we must be similar age i remember having an old fostex mr8 as a teenager and just being so into making my own tunes i was never one of those kids that was learning guns and roses or whatever. love this standing desk BTW ive been thinking about making my studio space more standing friendly cuz of posture and circulation but also just sometimes it's nice to jog around while mixing

(12:21)Marc clearly knows great gear, the D.W. Fearn VT-2 is the best mic pre on the market, now he needs the VT-5 and VT-7 for the best EQ and Compression.
Apparently he is exclusively using it as DI for the Moog??
@@wuliwong The D.W Fearn VT-3 is the D.I. I use for electronic gear, the VT3 and a VT2 makes the best processing on any type of instrument input.

Andrew!!!! Come to Brazil, meet the Forest Lab studio, please! 🙏🏾🙏🏾. Found her channel her in TH-cam. Search Lisciel Franco. He make own compresors and anythings to record totaly analogic jobs. (Sorry if any gramatic wrong I was make kkkk)
a rhode NT1 (or NT2 if ya have a bit more to work with) is still the best vocal mic for the price, hands down. If you're just starting and don't have much money but would like to start with something of quality that'll still be usable down the line.. that's the move.
If you're a hip hop guy check out Marco Polo's albums. Most, if not all- at least up to a few years ago were done on the NT1(vocally speaking obviously). He's a trained engineer- they're interviews where he breaks down why that's the best mic for the money in technical terms; if you're into the techy explanations
I think the desk is the “Stockholm” Mobile Desk from Temple & Webster, I also liked it and was searching around for something similar. 🤘🏻

He pretty much built all of the racks at Gnome Studios over by Fork's. Gnome is a cool setup and a cool location. I'd like to see you tour that place at some point. I've been there once and it was really cool.

It’s the grace audio m905, there is one remote cable that runs to it.
