I’d like to start by saying congrats on the new channel, I know wrestling is a passion of yours and I’m always happy hearing that people are making content that has to do with their passion. To be happy working means you aren’t really working right? lol so good for you and again congratulations. That being said, I love your tech demos and retro gaming, it’s what made me sub to you and watch most of your videos and many of your live streams. I am not a wrestling fan really at all. So in the live streams when it switches to that subject I sometimes go do something else or check back in as I don’t even know who you’re referring to and by the time I’ve googled them, you’re talking about someone else lol. I try to keep up but it’s one of those subjects where I’d love to learn but I’d need a little one on one to get into it lol. If you ever hold a Q and A stream or something, I’d love to know and I’d watch it to learn more and maybe join that channel one day. Until then you can count on me being a devoted watcher of your tech stuff and just a supporter of your wrestling channel as I said, so happy you’re doing what you love.
@@likilikiki well,It's expected for the ps3. I guess that's why it only had 1 game for it in there. I was happy to see so many Saturn games. Majority of these plug n play systems barely ever offer many titles. I'm definitely a big Dreamcast, Saturn and PC Engine CD fan!!😁
@@JRod-zr8qk The reason there's only 1 PS3 title is because the games are massive in size. But that is not really my point. There are plenty of mini PC's that play PS3 with no issues but this one is not that powerful (outdated) And if you only really care about the 16 -128 bit stuff there are much cheaper systems that work just fine. I'm not saying this thing is terrible, I just reacted because you said it was a "great mini PC" tbh. It's not really 😉
Seems like a good collection of games. Nice to see a plug and play with Sega/Mega CD games, have not seen too many with that. Hope it has Snatcher and Popful Mail and other great games. The only game on the video I saw having problems is Rayman Origins for PS3.
Thanks for the review...I would like to know at what point it is not enough for proper emulation...is it good for PS2, PS3, Xbox, 360...at what point is is inadequate?
I'm having issues with this PC playing Dreamcast, PS2, and GC smoothly. It plays some 64 games fine, others not so much. 32bit and earlier seems ok, but I'm getting kicked out of a lot of games. Overall, I'm returning it.
Retro Gaming Guy, I would appreciate it if you add an overlay that shows the current FPS, CPU usage, GPU usage, and the resolution of the games in future videos. I think adding those will help us better understand the capabilities of the PC used so we can compare it with other PCs before buying the PC.
Hi, really appreciate your informative reviews, but what is the retro game console or mini plug & play PC that is worth shipping to South Africa for you. need your input.
I have not read through the comment section but my question is does the game work with the original attachments? i.e. have you tried playing Dance Dance on a PlayStation dance pad?
Hi, I love your channel. I have purchased a few plug and play drivers on your recommendations. Love them. Thank you Is there a plug and play HD you can recommend for a fully functional Daphne emulator ?
Overpriced. Amazon has this mini PC for $483 (just add your own Batocera download): GMKtec Gaming Mini PC Computers AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS(Turbo 4.75GHz) 32GB DDR5 2TB SSD Windows 11 Pro/Dual LAN/USB 4.0/ WiFi 6E, BT5.2/ HDMI, DP/Dual Fan, NUCBOX K5 32GB+2T
The sonic games in genesis weren't duplicates. You could plug the sonic games into the sonic and knuckles cart while that cart was plugged in and would give you sonic 2 and 3 with a playable knuckles. This did not work for sonic 1. 😀 you couldn't scrape any artwork for those alt versions so that was cool to see (been out of the game since pre covid, just getting back).
Sonic 3 connected to Knuckles cartridge is actually the full game, the way it was meant to be played. They slip the game in two parts for some reason, I do not remember why.
Hi RGG, love your work. Have you thought of or ever tried to install an external GPU to a mini PC like the M93p tiny? Would be awesome to see from you.
So I have recently switched over to a Beelink mini pc for the majority of my pc usage. I have a full scale gaming pc I've sued for years and now I can get a similar experience out of mini PCs so I go that route for convenience 90% of the time now. Everything has come a long way in the last 2 years. Depends what you play. If playing Fortnite or modern AAA games then a gaming pc is better but for retro gaming and AAA games up to 2 years ago I'd say a high end mini can handle them very well.
If you conduct the update this mini PC, how do you recommend to do so @RetroGamingGuy? I.E. 1. Update Windows 11 2. Update Emulators. 3. etc... Congrats on the 100k subs! Finally, if it's Windows 11 do you have to activate it? Thanks for the through review!
I mean the catch here is this is more then just a hard drive, so for people with no pc it’s not bad. I agree if you have a pc then something like a kinhank 12 tb drive is prob around the same price with more offerings.
@@lazyshinobi2861 I bought the 12tb drive and a mini-PC from Amazon for like $100, so I spent about a total of $300 and I can play most things on the drive. The only console it seems to not be able to handle is PS3 and XB360 games will load but are very laggy. But there aren't all that many PS3 and XB360 games anyway.
I bought one after watching the review. Happy it came Batocera with v.40 installed. However, it can't play GameCube without sputtering and glitching. He's probably getting kickbacks for reviewing, so an honest review was likely not in the cards for his viewers. To say "no real performance issues" is an absolute farce and disingenuous at best. The audio stutters when simply browsing the game selection. Buy something else.
Update: tried a few more consoles. Wii- can't play it. PS2 - struggles. Gamecube- can't play it N64- struggles on some Yes, i messed with the settings for performance, video, audio, etc. Neo geo and Saturn, 50% of the games I tried, it restarts Batocera. Truly a terrible purchase for the price.
Unfortunately, that PC costs more money than its worth. It would be cheaper to buy a Ryzen 5 5560 mini PC and a 2TB retro gaming HDD from Amazon, and it will outperform this mini PC significantly.
It's a $120-150 mini PC with 2tb of storage, hopefully a name brand nvme drive for the asking price of $400! It's a horrible deal. At least find something with an N100 for a very similar price. Anyway, I stopped watching at about 10 seconds in because with a price tag that high for the very little amount of mini PC you get, it's just not worth watching the rest of the video.
Probably because the game files are so tiny, and this adds to the total game count number. Actually there are a couple of games in this collection that are still fun, like The original Battle zone and Bezerk. Of course there is the classic ET which is one of the greatest games of all time! JK.
Coulda sworn i mis-heard you on the price.. Holy damn $419 !! - i can piece together old hardware much more powerful for $140 or less. Although they put together a decent collection, This is not even close to worth it unless you want that small form factor.
I don't want 52,000 games...I want 5,200 great games. 😀
Im almost exactly there 😂
