Do you have a motorcycle diagnostic tool that you use?
Very important to download/check mark by "bulk data" ad by all bikes manufactures and also the OBD box then search for specific model under your manufacturer. Mine list all models. The most current year model still only shows to 2017.... Example "2017 BMW R1250 water cooled" that did not come out until 2019 model year. Still not what I would expect for a device that cost me $450.00
Great video that addresses my exact problem. I bought the OBDPROG 100 early 2022: Didn't reset my BMW 1200RT service lamp either. I contacted them and was told an update would come out. Never did, now my year is up and I would have to pay $80 just to see if an update is available.

Right on man. I got one of these to review as well. I started really optimistic because of all the positive reviews from TH-camrs that I saw... And like you said, you don't really see anyone using it to do the things they say it can do. I tried it on three different bikes but it couldn't do a lot of what other tools can. Couldn't reset light on my BMW either.
Kind of 💩 of them to ask for it back 🤣
My bikes are older (2014, 2011, 2009) and wasn't happy with it on any of the three

Thanks for the honest review, you said it like it is and I was considering the unit but now it’s a no purchase for me. You probably saved a lot of people some headaches. It’s also a good thing they want there unit back cause you the truth hurts . Also I didn’t a plug for Triumph 🤣😂😢😅👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for the review, bummer, but makes sense. After my 2022 MSV4S Sport had entire wiring harness replaced, been looking for tie in. But given lane keep, ACC, DWC, DTC, electronic adj susp, etc, etc, I’m sure Duc will never let us tie in & manipulate these

I ordered and received the Ancel MT700 for BF '23 for my '22 Ducati MTS V4 PP. After performing the s/w updates, the +MY2021 Multistrada V4 did not appear on the applicable model list under Ducati, so I ended up returning it to Amazon.
I am also looking for a scanner, for my MV,s and Ducati. I think the problem with Chinese diagnostics is they only read Magnetic Marelli on Ducatis which is up to 2017 I believe. US and Europe needs to bring in law like American did years ago where all vehicles had to be OBD2 compliant. Late 80s and some of 90s were a nightmare every brand had one or two different connectors. Bikes are similar today with the exception of Motorrad that are now OBD2 on all current bikes.
Have a similar product that I brought with proper connectors. The first one wouldn't connect, (on a 2017 Yamaha SuperTenere, ) so sent back, second one connected but couldn't do anything with it! Works fine on my Ford ute. Did have a Ducati 1100 Scrambler that I got serviced at the motorbike mechanics shop, not a Ducati dealer, he could reset fault code's but not the service light, that had to be done by Ducati on there multi thousand dollar machine! 😢 Seriously do we even need reminding when to service our bike's and if we do make it easy to reset! 😠

All of these (obdprog iscan ancel duonix etc) lag a few years for support of new models because most owners go to their dealer while bike's on warranty. Even Texa systems, the 4k$ one your ducati dealer is using for your ppv4, won't let you connect to it this year if you're not a ducati dealer. You'll have to wait and pay for update next year (or maybe even just the year after) to get support for your pp. It's 599$ for 12 months of Texa updates,

I heard guys using Jpdiag on recent year ducatis for resetting oil lights. I have a 2022 Panigale V2. I google them, followed the instructions, had all the wires including one OEM from Ducati Italy and others. The software didn’t read a thing while other 2022 or even 2023 model year Panigale did the reset successfully. Could someone please please let me know anything about get rid of that service light. PLEASE.
@@evanlugin You may have some luck with melcodiag but I doubt it for a 2020+. You won't go anywhere with jpdiag which is made for older magnetti marelli ecus. Both softwares are made by the same guy. The USB to obd adapter needed is not the same. Jpdiag need a Kline and melco need elm327.

Did not play well with my 2018 BMW R1200 GS Adventure either. Only went to 2016 to 2017 mid year and 2015 and before. UPDATE.... after watching a few other videos, I played around with my unit and I learned a bit more on how to use on my 2018 BMW R1200 GSA. Was able to reset the "service reminder" on my 2018 BMW GS1200.

hey you finally got it!!!!hold it right there cowboy!! 🤣🤣my works perfect and resets the service light in my panigale v4s and all error codes, for your MTS you have to use the software for the MTS 1260 that what they told I haven't try it yet also how did you try to reset Ian's bike?? I brought to my house a expert mechanic and they know how to do everything with that toy, BTW it was referred to me by one of them 🤷♂️🤷♂️
There was not even an option to reset Ian's bike on the screen. We tried it about a half a dozen times. What year is your Panigale? I think it needs updates for newer models.

@@ricardoanez6436 Sounds good but it should not be tricky. It should be intuitive. If someone has a 2021 bike, they should not have to try several other bike types that are not theirs just to see if it works. They told me it won't work on my Ducati PP.
@@RemboUSMC I haven't try on my MTS yet bc haven't got there yet, also they are very new bikes, the manufacturer told me when I purchased the MTS connector to use the 1260 model software, when you connect the device to a bike and past the ignition key the device recognize the bike and display the VIN # then you have to confirm it and proceed, to delete the service light don't go where says is a little tricky but I learned after playing with it for a few minutes and my tech friend guided me through
@@ricardoanez6436 There was not even an option for the service light after the vin was confirmed on the 2021 KTM 690 SMCR. Again, it should be intuitive and work as advertised. Not a good product right now.

A friend of mine is a mechanic and he has one of these diagnostic tools...but it cost almost $4k and it requires regular SW updates so he pay additional $500/year.... as such I do not think you can spend $500 and have a universal diagnostic tool.

Absolutely. But if the Chinese toy can do 80% of the functions of a 5k system, for 10% of the price... Not a bad deal imo.
We’ll all I can say is I love the scanner it does absolutely everything in my MTS 1200S 2017 so still thinh is a kick ass scanner compared to what is available although I bought the 2022 EU latest version, don’t really know how is gonna perform on the Duc V4
Can I enable my Ducati Bluetooth device on my Monster 1200S 2018 with this device?
Will this pull KTM specific codes that the dealer tool can pick up? I'm noticing most of the scan tools available to the public will not allow you to get the same DTC's. Pretty frustrating.

We tried scanning the XMax 300 Yamaha Scooter (2020) with the OBDPROG 100 Motor Scanner but was unsuccessful. We had a communication error code on the scanner. Can anyone confirm that this scanner can work on the XMax 300 Yamaha Scooter?
Great question. I think it is more limited than it says it is for right now.
Saw on other vids you sometimes do your own service. Do you know how to reset dash service mileage intervals? Got my 10K on MS V4S Sport early, notices saying I need service soon
