To sum it up, hard wheels are better for doing tricks, power slides, but the downside is its going to be a ruff ride. Soft wheels can be used for sliding but it will be a lot harder but they will help you move around ruff areas. The higher the number the harder and the lower the softer
Ha, that is exactly what i do. Riding soft wheels to the skatepark and then switch with the hard wheel to do my session with tricks. I wonder why i never saw someone else doing so. Works great. :-)
I kind of want to do that, but it is too annoying to constantly change out wheels. Especially when my trucks get kind of beaten up, meaning sometimes it is pretty hard to get the wheels off to begin with.
@@PHeMoX I just take a cruiser board with big soft wheels me and cruise on that to get around while reserving my park board for the park itself. It's a lot better and skating on different boards keeps me from getting too reliant on one type of board. I suggest just picking up a cruiser or long board to get around, if you don't have one already.
Isn’t just simpler to become a master of powerslide on a soft wheels? People spending so much time to learn how to do one trick. Why not to spend exact same time to master soft wheels slides?…
@@ccs Thank you sincerely, and much love as well to everyone 🙂❤️ Would have been a different world without you all. Only connection to skateboarding many of us had that wasn't a rarely found magazine or a borrowed VHS.
i feel like its almost impossible to do a stationary trick on soft wheels because they don't want to stay still, they just wanna cruise. i had some 55mm 97a wheels and that was perfect in betweener
Im trying out my first pair of soft wheels and I can actually ollie easier to my surprise. It also a brand new board so there may be other factors at play. I mostly skate rougher terrain and not actual parks, so it may have to do with them being able to roll a lot more freely over the rough terrain. ollying is easier to me when its already rolling
Question: I'm 250lbs and use 78a wheels effortlessly, I'm concerned about softer wheels like 74a or 72a squishing into ovals when riding, is that an issue?
I tried for about 3 weeks to half cab a 3 stair with bones street wheels everytime i would land my board would stop, then i changed my wheels to softer wheels got it in 3 tries
Soft wheels are mainly for beginners (like me) so they can get used to skateboarding and then switch to hard wheel. Once you get the hang of it and start preforming tricks on a skateboard
Soft wheels are more for wood ramps because of the increased friction whereas if you use harder wheels on a wood ramp like a steep half-pipe you will slide around too much and the board will probably slide out from underneath you and cause you to fall depending on how steep the ramp and how fast you are going, etc. Hard wheels = Concrete Parks and Street Skating Soft Wheels = Wood Ramps or Cruising.
Hey guys I dont know what type of wheels to get I like to pump around bowls but hard wheels slip too much is there any specific wheels I should be using?
How i see on Instagram Posts ppl do tricks on Hard small wheels in the city somewhere, and their skateboard wheels move so quick and softly without creating much noise? I need that, where can i find skateboard wheels that are made for learning tricks but also not making much noise

@@PHeMoX It's much easier to switch trucks than wheels, so just bring spare trucks for your skateboard, that have cruiser wheels with them.

Dale Decker is greatest love seeing (hearing) you on the CCS channel!
Why do I recognize dale’s voice like I actually know him
Thats him , actually no one else has that voice (maybe)
yo wait wtf
I immediately thought it was him
Same I was like wait is this dales voice and I had to see another video just to make sure lol
YOOOO Same! Im like is that Dale’s voice?! 😂
As someone who's been given so much since your first catalog (yeah, I'm that old lol), just thank you 🤘
We love you and thank you!

Slimeballs 97a and mini logo 95a wheels are the best for both worlds in my opinion 💕
Just ordered a new deck from ccs and it was easy to find the right size so just a good experience
We love to hear that!!!
Fun Fact: there can’t be 30 different people that are “first”

I can't see why anyone would say or claim it.... especially a skater.....
I’ve always went 99 or 101a. I’m pretty lazy so I like sliding some of my 180 tricks. Plus power slides are nice
it's dale :D
I'm riding ricta clouds 92a for a good amount of time and for me they are the perfect hybrid.
Amazing wheels!
is it possible to powerslide with them?
@@c0ldm-ampupatcucatade4ori It is, especially in the streets.

Can you tell me what the wheels are?
skate hybrids, mini logo has some 90a 56mm that are really chill for both park and street
Hard wheels are just an impossibility where I live. The streets are a disgrace.
90-95 a seems to be a good balance but I haven’t tried all duros
Dale!
That intro was satisfying🥴🤤
I really like the heavy metle music in the background

No it’s not but 78 is already soft enough.
52 mm are too slow....but most riders today ride slower than I walk....25 years ago every facet of skating was twice as fast...
still getting skate knowledge since im still getting back to it, i think that’s why my formula fours stop me from popping my board sometimes.
Have you stuck with skating? How’s the formula fours holding up?
I tried for about 3 weeks to half cab a 3 stair with bones street wheels everytime i would land my board would stop, then i changed my wheels to softer wheels got it in 3 tries

I like softer wheel better. Even at a skatepark. Hard wheel scare me, lol. I always feel like I'm gonna slide out and fall with hard wheels.

I got an 9inch board would 9inch mob grip tape fit?
Try to go bigger, it's going to be be hard to make it look good
Maybe try and get a 10 inch sheet of grip so you have some room line it up properly!

How is it? It's been a year so do you feel soft ones are better?
@@stareintoabyss muuuuuuuch better, less vibrations and more grip
I love hard wheels for trick challanges

can i do an ollie on soft wheels?
Yes tho with soft wheels it’s way to hard to do it stationary so get a small push and then do it.
Can someone tell me how big soft wheels are please
preferably 60mm but thats mainly for cruising, theres a variety you can choose from tho
