This is a damn good kit, with 90% of everything you will ever need. Mine is similar, the result of 40 years trial and error. I have a butane stove that fits inside the pot and is much more powerful than alcohol, but I do also have an alcohol stove and a bottle of Heet from the gas station as backup. I also carry a large sierra cup; great for frying eggs and making something like a pancake. Problem: at altitude (I live just east of the Sierra Nevada range), food gets cold very quickly after cooking; the low heat alcohol stove helps with that. Plastic cups could help, but cannot be used to cook anything. As for utensils, I learned to eat with chopsticks, which I do not carry, but harvest from the local environment. Liquids are sipped from the pot Japanese style.
Great kit. Love the modularity of putting various Pathfinder gear together for a kit that suits your individual needs. (I have every piece of that setup purchased separately.)
It's a nice set. If it ain't raining we ain't training. A little rain mixed with some sleep I'm in Alabama and I'm thrilled to death when that summer goes away fall kicks in the leaves are falling the temperature drops down to where you can get outside and do something without burning up
Nice! I have all those jewels I use on the job to make my lunches every day and it keeps me from the fast food market. Love my SRO gear! Can't wait to get my 8” Cardon skillet.
Hi Dave, great idea and great gears like always. But, Dave, you have the Campfire Survival Cooking Kit or the Stainless Steel Bottle Cooking Kit. The beauty about these kits the cup stand stove is multi-Fuel. The stand can be put upside down. Inside, you could put the Evernew alcohol stove and its copies. The stand becomes a windscreen for the alcohol stove. The Trangia and its look alike I don't want to hear it anymore. They leak from the folds. The Chinese companies don't solder them. I loved the 3 in 1 spork. The canteen cup does it all why would want to bring another pot. Jolmo Lander carries an 800ml canteen cup if one needs a bigger cup. I find that the "Campfire Survival Cooking Kit" does it all. You don't need anything else. Again, great ideas and great gears for beginners. Just sharing my 2 cents. Thank you.
Going to be doing a lot of water sets this year. Greatly enjoying your new depression series. I plan on doing an extended line so this would be perfect. Cheers!
I have purchased a few of your one quart Bushpots and Ive taken a pliers to the ends of the bails and squeezed them to close the loops. Keeps from catching on everything on my storage bags.... i.e. closure strings, hems, threads, etc. I dont know why they dont come that way.
Great video dave love learning from you. Thanks for all you do for the outdoor community. I saw you had the canvas top l.L bean boots on. Is there a reason why you'd prefer those over others? I'm looking to get some and I don't want to waste my money.
For day trips I’m doing a similar kit with that bag, Trangia stove, Pathfinder canteen/stove/cup combo. The Trangia is a bit smaller but fits inside the stove stand a bit easier. I’ve got just enough room for a meal and coffee, extra help goes in the front pocket with a square of heavy aluminum foil for a windscreen. There are many ways to use this kit to your needs. By the way Dave, what’s that jacket you’re wearing?
Why is it impossible to email Self Reliance Outfitters with a question? I want to know when you're going to bring back the Scout pack. Plus, I question why my account shows no credits when just purchased a hammock/tarp set and I purchased other gear previously?
Very nice kit. Can the 8 oz. tin be substituted with a 16 oz. tin? 8 oz. of cocoa don't seem like enough to me. Lol Other than that it seems to be well thought out. Thanks.
Dear Mr. Canterbury, regarding your recent video on traps I have 1 old single spring trap, 3 old coil spring traps, and 2 110 Conniber traps. All leg traps like you showed. I have never trapped so I have never used them. The legs traps were used when I picked them up. I don't even remember where I got them now. If you are interested in them let me know and I will send you my Gmail or phone number. Or I can send them to SRO. I would like to trade them for merchandise from SRO if possible. I'm not looking for a lot and I don't know what they all are worth. Thank you for your time. James S.
Selfrelianceoutfitters.com. Thank you for your views and support!
My favorite kind of video from Dave, in the woods, showing a new kit, and a meal with the sounds of nature, that’s the life
Very Nice compact kit...good idea!
Nice little kit Dave 👍 good job
Looks like good quality stuff and well thought out 👍

Pathfinder Provisions are REALLY good. Southwest chicken and rice is the best. The biscuits and gravy are fantastic as well.
All of them are good.
Great looking cook kit! I'm all about minimal with lots of options. 👍✌️
You're right, I love putting kits together. I have one of the M34 Scout Canteens and love it. Still need that 1 qt bushpot. Another home run Dave.
I’ve seen that bag and have my eye on it but a full 🤩 kit ya buddy ! 😎🇺🇸🤙🏼
Another great video 👍 Dave
Dave, you do make some incredibly useful, robust, multi-functional, and highly desirable kit.
Great kit. Love the modularity of putting various Pathfinder gear together for a kit that suits your individual needs. (I have every piece of that setup purchased separately.)
Nice kit at a good price.
Awesome seeing this gear used out in the bush. Nice kit and video, cheers

Great video Dave, nice little trip. Looking forward to some of your new projects to come to Australia to add to my son and my set up❤
CHEERS DAVE! Enjoying the depression era videos. Just bought some conibear stands.
Great to see you out in the snow this morning Dave. I am in the stand one county North of you and it is coming down right at the moment
Good Afternoon Dave 👍🏻
I just ordered my kit! Can’t wait to get it and try it out.
Nice kit! keep up the great work you do!
Certainly soup weather. Right on Big Dawg Dave!
I pulled the trigger on the PFM34 Scout Canteen, just keep smoothing Dave.

Been watching all your old videos with duel survival. You really made that show and I'm so happy you've had continued success ❤️🇺🇸💪
Looks like a pretty cool kit!
Great looking kit. Hope it's available in Canada through the Amazon store.
Thanks Dave for another cool product
Nice kit. Be an excellent option in my bushcraft packs.

Now we can devide and conquer the whole thing.
Love these videos.
Nice kit.
Ty Dave, great kit
Pulling that canteen cup out looked like magic, almost like it went round then oval as you moved it.
I like that 32 oz water jug cup lid stove kit. Water is important to me. That's just my preference I suppose
Pretty compact and handy😊

I'm thinking your wife never asks you to do the dishes. 😅
😂
Nice kit !!! 👌

Dave is the king
Nice kit dave
Enjoyable. Thanks
You can't beat Bean boots
This is great. What I'd like to see next is a team up with Refuge Medical. PATHFINDER x Refuge Medical "woodsman IFAK" Or along those lines.
I love my Pathfinder's Stainless Steel Bottle and Cook Set but I was wondering if you guys ever considered doing titanium?
Love you brother
Got the flask for Christmas last year, I LOVE that thing! It's so cool! Weighs a ton but whatever. I'm no weight-weenie ultra lighter so it's good.
The grayl geo press, geo press 30oz cup, 25oz cup and 48oz cup all nest together. FYI
Nice kits. Gives me an idea for my canteen kit. I have an item in my pocket you need for that kit. Do you take recommendations for new products?
Is that a will jacket. I like wool all around.
How's that boy scouts kit coming along? Love my PFM40
Going I different direction. Think yall will love it
Nice kit!
I'm new to alcohol stoves. Do they only use denatured alcohol, or can isopropyl alcohol be used also?
Just one problem Dave that m34 is only just big enough for my rum ration?
Awesome kit. I have all the components of that kit. Just not in the same bag. There in other kits. I may get me a early Christmas present

Where are the foldingncooking utensils?
December
I'm interested in seeing this master fire kit
What boots are those?
Beans
I think that’s a good deal for $115
Man, if David actually made two pans for the m34 officer's canteen to make it like the Preston Mess Kit that sucker would be THE ultimate kit.

Send me an email to Pathfindersurvival@gmail and I will get you to the right folks
No 5min shelter. Lol
Don’t see a need really?
Very nice kit. Can the 8 oz. tin be substituted with a 16 oz. tin? 8 oz. of cocoa don't seem like enough to me. Lol Other than that it seems to be well thought out. Thanks.
Wish the pouch came in Ranger green…I have the black and earth brown.

11:46 Gee, I hope Dave will be ok out there in the woods by himself…
