I remember one of your mantras - grip tight and aim right!

Brilliant video mate 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
This video makes me chuckle❤😂
You’ll be either impressed or horrified that I use the same clubs and they have the same grips as when you taught me back in 1996 😂.
That was quick
Great video. Just purchased a 7 wood 😎
Great video as always miles hope the boxing goes well at the weekend
Excellent Miles
My M2 5HL has a 21° loft, so technically it’s a 7 wood. I love that wood.
This was one of those Ah Ha! Videos for me Miles. I’m reassessing my bag. Everything is coming out and the 7W and mallet putter are the first two clubs to go back in. Every other club will need to earn its place.
Crappy greens!
Well done miles great video as always see you soon
I think that second chip for eagle would have gone in if the flag had been out.
Hey Miles I just wanted to say that I enjoy these one club challenges that you do (bought a 7 Wood because of your video). I know you're not asking for video ideas, but if you still have that Ping ChipR (or any other chipper) hanging around the shop, that would make for an interesting one club challenge vid. Anyway thanks again for the weekly content!
Nice one Miles
That's why I'm selling Mars Bars in the shop - made me laugh!
😂😂😂 brilliant
Good going miles course looking in good nick
What 7 wood are you using please ?
Hi it’s a stealth 2
Can't believe you didn't wear clothes to match the club 😂
How about the difference using a senior flex for us older folks?
Nice video! But please get a camera!
GREAT VIDEO Miles! Showed many ways that I'm going to try with my Taylor Made 7 W. Especially around the green. Have been mostly using it @ the Tee box. Thanks!
It’s not a cheat. It’s a conscious decision to take some other less useful club out and replacing it with a 7 wood which is a great club for many situations.
Warning guys ! - I have had a nightmare trying to get proper " waterproof " golf shoes offenders include " Footjoy " so do your research !😮
I just bought a 7 wood. Thank you for your video. I really enjoyed watching you. You seemed to be having fun. I'm going to try and use just a 7 wood and a putter next time I'm out. Looking forward to it.
Thank you have fun out there
This was wonderful to watch. I love it's simplicity and straight forwardness. Thank you for demonstrating the versatility of the 7w. I am in the process of rebuilding the top end of my bag. My new driver (AI Smoke Max) is providing confidence and distance. I traded my 3w for a 3HL (as my "mini driver") and now looking to add the 7w. Can you share how your club is built?
Good stuff Miles. Always down to earth. Here's some stuff from me! Lol. If someone could make the short game "cool" that would be awesome as it's the most productive practice you will ever get. How often do you see golfers obsess with the driver, going into the range to slug the big stick all their session? Anyone serious about getting scores down should make the short game a hobby of itself; enjoying putting and make an art out of all the shots under 100 yards. Such fun too? These days I almost never hit a full short iron, favouring the knock down or punch with a half swing. Direction control is so much better, the swing is more reliable, and not much can go wrong if the terrain is reasonably predictable. If I have 100 yards it an 8 iron knocked down, 60 yards a PW. Only when a high trajectory is needed do I hit it high ... or hard. Young golfers never seem to have these shots, always blasting away just to bragg about how far they hit a number at a hole?? As for putting, I believe it's an art form and not a science, with only one pre-requisite; that you make a positive strike on the ball. That may be with all sorts of nuances. If there's a break we guess it, so why not guess it by using an open or closed clubface instead of line and swinging more at the hole, something we tend to subconsciously do anyway? It makes a huge different when you remove the subconscious desire to steer the putt! Works well for me, especially on short breakers, as does experimenting with hitting off the toe or towards the heel .... something Jackie Burke advocated. The moment people get all this "science" putting stuff in their mind it's cluttered with distractions. Would you use "science" to toss a paper ball into a waste basket? Same with the nature of the stroke. Everyone seems to copy the pro's with their putting style and putter selection but they generally putt on greens that resemble more those greens of the old days. Pro's have perfect surfaces and high stimp. We don't! Just my random thoughts ... :)
Hey Miles, I look forward to these videos every week, and they’re always an insta-watch when they’re posted. Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to make them.
I appreciate that! Thanks

Great tips 🎉
Cheers miles just bought myself a new pair of golf shoes see you Thursday
Nice video, but videos without shot tracer like a day without sunshine
Really enjoyed this.. so much fun to watch. Loved the enthusiasm and showed me what is possible with my new 7 fairway wood. Thank you.
Thankyou very much
I was a decent player who wanted to get better, so I started watching lots of TH-cam videos from mainly renowned teachers. I began to get worse-much worse-and it became a real battle to play. I was a 4 to 5 handicapper and was reasonably accurate and long enough to play well. I had my own swing, which was unique but had worked for over 30 years. So, I agree with what you're saying; it can lead to disaster.
Miles, that is ridiculous! A 60 degree wedge when I always take my driver. I’ll never be any good at this game.☹️
Then rolling it in from off the green with the wedge 😅 I could probably manage the club throw at the end but normally out of frustration 😂
I can’t wait for you to come up a bit more and possibly get a bit better equipment because as I low handicap golfer I love watching someone knowledgeable about the dynamics of the game… you, my friend, I could listen to talk for hours about golf
@@andrewmontgomery45 very kind 👍
Really enjoyed this video, makes good sense, you have gained a new subscriber.👍👍🥊🥊
No music, no stupid animated graphics, just an informative video which actually helps you. Really good.
🐣🐣🐣
I had this revelation the other day. So many different takes on the swing it gets confusing. I do watch several people on how to approach the game from a mental standpoint but mechanically it’s too convoluted.
Yes Miles! I started last year at the age of 66 and love to play with friends, but frustrated with shots that spoil the enjoyment. I have thought about using a tee on the fairway but thought it was against the rules?
If it's not a competition or handicap round, do whatever makes it an enjoyable round. And if you want to get better, go see Miles for a few lessons!
Great ideas for beginners. Similar to your single digit suggestion when I first started the experienced friends I played with made me use what they called the “Double Par Rule,” no score on any hole more than par x 2. They didn’t push me to get a handicap and simply encouraged me to try to come in under the “double par” score the first year I played. I fell in love with the game, enjoyed my time with friends and did improve to breaking 90 by the end of summer.
I absolutely loved this video and I fully agree with the approach. I started playing at 58 years old, a couple of months ago. I've only done our local par 3 course for now. Trying to learn how to hit my irons on the range, I am learning how to chip, and putt. Have not hit a driver yet. Just enjoying and learning, and not fretting about the inevitable mishits. Bunkers, long drives, 18 holes, that will come, in time.
Great advice
Great video.
