More than if you struggle. I have always been a good chipper but an even better putter. I was fascinated by the idea. I've had the Chipr in my bag for the last two golf seasons changing from four wedged to three substituting out the lob wedge. If found I get up and down far more often. Superb club.
I tried the Ping chipper of a friend mine and I compared it with the Wilson chipper that I own.Believe me the performances are the same or may be slightly better with the Wilson chipper.I must say that though there is a difference. You pay £ 160 for the Ping compared £ 40 for the Wilson
the wilson looks like a hackers club, the ping looks like a normal iron, a lot of people dont like the stigma of using a chipper club, the ping chipr unlike all the others is discrete, that is why its worth more. none of the others do that.
I will Probably purchase a chipper this winter. Even golfers that shoot in the 80s miss most greens. Seems like a chipper should be in the bag. I use the 9 iron with the method u show. However chippers r easier to use and less prone to thin
