Quick question, is it possible to play two players with this device? We are travelling around this summer. This device looks like it will be easily portable and give kids quick and easy entertainment, in hotel rooms.
this is just a pi zero or a pi zero 2 w in a fancy case its why its so smooth you can just make one for less money and no chinese back doors (this is not paranoid) they actually do not see a problem sneaking in back doors in a lot of things they sell its required in there country (its why there phones are banned in usa / uk )
I have this system and I love it. I have only run into issues with 2 games not loading. Some people do not have the time to create their own. It's 40 bucks and plug and play, what else could you ask for. I am not a purist , so it's the great for passing the time and the game selection is amazing.
I dunno, man. The fact that it can't even play Mario Kart 64 without taking a dump is a major demerit against it in my eyes, even for just casual play.
I understand there is a version of Emuelec online that doesn't have restricted setting options.. maybe.. and I do mean maybe, the Emuelec could be replaced with the unlocked version and see how much the games could be tweaked then.
Thanks for reviewing this Powkiddy Y6. For the price, you get lots. I read the comment section. Heating could be an issue. I agree with the comments. Open it up, and drill some holes for the hot air to get released. This made me remember when my friend put his PS3 in a tight shelf area that enclosed the PS3. It cooked his PS3. Then my friend had to purchase a new PS3, but kept it in an open space, and had no problems after this due to air circulation.
True man. Isn't the pro x better and more ReLiable. Some China stuff are too delicate. How much us this? Otherwise I'll just pay someone to modified my ps2 with alotes of games.
As someone who uses old smartphones for emulation, it doesn't surprise me at all that this can run these games this well. My 7 year old LG V20 runs most PSP games in full speed with normal settings at 1080p, and many at 1440p (PSP games look great on that 1440p LCD). A 60 dollar dongle outperforming a 70 dollar (used, of course) 7 year old smartphone is not shocking.
It's about damn time the smaller chips start evolving into something better! I've held off buying any new emulator console stuff for about two years. I am waiting on a cheap option to play PS2 games on my tv but alas, I am probably gonna put a Emu-Pc together sooner than that... Good video!
They have - look at what's possible on a Steam Deck, you're just not going to find those powerful, smaller chips in something cheap like this. You get what you pay for (generally) when it comes to tech. You can't expect the world for $50-100, proper emulation, particularly of newer systems requires a decent bit of CPU power.
No, the best? so far was a super console X3. 117 games I think, but none of my favorites. Estsy has FD for a PS1 mini for two hundred. But you need to buy a mini first. That's a little $$ for a glorified toy. What sucks is I found a awesome tv stick that has the full genesis library for $80 delivered. Wtf? No love for the Sega CD I guess.
Emulation has literally never been anything but hardware intensive. It may looks easy today, but that's often because you are running software that was originally developed on/for a much less powerful machine 10+ years ago.
@@SuguruMontanaive been reading up on that myself and what ive found is it may look like youre saving the game but youre actually not, the only save you actually have is the save state thing which isnt always reliable from what ive seen with PC steeamers so i cant imagine its any better foe a micro sized retro console.

Hi guys, I was uploading some games in the micro sd, and I do not know what happened, but the N64 emulator is not appearing in the system. When I turn it on, all the consoles appear except the n64. Any idea what it could be, please? In the sd memory, it appears the n64 folder with the games. Thank you in advance
a more recent comment, "My unit freezes and gets extremely 🔥..." if I get one of these, I'm definitely going to be looking at a cooling option for it, starting with cracking open the white case, and drilling numerous 3/16th inch holes through both sides for air flow,
Hiya, any chance that you could look at how you could replace some of the roms on this. When I look at the sd card, the only files that I can see are Emulec operating files, there are no visible rom folders, and Windows Explore reckons that there's only 1gb+ used on the sd card!
There are videos on TH-cam showing how to..the common way is to connect through your home network through WiFi or with Ethernet..this device definitely doesn't have an ethernet port..if it doesn't have WiFi either my suggestion would be to try first Slacko Puppy Linux..I use 5.7 up to 8.0 or any lite live distros you can download..I usually keep 20 odd distros for this purpose..but I'm an emulation obsessive..oh and you'll need an SD card reader too
Peace and blessings to everyone. 😅🤣 I'm just laughing because that dongle is garbage. Just being honest. It would make me angry discovering I can't play the full version of any of the classic games due to a crash and then pushing me away from gameplay.
HI, I'm looking for one of these that will run Goldeneye N64 well enough to play. will this one do that??? Thank you for your videos I really enjoy them
Just go buy a used 64 unless you have one already and go buy everdrivefor $199 to 299... You will have every game from the United States Europe and Japan on one cartridge and what you will never have to worry about lagging or nothing ever playing again and you'll be playing original hardware.. unless you are really Tech Savvy most people will never be able to get these devices to run right on their computer or the little cheap device they brought just get that ever drive and plug it in to your original console and be thoroughly amazed at all the stuff you can do with it instead of wasting time on that other stuff.. I'm not trying to be a smart-ass or anyting but I promise you'll thank me later.
@@kennyjurgens9084 No prob, that company makes them for a lot of different systems mostly cartridge based. KRiZZ is the OG of it tho. Are controllers running with batteries? How long do they last?
Hi guys, I was uploading some games in the micro sd, and I do not know what happened, but the N64 emulator is not appearing in the system. When I turn it on, all the consoles appear except the n64. Any idea what it could be, please? In the sd memory, it appears the n64 folder with the games. Thank you in advance
How hot does the device get, if it gets hot at all?
a more recent comment, "My unit freezes and gets extremely 🔥..." if I get one of these, I'm definitely going to be looking at a cooling option for it, starting with cracking open the white case, and drilling numerous 3/16th inch holes through both sides for air flow,
Impressive but doesn't beat the PS Classic when it was on sale for $20!
Isn't there a shortcut for 4:3 ratio like L3+R3?
On v2 of the firmware you can change aspect ratios
Hiya, any chance that you could look at how you could replace some of the roms on this. When I look at the sd card, the only files that I can see are Emulec operating files, there are no visible rom folders, and Windows Explore reckons that there's only 1gb+ used on the sd card!
There are videos on TH-cam showing how to..the common way is to connect through your home network through WiFi or with Ethernet..this device definitely doesn't have an ethernet port..if it doesn't have WiFi either my suggestion would be to try first Slacko Puppy Linux..I use 5.7 up to 8.0 or any lite live distros you can download..I usually keep 20 odd distros for this purpose..but I'm an emulation obsessive..oh and you'll need an SD card reader too
My unit freezes and gets extremely 🔥...
Do u have a vid on how to build your own???
Oh em GEEEE! THE Y6! 😮😮😮😍😍😍
Pretty cool. I've never played Mario kart but looks like fun. 👍😎
how is that possible??!
@@reggaerock I never owned that game. I saw some videos of the game. I keep hoping Nintendo will make a new 4k system with their best games in 4k. 👍😎
@@donjaun540 a Nintendo Switch 2 (or whatever they will call it) is on the horizon but hasn't been officially announced so I'm sure it's years away
@@reggaerock I've had a lot of physical problems. I hope I'm alive and able to purchase and play those retro games. 🎮
Those words dont even go in the same sentence 😥
does anyone know, if i got 2 of these, would i be able to play mario party 4 player using 4 controllers?
Can you save your game progress I.e for the ps one
Wonder if batocera would be better or is this batocera?
It's a custom version of emuelec
I got the game stick but it won’t let me change the ds orientation
Where can we download a build?
Any chance it has the Aliens/AvP arcade games or The Simpsons?
I have the same system , yes it has Aliens, I havn't found The Simpsons though. There are so many games to go through.
02228 The Simpsons (arcade) and 16 other Simpsons games though some are repeated across systems.
Does it have Toy Story 2 for PS1?
it's that emelec?
Yet i know it's not that perfect. But i guess it, just have Mini PC or Raspberry Pi instead.
Does this have amiga on it?
Mario kart 64 crash because of the screen thing they disable something to get it to run so well
What's the chipset on this? Amlogic?
Is def jam fight for New York really on here
Peace and blessings to everyone. 😅🤣 I'm just laughing because that dongle is garbage. Just being honest. It would make me angry discovering I can't play the full version of any of the classic games due to a crash and then pushing me away from gameplay.
With y6 can we play between 2 human on psp games ?
No the emulator does not have this option
Are there snes games on there such as Mario world and super Mario 3?
Yes all of the mario games up to mario 64
Isn't that little dongle a Stadia knockoff?
Good
Can you play Super Mario 64 DS with full analog control on this?
Yes it uses the left stick
How to add game . How to clone sd card??
@@llnemesisll7129 ok, thanks for letting me know
@@kennyjurgens9084 No prob, that company makes them for a lot of different systems mostly cartridge based. KRiZZ is the OG of it tho. I tried to post some other stuff for you to know but apparently TH-cam didn't want me to pass that information along so they just deleted my comment lol... But yeah any cartridge base system the everdrive is where it's at. KRiZZ tho don't use the knockoffs
This runs goldeneye very well
@@friendlyjunco6836 Hey, thank-you
Just curious if anyone knows what the CPU chipset is on this?
It's the amilogic s905x2
Can I plug that device into my TV or do I need a computer?
HDMI stick
Load the sd card on too another device and see if it's the device or sd is too slow to handle it.
There is a good idea. A better quality sd card might be the trick.
I just hate the ps controller the Xbox syle is hands down better
what wrestling games does this have?
