      @odear6087 3 ปีที่แล้ว +191

      @@CG-mj8tk clickbait is essentially misrepresentation or exaggeration of something. it is usually in reference to a title, but on youtube it can also encompass the thumbnail as well.
      specifically here, it could've been expected that this woman's video claiming to having a technique for applying mascara that is better than false lashes is *false* due to her either misrepresenting information (meaning she lied about it perhaps) or she over-exaggerated her results (meaning she is showing it, but it isn't as good as what you hoped).
      the person commenting is noting that this wasn't actually clickbait because she was truthful in her representation, and this technique is actually successful

    • @mareekeay8670
      @mareekeay8670 3 ปีที่แล้ว +69

      @@CG-mj8tk click bait is when the content in the clip has nothing to do with the headline. Example would be if the headline was about making your lashes longer but once the clip started playing it was about something entirely different.. Hope this helps.. 💙

    For the ppl in the comments crying for not having long lashes like Smitha.
    I was a person w literally zero lashes, whereas my sister had fuller lashes as if she's using false lashes all day. Due to insecurities felt within my own home I started to look home remedies to increase the volume of lashes. I look for home remedies, bc I don't use much chemical products. I found that castor oil can help your lashes grow. So I brought a tiny bottle of castor oil and applied it overnight with an old mascara wand, and y'all won't believe the change. I literally have lashes like this. I'm no more insecure about lashes and I've never used false lashes after I started to use castor oil. You just have to apply for a month to see better results. It may cause itchiness in your eyes first, but you'll gradually cop up w that 🙌

    I found this in my feed and I'm glad it did! You are the ONLY person who addresses the curl holding power of a waterproof mascara! I've always wondered why no one else has ever talked about that. It's exactly why I always wear waterproof mascara. Another excellent tip you gave is to use primer, especially a black one. It not only thickens your lashes, but it will be easier to remove your waterproof mascara if the primer is used before mascara. Thanks for a great video! I hope everyone who watches it will use all your great tips!

    Perfect, the exact way I’ve been doing my lashes for ever. Yes it works just like that. It’s all in the technique. I do like Lash Paradise but my all-time fav is Lancôme Definicils in Black, waterproof. I will switch the the Blinc primer in Black though. My primer is white & seems counterintuitive to start with bright white lashes only to cover them with black.

      f You wanna try a fantastic lash trick to make your real lashes look amazing long and full. First curl lashes ( optional ) a fiber lash primer base coat thin coat take off excess from want first let dry then take your favorite mascara then while taking the wand out of mascara tube scrape wand against hole of tube to get the excess off very important then bring wand to root of lashes do not move wand from root what your gonna do is focus the majority of the product at the root do not pull wand through lashes instead blink while holding the wand at base of lash line blink like 5-6 times then pull wand through lashes to tip now take wand no dipping and use to coat the middle and tip of lashes now get a good metal lash comb and only the ends not the base pluff out the lashes your lashes will look like your not wearing mascara yet are full and long. hope this tip is easy finds you well.

    Thats a fantastic tip. I started doing this yrs ago and ppl would say "don't do that it will pull your lashes out". But if take proper care with the curler and use a lash serum at night, it won't happen. Anyway, your eyes look Beautiful Smitha!

    This definitely works best for women with naturally thick and long lashes. My lashes are thin and though they do grow long, they just don't have the same volume as yours.

    • @FLdancer00
      @FLdancer00 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Huh? Without mascara and curling you can barely see her lashes. They stick straight out and are short. They are not long & thick. This technique definitely transforms them.

    Another really good trick that I accidentally discovered is curling your lashes while damp, like after the shower. You may have to curl them a couple times but they have to be clean. Then apply a mascara and they'll be separated nicely.

      @heavennirvanaa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kimkimy6424 True, it has to be done carefully. I never heat up the curler or apply much pressure and I wait til they are mostly dry, just damp and go over with the curler and mascara

    Some more tips for curling your lashes AFTER applying macara:
    1. If you're using a lash curler, slightly wiggle the curler left and right (like you would with a mascara wand) as you unclamp it and remove it from your eyes. Pulling the curler straight off increases the chance of lashes getting caught and pulled out! :( Wiggling the curler slightly allows any stuck lashes to un-stick from the curler without getting pulled. :)
    2. If you're weary of using a lash curler after mascara since it can pull out lashes, use 2 wooden skewers instead! Put one skewer behind your lashes to protect your lashline and to serve as a "mold" for your lashes. The 2nd wooden skewer should be heated (I use a lighter but please be careful and be sure to check the temperature against the back of your hand before going up to your eye!) and used the lift the lashes and press them up against the 1st skewer. This both holds the curl (since it uses heat) and slightly melts the mascara, removing any clumps. :)

    Sorry I misspelled a couple of words in my previous post. I meant to say that another good trick is to use baking power (the kind you apply to seal or set your under eye concealer) and dust it lightly with a cotton ball over your lashes and then apply mascara. It will make your eyelashes look so much longer I swear! Also, Rimmel makes a great eyelash serum that will improve your eyelashes making them appear longer. Use it at night and the next day your eye makeup looks great.

    I don’t blow dry my lash curler and my lashes stay long and curled all day. I do have thick lashes so maybe that’s why, but thought it was worth sharing. Another thing, if you don’t have money to splurge on a primer, Vaseline works great! Use a q tip and use it to extend your lashes before applying your mascara!
    No woman should really ever have to get expensive falsies!

    Girl YES!!!!! I'm 36 and I have been using these EXACT steps ever since i was about 15. I actually got the idea about heating my lash curler from a cosmopolitan magazine. GAME CHANGER. I have always used waterproof because that's what my mom used so that's what she taught me with and all i ever knew. I have tried non waterproof and hated the smudging and how my lashes would fall almost immediately even if I followed all the other steps in this routine. I will say the one drawback is that as I've gotten older, I hate the pain in the ass that removing waterproof mascara can be. Now instead of only using waterproof, I use loreal voluminous non waterproof then after I curl the second time, I put one coat of a waterproof on the tips of my lashes and it seems to work well and isn't as hard to remove at all.

    Question though: does anyone else have issues with mascara residue under your bottom lashes? Using a primer DEFINITELY helps but for some reason, I still haven’t found a “works every time” solution for it. Thoughts anyone???
