Love the Evo X. In terms of Evos, it was the one I decided to get. The true pinnacle of Mitsubishi's AWD and handling technology. The 4B11, while looked down upon, was forward progress in terms of engines in the Evo series. My favorite Evo by far.
The 4b11 doesn’t have the same heritage as the 4g63. That’s why many don’t like it. It’s been proving itself over the years though 👍🏼

I had an Evo 8, its durable engine BUT like any other engine. it'll have an issue here and there especially if its modified. Drove an Evo X, its faster, can get along speed wise with modern cars with little to no mods. Lots of cars copied Evo Xs design for their future cars lol
The 4B11 platform is reaching Higher power goals more and more. Mitsubishi really said we gotta up the beast of the 4G63

Always wanted an Evo 8 or 9 more than the X but after not being able to own an 8 because of my bank. I decided to look at the X and then decided to buy an x the day I went to go test drive. Have to say I love my Evo and couldn’t be more happier with my car and can’t wait to push more power in the future

@Pugz 03 04 are mid 20s. 05 is mid to high 20s. 06 evo 9 are 30 to 40.

the evo x engines were engineered to take a beatin...making 560whp on my evo x stock block just fbo e85...also forgot to mention it has 224k miles original engine tuned it at 190kmiles

@@claudedottin1312if you already have your car down just do the bottom end. 180k is still a bunch of rotations on those bearings and etc

Yup! If you have the engine already out, its easier to work on and you might as well go all out. FYI, keep another engine on hand that YOU are working/learning on. Great way to learn things and if you need a new engine. BAM
i miss my cz4 mine was a flex fuel by john at 5150 stock turbo, right at 390hp i spend 3x's as much on suspension. anyways sick whip bro.

i have a 2015 evo and it has recaros and slotted brake rotors though... unless it came with some package or.. im so confused now
The previous owner did all that, all 2015 evos including the final editions never got recaros due to recalls

@@MiguelDsm I know but I bought them for $700 to put into my E30 but ended up being too tall, so they just sat. Posted up them up and they sat posted for a while too haha Guy with a Evo 8 ended up buying it to put into that car.

I have the same evo in silver. Only one owner with 73k miles. I believe im only making like 400 minimum. Noticed that it has a stock turbo so it has cery slow acceleration compared to its power. Im not sure what to do with it mod wise. Im also toying around with the idea of selling it to buy an R34 next year when theyre legal.
A stock turbo evo x will probably max out at 400 95% of the time
