Fair play to you Paul for spending the time with young Ross i'm sure many wouldn't and you obviously made the young mans day. Must have been 25 years since I fished that stretch.
Hi Neil, Thanks for watching, he was no trouble and made a slow days fishing much more enjoyable. Can you dm via Facebook if you have a moment, need to pick your Thames knowledge brain. Tight lines.
@Paulvicaryfishing Thank you so much for involving Ross on your fishing trip here in Fordingbridge. He was so chuffed that he got to meet you and help you net some of your catches. He's even happier now he's seen the video and gets to share it with his friends.
Hi Paul loved this video, it brought back so many memories, my late wife and I used to manage The George pub Fordingbridge in the early 1990's, I was lucky enough to make friends with 2 of the best roach anglers fishing the Avon at the time, Dr Mark Everard and Dave Howes, as a result of their advice and tips from September to March (1991/2) I caught 13 roach over 2lb, all from your favourite swim the end peg and as you said a very long trot especially I only fished with bread. Keep up the videos thoroughly enjoy them tight lines Alan
Thanks for watching Alan, glad your enjoyed it. Sounds like a great time in your life, especially that many big Roach. I shall return to that last swim. Tight lines.
It's great to be able to fish the Avon without paying a fortune for the privilege. Despite the fishing being a bit disappointing you certainly made Ross's day by spending so much time with him. Don't know if those small fish are what you get these days but when I last fished the Avon in the 1950s average size was much bigger. Good luck.
Thanks for watching Tony, yes it does seem quite hard to get on the Avon for a days fishing. We've managed to get some great bites on camera just for you Tony, but you'll have to wait until December time. You will love it!
U will catch a dog roach 1 day through persistence 👍 spending ur day with little Ross just shows ur a genuine nice guy with respect and principles 👏 it's a great though that ur gesture will be met with equal enthusiasm 1 day when Ross is approached by a young angler 😊 treat people the way u would like to be treated.. Making friends with people you don't know is a powerful trait. 👍💙
Thanks for watching and your kind words, it was a real pleasure to have Ross beside me all day, his fishing tales are part of PV fishing folklore! My perseverance has paid off, wait till the video out on the 22nd! Tight lines.
Happy birthday for last Monday Ross.
