I've been dealing with stress for years. All throughout highschool I would spend hours at a time doing my very best to memorize everything. I had it different then most kids, would have less free time because of my study habits, and this has also hurt me as a content creator. This semester, as a Sophomore in colllege, my anxiety and stress levels were so high that I had to do the rest of my semester online. Things are improving on my end. Thank you for helping me find a way to reduce so much stress while I am studying! My college life will hopefully start to get easier, and I can actually have some free time for once. Perhaps I will score better on my exams too, which are usually worth 75% worth of my class grade in my major classes.
I always knew that the reason I didn't score the highest during my exams was because of my stress levels and your video is like a wake up call for me to start setting lower goals so I can achieve better grades

This video is extremely true. I usually study properly and focus on my work instead of studying for hours Studying for hours does not always mean that u study more better. Instead you can do the work that u were supposed to do in an hour or 30 mins or just less, dont push urself to do more qnd more. Time is a very precious thing that u should take care of. And by studying inefficiently and losing focus rhat study session is worth nothing.
THIS IS SO GOOD, THANK YOU. I realized I probably shouldn't pressure myself too much into getting 95 and above only because I would be stressed before and after exams 😭.
I am actually amazed how my younger self would have said "You are figuring this now" and my present self is thanking you for reminding me my old ways. The day I concentrated more on studying more, I started losing more, leading to my current self. Also, studying more leads to procrastination
Me personally I agree with what you said. Stress really got to me during my math exams. I studied for 5 hours every day but it wasn't as consistent and I was seen procrastinating most of the time. I time gated my work but seemed to be stressed about completing that work within the timeframe that I couldn't focus on the work. In the end I managed to complete everything before the exam but I was still nervous and stressed. I was reminding myself all the hard work and time I spent studying and that I needed to do good but in the end I made silly mistakes, I forgot the most basic things in my maths and I couldn't solve a math problem. When I came home I wasn't as distraught but I kept thinking about that problem and managed to solve it in my head. Well mistakes pave the way for success, now I can better prepare and prepare properly next time for my exams.
I feel so happy since I could identify myself in your situation when you were talking about how hard you had studied for maths yet the stress made you do worse, which I had realized myself before watching the video this year. My grades have gone way further after I had started studying efficiently and focusing on simply studying without caring how long I did or not study. My goals are usually to know about 90% of the content listed for my exams, so once I start studying I don't focus on the time but that I do need to have atleast that percentage in mind. I've also started making lists of which subjects I felt slower in, so I would do like about 30 min of exercises for those, which were really good as boosts for extra knowledge too :)
Im glad I found this video because I heavily relate to this and I it's exactly what i needed to hear! (There is my personal experience it a bit long tho) I screwed myself over when starting high school by setting an unrealistic goal of becoming valedictorian, which led to me getting burned-out within 3 months. While I did get A's at first, I didn’t account for my schedule, life outside school, or my own laziness. My grades ended up dropping to an F average, and I felt like giving up. Thankfully, my family encouraged me to keep going and at least graduate. I changed my study habits, set realistic goals, and started improving. This new mindset has helped me, and I plan to stick with it throughout high school and my life in general. (Tl;dr : Burned out after aiming too high in high school, I adjusted my goals, improved my study habits, and found a mindset that keeps me motivated.)
as someone that hates math, and never studied for math once while getting an A, (41/50) watching this video actually made me realize how shocking it is the fact that I didn't study. But when I look back through it if it was possible, I did study all along, I just didn't realize it. It's the fact that I had a math tuition for 30 minutes a week, that was how I achieved getting something I never thought I would. (Getting A) It's the fact that it slowly came into my brain without me noticing. So, if your reading this, understand this : TUITION > STUDYING BY YOUR OWN. (edit : this video is actually very helpful too, ty!!)
Good editing Good point Easy to understand Facts… This is one of the best video throughout useless videos, memes and even the teachers’ channel themselves… Truly a masterpiece
Tbf, it doesn’t really matter how much time you study for, it just depends on how much concentration u put on that special task in order to focus properly and write the exam.
I recently found out exactly what ur explaining here and am quite happy someone actually is putting in the work to explain to a wide range of people unlike myself
I study 13 hours a day during exams and that made me so exhausted that I couldn't write properly and made silly mistake even when I know I was good at that subject I couldn't score more then 82% . This helped me so much
Thank you bro, I'm 12 and I've been coming 1st place in my class for four years, even though people in my class studied a lot while I barely did anything. This video helped me understand the science behind my success.
HOLY MOLLY! I got this video recommended for me and everything you said perfectly describes how i study and my anxiety and stress! I feel like it is a chance from heaven and God!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I agree so much and thank you for this video! it's basically what I found out through experience too Procrastination is not something I'm proud of, but I've realised that by having the urgency to need to sleep at 11pm, I will finish a whole essay in 45 minutes as opposed to 2-3 hours if I were to sit myself down at a random afternoon a few days ago, and I would write a better quality essay too! Though as a person who believes in setting high expectations for yourself (for continuous improvement) I would aim high in the revision period or like 2 weeks before the exam (for the motivation and self belief), and forget about it when the actual day comes xD (so that you're not super stressed as your video said)
The important thing about studying about my experience that if you give more concentration to the study then you will automatically learn that chapter❤
4:20 My own tips on how to improve tolerance to stress - Prayer (Salah) - Consistently timed sleep, & no blue light or intense activity right before bed - Long exhales compared to inhales; breathing which is nasal & diaphragmatic - Facial massages - Engagement w loved ones - Lemon balm tea - Beef gelatin drink - Chamomile tea
This was really true and it will worked very well, and also i had a pro tip to those want to study as efficient and as much as possible, without having too much information trying to remember. "Try to study only the main parts of a lesson rather than the entirety of it" Like: + Keywords + Formulas (including how they work) + Critical words that are connected to the keyword (Ex: 'Restore' - to "retain" information) (The critical word here is "retain") I use this a lot of times because i easily forgot things ,so that's why i find a way to store as little information, while the important details can be able to retain in my mind at the same time. I hope you understand and works for you, goodluck!!! 💙✨
I also noticed that, in my AP (its like history but for Philippines) and my Math. I was making a goal to have a perfect score in my Math exam, I got 8 mistakes. But as for AP which I studied for like less than an hour, I got 6 mistakes. It doesn't look like much but I despise AP, and I love Math. So I was so stressed out about the perfect... So this technique might actually work! Thanks man!
The „dont be stressed“ is a thing i dont have problems with for a long time. I always know that i understood the topic and im like „what should go wrong? i understood it, i have nothing to worry about“. I also dont think often about the exam on the day when we write it, not more than 1 or w times. when we write it, i just sit down like it would be a normal lesson without an exam. Not being stressed or worried before the exam is probably the most important thing of all.
agree, don't be nervous on the test, a few months ago when I changed math teacher, I think it was kinda challenging because she gave many questions on the test and time was very limited, I got so nervous on the test, and I stuck on the first question because I forget the formula. I make myself calm down and everything becomes easy, algebra 2 wasn't a hard class and I ace the test ever since.
At our school, we never get to enjoy life. The questions in our exams are so random that they’re mostly application-based problems. This forces us to study every detail in our notes and look for potential loopholes in the topics that might catch us off guard during the exams. Our exams consist of 100+ items, and we only have 45 minutes to answer them. Getting an A here is nearly impossible. To make things even harder, my classroom is full of academic wizards and math Olympiads some of them have an IQ ranging from 150-170, so I struggle to keep up with them. I hope this video helps improve my performance in the finals. Brilliant video!
Another good tip (from my experience) is to be confident The brain is like an obedient dog, if you are sure with a certainty you can learn a concept or lesson it will do it, i remember i always felt i was going to fail depending on how well i studied, and my expectations of my studying abilites were low at the time so guess what? it actually happened. Low marks low grades. So when the next exams hit my goal was just to improve, any grade above it was a good goal and i had confidence i was gonna remember the lessons this time because i had a small stock knowledge on it, and surprisingly had high scores There's many ways to study find your own but always be confident
Bro should make asmr channel😭 voice was so soothing i almost fell asleep, but the content is very good ngl. I agree not stressing, i didnt stress during my math exam at all and i was able to do good and thingwas i wasnt caring for marks. Stress management is very important.
Yes, an absolute flaw about people studying is always about the time efficiency. I really don't get why students/my classmates whatever, they try too hard on studying which is VERY TAXING for the brain and such a waste of time. Whereas being efficient in studying is just different. Thank you for making this video and i hope this will reach to many students.
Great video bro. Also everyone, don't compete with others, it gets toxic. You'll get bitter. Compete with yourself, you'll get better. Also if you wanna compete just keep it healthy.
This philosophy goes for everything in life. Whether exercising or making money, less is sometimes more, given if a respectable amount is effort is being put into the allocated time.

When i see the title, i suddenly remembered something one of my highschool teacher taught me about exams. For Multiple choice questions, after reading the question and choose the answer you think is correct, don't change it when you are checking if you missed a question, you are more likely to change it to a wrong answer. Sometimes, instinct is more powerful than you might think.

You're underrated, thank God your video got recommended to me.
I've also started making lists of which subjects I felt slower in, so I would do like about 30 min of exercises for those, which were really good as boosts for extra knowledge too :)
i sense fast growth from this video
Im glad I found this video because I heavily relate to this and I it's exactly what i needed to hear! (There is my personal experience it a bit long tho)
I screwed myself over when starting high school by setting an unrealistic goal of becoming valedictorian, which led to me getting burned-out within 3 months.
It also works in a presentation. When I was stressed, I didn’t do well, but when I just went up there and presented my work, I did well.
The fact i did this all the time without knowing at all while relying on it, Thanks!
this is so true! btw losing by 0.03% must've been frustrating, congrats on the science award tho!!
Good editing
Good point
Easy to understand
Facts…
This is one of the best video throughout useless videos, memes and even the teachers’ channel themselves… Truly a masterpiece
I always study very less but with full heart and I get high grades.
And seeing this makes me more confident in my way of study 😁
Tbf, it doesn’t really matter how much time you study for, it just depends on how much concentration u put on that special task in order to focus properly and write the exam.
YOU DESERVE MORE SUBS WTF?? UNDERRATED
I recently found out exactly what ur explaining here and am quite happy someone actually is putting in the work to explain to a wide range of people unlike myself
Me watching 2 days before exam as a 10 minute break
Before 1 day on 5 munite brake
@@iatiakahmedzisansame 😭
ah reminds me of my miserable days
3 hours before exam
About 1 day after the exam.
Never thought about it like that, but it's actually very true when I think about when I've done well and done bad in an exam.
I study 13 hours a day during exams and that made me so exhausted that I couldn't write properly and made silly mistake even when I know I was good at that subject I couldn't score more then 82% . This helped me so much
I feel you, hope this helps
Study 13 hours. I study for 14 hours a day
@@rlmprvmnt this really did helped me. My exam are starting in 2 days I hope I can fo better this time 🙏🏻
@tapashshaha4077 Ain’t a game bud, wasting your time aint a flex🤷♂️
Thank you bro, I'm 12 and I've been coming 1st place in my class for four years, even though people in my class studied a lot while I barely did anything. This video helped me understand the science behind my success.
i can see your channel growing really fast and that 0.003% is too much bro i would have cried soo hard if i lost by that
Tell me about it, hopefully we can keep it up🤞

HOLY MOLLY! I got this video recommended for me and everything you said perfectly describes how i study and my anxiety and stress! I feel like it is a chance from heaven and God!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
You are so right about the time part. I am gonna follow your advice now.
I agree so much and thank you for this video!
it's basically what I found out through experience too
Procrastination is not something I'm proud of, but I've realised that by having the urgency to need to sleep at 11pm, I will finish a whole essay in 45 minutes as opposed to 2-3 hours if I were to sit myself down at a random afternoon a few days ago, and I would write a better quality essay too!
Though as a person who believes in setting high expectations for yourself (for continuous improvement)
I would aim high in the revision period or like 2 weeks before the exam (for the motivation and self belief), and forget about it when the actual day comes xD (so that you're not super stressed as your video said)
How good is your voice, so calm and soothing to hear
Loved it 👌🏽
this is something i discovered earlier this year when I had some big exams and this video couldn't come at a better time!!
thanks bruh- my finals are tomorrow and I'm not studying yet, this is really helpful
Good luck ❤️
The important thing about studying about my experience that if you give more concentration to the study then you will automatically learn that chapter❤
4:20 My own tips on how to improve tolerance to stress
- Prayer (Salah)
- Consistently timed sleep, & no blue light or intense activity right before bed
- Long exhales compared to inhales; breathing which is nasal & diaphragmatic
- Facial massages
- Engagement w loved ones
- Lemon balm tea
- Beef gelatin drink
- Chamomile tea
Couldn't agree more
this is the most relatable video I had ever seen, for this u deserved to gain a one more subscriber by me😇😇
My chemistry teacher explained this well. Put a sponge under a faucet and it will only soak so much then it will start letting the rest leak through.
This was really true and it will worked very well, and also i had a pro tip to those want to study as efficient and as much as possible, without having too much information trying to remember.
"Try to study only the main parts of a lesson rather than the entirety of it"
Like:
+ Keywords
+ Formulas (including how they work)
+ Critical words that are connected to the keyword (Ex: 'Restore' - to "retain" information) (The critical word here is "retain")
I use this a lot of times because i easily forgot things ,so that's why i find a way to store as little information, while the important details can be able to retain in my mind at the same time.
Not being stressed or worried before the exam is probably the most important thing of all.
this is exactly why i dont study at all
Same

agree, don't be nervous on the test, a few months ago when I changed math teacher, I think it was kinda challenging because she gave many questions on the test and time was very limited, I got so nervous on the test, and I stuck on the first question because I forget the formula. I make myself calm down and everything becomes easy, algebra 2 wasn't a hard class and I ace the test ever since.
those always work fr,like, just relax u aint gonna die with 'em grades
This is EXACTLY what I tell all my friends, I'm gonna send this video to them in hopes they finally understand.
such a great vid. Thanks sir for your advice,Looking forward to more vids
Hope you take our advice and manage to continue to keep up with them
O shit, this stuff is so obvious but I never actually thought of it.
This explains so much of my experience with university
These 6 minutes taught me a LOT of things, more than I learned for years, I'll try these techniques starting today!
Why is ur voice so calming
Another good tip (from my experience) is to be confident
The brain is like an obedient dog, if you are sure with a certainty you can learn a concept or lesson it will do it, i remember i always felt i was going to fail depending on how well i studied, and my expectations of my studying abilites were low at the time so guess what? it actually happened. Low marks low grades. So when the next exams hit my goal was just to improve, any grade above it was a good goal and i had confidence i was gonna remember the lessons this time because i had a small stock knowledge on it, and surprisingly had high scores
There's many ways to study find your own but always be confident
ive never been nervous because of an exam because i dont really care about my grades as long as i dont fail
This is truest thing I’ve ever seen thank you
5:30 so true, for my science exam, i thought i was just going to get a grade 7/9 because I thought i didn’t go well, but i got a grade 9 instead
I do study allot, but I don't focus on the time. It just feels more fulfilling.
Bro should make asmr channel😭 voice was so soothing i almost fell asleep, but the content is very good ngl. I agree not stressing, i didnt stress during my math exam at all and i was able to do good and thingwas i wasnt caring for marks. Stress management is very important.
thats great this helped, and damn man i didnt even realise😭
@rlmprvmnt u r very underrated🙏 man I hope u get famous, thank u.
Yes exactly, whenever i find myself competing I'm saying i just wanna do better than them and no comparison.
Valid point tbh
This philosophy goes for everything in life. Whether exercising or making money, less is sometimes more, given if a respectable amount is effort is being put into the allocated time.
Love u❤ ur so cute and ur voice is really soothing and attractive OMG, I hope ur vids do amazing this really helped me thanks. Ur content is really helpfull❤❤❤❤
It’s not about how much you study it’s how you do it
Okay, i have to test these methods bc i have a test tomorrow. I'll tell you how it went when i finish it:)
Currently stressing about my Spanish finals, barely even touched the study guide till recently. Glad to know all this stuff before hand! Good luck to all the students who are procrastinators like me ;_;
You deserve more subscribers. Your content is really good❤️❤️❤️
When i see the title, i suddenly remembered something one of my highschool teacher taught me about exams.
For Multiple choice questions, after reading the question and choose the answer you think is correct, don't change it when you are checking if you missed a question, you are more likely to change it to a wrong answer. Sometimes, instinct is more powerful than you might think.
I have JEE exam this January and will come back to tell if it worked for me btw thanks for the techniques.
Best of luck!
