nearly all of my big rudd, 2lb+ on cockles, I find them to be an excellent bait especially when everybody else is using pellets etc.. In future please focus on your float so that we can see what's actually happening. The float going under is what every angler wants to see after all. Enjoyed the video, keep them coming.
Thanks for watching Tony. Yes you right I did take a lot of stuff, I had a preconceived idea I wanted to catch a big Rudd on the pole and I can't pole fish without a good seat and all the gear. Cockles is something I've yet to use, great tip I'm going to give them a try. Tight lines.
@PaulVicaryfishing when are coming to show my members how it's done then 😂 I've a lovely old estate lake with some cracking big rudd.. and my new crucians are hungry and waiting for you 😂😂
Great result, well done.
Thanks for watching Stephen, that was one of the toughest days fishing I've had for ages, rewarded with 3 lovely fish eventually.
Tight lines.

Good to see the Rudd, think I had some of the Grand Union but they may not have been 'pure' Rudd I wasn't sure.
Thanks for watching.
Absolutely gorgeous gold bars, worth the effort and pain lol
Thanks James, it was a uncomfortable days fishing.
