Wow, David this is such a nice studio, especially considering your old room. One basic question from me. What guitar hooks do you use to mount your guitars on the wall and do you screw them into the wall, wood bracing or do you just use plasterboard wall plugs. It looks like you have wooden locks on the walls. I am just too worried about the holders falling off the wall and damaging my guitar. First thing is congratulations on becoming a father, as there is no greater gift than a child. Secondly congratulations on your new home and studio. The fact that you started small and worked with what you had not only shows creativity but it makes reaching your goal even more gratifying. Hey dude... Don't ever give up on anything. You can accomplish anything you want to with hard work and determination... Don't be down over other peoplea accomplishments, look at it as motivation.
I'm in a similar situation. Waited my whole life to make a "Dojo" if that makes sense. But it does take a while to figure out where you want to put stuff, until you start putting stuff where you want it, and where it makes sense. I digress. The whole point of looking you up was to thank ya for the "connected" video. Forgot what it was called. 5 steps to get better? Anyways - I've always just memorized patterns, and over time got the knack of knowing which square makes the sound I'm going for. So it's always been a "barely hanging on" kind of existence playing-wise. I started with "A" and went through every scale, every chord, and started linking note names and associated them with the patterns I knew. Holy cow! I'm learning Piano and Guitar, at the same time, on a whole other level. I'm not rushed to figure out where I'm going next, I just know. So thanks a lot for giving me a push in the right direction. I'll send a photo when I'm done with mine!
I'm an Argentinian boy, and my dream is escape of latinoamerica to a good country like Canadá, Germany or England, and have a pretty house with a beautiful studio like you.
oh, one more thing: with that isolation under the floor, you do still have some ventilation holes in the outside walls? You know man, I've started building a home studio bit by bit with money I've earned making music on fiverr and watching this video made me feel a bit demotivated as I'm literally just getting started. Your bit at the end though. That made me feel better so I'll keep going.
Hey dude... Don't ever give up on anything. You can accomplish anything you want to with hard work and determination... Don't be down over other peoplea accomplishments, look at it as motivation.
"I'm super amped about how it turned out"
*turns amp on*
Congrats Paul!
The space looks amazing and you worked hard for it. Thanks for taking us along on the ride.
I’m an English boy and my dream is to escape England to a Latin American country
We share the same dream...only difference: mine's not coming through in this life 😂
It is
oh, one more thing: with that isolation under the floor, you do still have some ventilation holes in the outside walls? Else this may end up becoming a wet and rotting blubber.. speaking from experience...

Great musician, great person and great communicator.
Have a very nice, peaceful new year with your family and your music and stay safe!
Cheers
Very happy for your studio, Paul!! A dream come true! Congratulations!!
"Doesn't like red"....
*Paints a massive red feature wall in his custom studio*
EXACTLY what I was thinking. I think he likes red a little more than he is willing to admit :-) Thats ok though.
I can only imagine how great the smoke sessions with this great dude are
As an Asian who lives in a very dense city, I feel like I have to be bill gates to get this studio in my country
Ryan. Use your bedroom or whatever space u can find bro. Headphones might help u. go for it.
I live in Amsterdam. This is also a luxury here in The Netherlands, even in Rotterdam where prices are not as crazy as in other cities. However, I can't think of someone who deserves it more that Paul.
I'd love to hear more details! Thanks. Great video
Congratulations, it's a dream studio for sure!!
How did you afford all this stuff? Is it TH-cam money or do you have a non-musical job outside TH-cam?
TH-cam money definitely. He has almost 2 million subscribers
He's sold a few thousand subscriptions to his online guitar tuition courses as well, at $200 a pop. He's got $400 just of my money for those!
I guess mainly courses, i too got both his courses
Quarantine would have been much easier in that room
It's bearable... But still annoying.
You’re like a guitar version of Casey Neistat
Ha ha! True! 😊
Except Paul isn't unbearable and has a normal nose.
Super pleased for you Paul. Having a dedicated space is a joy. More on what you use to make videos is welcome - incl editing software you use.................
I've been looking for a studio desk with a keyboard tray but couldn't find one I liked, until I saw the Output Platform in your new studio. Thanks for adding it to the description.
"wearing masks before it was cool" 😂
Hey Paul, been watching you from the start. Today I’m reminded of how happy I was for you when you were able to give up your teaching job and go full time. Now you have a fantastic new studio you have absolutely earned. Love your work, always look forward to your content and yes, it’d be great to have a video talking us through your guitar collection. All the best from the U.K. Mark 🙂🙏
Love listening to your voice almost as much as listening to your guitar playing.
Its a Fab Studio I used to have one back in the Day (Reel-Reel) in an old barn with everything I needed for my Home Studio and many times I would go in at night and would see the Sun Coming up I would get immersed in writing these days sadly its not as big but then I have everything on a Big Mac Computer how things have changed Always a pleasure to watch your videos .
You're living my dream!!!. guitarist, producer & family man.Totally inspired. A big fan from Africa.
It’s amazing !!
I’m just flabbergasted how anyone can ever spend money (implying that they made money) on anything other than “life”.
Not jealous exactly, just could never see myself in a position to afford a home, afford to hire a contractor (I just end up doing stuff by myself or with friends), afford more than my gig gear… it’s sad yet inspirational all at once.
There’s a whole world out there.
Congratulations 🎈🎊🍾🎉
Wait… you’ve got MILLIONS of subscribers, with only a few hundred videos?
WOW !!!!!!
(Or does TH-cam use M for Mil as in “a thousand” in Spanish?)
Flabbergasted I say !!!!!
happy for you!
Oh wow. A daddy. Just dropped mine off at school for second week. Congratulations.
Also, good luck. If you ever need any dad sharing get in touch. Such a special time.
I FULLY support your view on keeping your instrument out and ready for action. My guitar is hanging on my wall and instead of looking at my phone, I pick that baby up, and next thing I know an hour has gone by and I am stoked.
Blew me away man, nice job on your Dream Studio. Play on and Crank it up. Thanks for sharing the amazing footage of the remodel.
