@@joysynmonds9082 Well the truth is,what worked for you in your 20's doesn't work when your 40 years down the track🤭 Panstick, heavy stuff😬... used on Hollywood film sets!! I read Soffia Loren, would tape her eyes upwards and they'd use Panstick over the tape.
I like the fact I acturally see a woman who has wrinkles. I am in my 80's and feel down when a woman without wrinkles tells me I can look like her. You did transform your self and gave me chance to change using your tutorial. Thank you Sally
i found your 5 minute makeup application just amazing. You are beautiful without any make up but I have to say, these few steps you took, removed at least 10 years off your face. Thank you very much for sharing these tips with us. Cannot wait to try this tomorrow morning. God Bless you and keep you healthy and safe. I truly enjoyed this video better than any other make up videos I've ever seen. Linda, from Tesas.
A great easy punch is to use a mascara 'primer' that is white or clear. Then only one layer of black mascare is needed. It builds up the lashes without multiple layers of black. The lashes look "natural" in a fabulous way. I am 67 and cannot have lots of black around the eyes and lots of layers of mascara can look hard. The primer makes me look like I have 20 year old lashes, long and thick. HUGE difference overall.
Do you recommend a brand? I don't think I ever heard of mascara primer. I am nearsighted and wear glasses; they tone down my eye makeup considerably. I _need_ to lay on the mascara a bit more, actually.
@@annie68164 Lancome also has a white eyelash primer. As Lancome owns L'Oreal, I suspect they may be the same product but L'Oreal version is much cheaper.
Thank you so much for this! I'm afraid I'm really over videos giving make-up tutorials to women over 50 that run for about half an hour and use dozens of different products which usually end up creating a complicated, heavy looking make-up that most older women don't want for their every day look! So helpful, so refreshing.
Oh dear Madame, I am deeply moved by your dignity and spirit. I also will try to keep my beauty during all the silver and senior age. Thanks a lot and wish you a great new year 2022. :)
I love this genuine woman who shares these ideas with all women over 50 or 60 something. She is enthusiastic and I find her tricks and great hints to work beautifully! Thank you so much for the ideas!
Yes. Going back to work at 65+ digging out bronzer now. Haven't worn any makeup for 15 yrs so I'm in an absolute panic. Can't wear obvious makeup (or hair color, hair products, any scent on my hair, body or clothes, ad nauseum - grounds for dismissal) but must attempt to look young & energetic. Emergency tips for keeping makeup from settling in wrinkles without powder? Anyone? I have one week.
This was such an enjoyable video and I find the results you achieved in just 5 minutes absolutely incredible. You've made me more determined not to make any excuses for not putting my make up on - it doesn't have to take me 20 minutes. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Thank god!, FINALLY a tutorial that does what the title implies. I am so minimalist with makeup that most of the time I can’t be bothered wearing it. After watching other tutorials that put on layer after layer of product, I almost feel sick with the thought of having that much on my face. This is great - really appreciate what you have done here. WELL DONE!
Thanks for the video! Yes, I found it very helpful. I had given up on makeup a few years ago, and when Covid hit, I figured it was pointless to put it on and cover it with a mask, which would rub it off anyway. But now, I’m in my upper sixties and need a quick look so I’ll begin wearing makeup again.
I like the trick of using eyeshadow applied dry with a brush to act as eyeliner, rather than having the harsh line of a wet eyeliner or pencil. Eyeliner is something I'm trying hard to change from the heavy black kohl and pencil I used to wear. I changed to dark brown and recently bought a medium brown, but might try your method.
@@littlemom2070 I've only recently started using shadow as eyeliner, too soon to answer your question. Before that I've always just used it as shadow and found that different brands behave differently, some have more staying power. They don't smudge if you don't touch your eyes. Eyeliner pencil and kohl, however, smudge like crazy and have to be constantly repaired, just like renewing lipstick.
Same here. Black eyeliner is gorgeous..but these days it looks a bit too harsh on me. So I'm trying to soften by using a dark brown or dark charcoal pencil. I'll try an eyeshadow one of these days.. it's a great tip!
Thank you Sally! You've inspired me with this lovely quick everyday make-up look. So easy to follow. I am so tired of seeing over done made-up looks on woman of my age group, who are trying too hard, and using an entire make-up kit, taking 45 minutes to get out the door.
"I wouldn't leave the house without mascara." I felt that way in teens and twenties, then slouched. Maybe time again to try harder (mid-60s) and put more effort into a put together look. Thanks for the 5-minute, real-time demo! You look great!
I am going to try this tomorrow. My hubby and I are going to pick up groceries but we're not going anywhere else. I have to go into the store while he goes to the pick up area and I've tried so hard to pair down my makeup routine without success. Your video has been really helpful! I feel like I can do this now and still feel comfortable with my appearance.
Loved it because your coloring - skin and hair are very similar to mine, only I have brown eyes. This was helpful to me. I am also lazy about makeup and this made all the difference. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. It just shows how with minimal time and effort you can really look great. You did a great job because you look lovely. ❤️👏

Really nice. Don't bother with the eyeshadow. I don't wear foundation very often as I'm 65 but the cream foundation she has here has that lovely, subtle 'yellowy' colour I may try in future
Wow! You're gorgeous! I'm so pleased to see a 'real' woman! You instantly took 10-15+ yrs away! I'm 59 and I truly couldn't put an age to you other than much younger than I ♥️ but you're also evidence that beauty truly shines right through from within, thank you lovely lady 🙏👵🇦🇺 Adelaide
Looks great thats all I have been doing for years. I seem to spend more time picking a outfit and jewelry lately. I go casual but like to have scarf or jewelery accents, they also take peoples eye from focusing on just your face to other things. LOL
I also use my blush powder on my eyelids and brow bone. Have done it for years. It’s great if you’re in a hurry or just don’t want to bother using separate eyeshadow products. The rosy color looks natural and youthful but it’s important to choose a shade that mimics the color you’d get after a good workout or time in the sun.
Sincere & Natural, No drama or loudness, very watchable.
Thank you for being so down to earth and not being vain like many others. You look beautiful. It was easy to follow along with you x
Actually the best make-up tutorial for my age group that I've seen. Much appreciated!
Age is but a number!
Make up for 'older women ".
What the heck is that??
