I enjoy Meredith’s work out routines so much. I’ve forwarded each to all my friends. Thank you Meredith for allowing me to feel like you’re never to old to have a satisfying workout with weights.
Hi Meredith: Been away from exercising for a bit due to some dental work, but back on track now and will do it every day. Thank you for all your inspiration. Wrote you a few months ago and told you that my husband passed away almost 2 years ago, then a battle with breast cancer. But I am here and doing well and back to my exercising. Thank you for all you do.
Hello! So great to hear from you again!! Yes, you are an inspiration!! I am so proud of you, and look forward to us picking back up and starting our journey again!! We can do this, and I am here for you when needed!! Keep it up! Take care and stay healthy, Meredith
My husband and I do this session twice daily, we repeat the second half to give us 30min sessions. It’s made a huge difference to us and it’s great having a buddy. With other normal activity we usually clock up 10.000 steps every day even though we don’t leave the house as we’re shielding. I feel that my general posture is improving hugely from what I’ve learned in the session. Thank you so much for all the work you do for seniors.
Hi Isobel! Thank you so much for the wonderful comment!! That makes me so very happy that the workouts are helping you and your husband feel better and improve yourselves in many ways!!I am privileged to being your buddy and working out together:) Keep up the great work, both of you! Take care and stay healthy!! Meredith
This is the first time I tried this one. I like being able to use the dumbbells for part of it. I definitely worked up a sweat! Between this and gardening and the food program I again use (MyPlate) I have lost 6 pounds since May 20th and I am NOT starving myself or going hungry. At (nearly) 69 years of age I am more focused on my health than on vanity but it will be nice when clothing fits better again! It will be a bonus. 🥰
I love absolutely everything Meredith does. She is so encouraging and her voice is so soothing so I don’t even realize I’m exercising. She is constantly reminding us to keep core tight, shoulders relaxed, and to keep breathing. I have tried so many exercise videos but with me being not quite as spry at 72, I couldn’t always keep up which was so discouraging. I am never discouraged by any of Meredith’s videos. In fact I can’t wait to do them and I find myself doing an hour or more because they are so much fun! I just had extensive hand surgery and couldn’t do the videos for a couple of weeks. I was going nuts so started back up, not telling my surgeon because he would tell me not to do them. I was very cautious and used a 1 pound weight in that hand. My joints were tightening up when I didn’t”t exercise. I’m a go getter and don’t let anything hold me back. Thank you, Meredith for all you do and keep making videos!!!
Hi Janet! Thank you so much for the comment! I am so happy you found our channel, and you are enjoying my workouts and instruction. You are a go-getter, and I am so proud of you! Keep moving and doing what you can, listening to your body! Take care and stay well, Meredith
Meredith, second time I've tried this workout and was able to do all of it, Yay!!!. At almost 73, I'm trying to strengthen my upper body from my head to my thighs:) Thank you, this is a challenging one, but I like it!!!
I love your marching in place workouts. With the added strength training makes it even better! I'm resting today, but I will complete in the morning. Thank you Meredith!
Hi Meredith, I’m really enjoying your channel. I’m 62 with knee issues and currently quarantined in a hotel in Brisbane Australia after flying back from the states. So I’m not able to leave the room for a few more days. Your workouts are perfect to keep me moving and I will definitely be continuing when I can finally go home.
Hi Janette! Thank you so much for the comment! I am sorry you are quarantined in a hotel. That must not be fun, but I am so happy you found the workouts:) I am so proud of you to continue to move, and want to keep it up with me and my workouts after you get home soon! Keep up the great work! Take care and stay healthy! Keep in touch! Meredith
Good workout Team Meredith! I started out with the dumbbells but had to set them down midway. I look forward to your new posting each week. Thank you so much for all the work that you do!!
I also skipped the dumbbells for the second half, feeling that the first half (WITH the dumbbells) was giving me weight training and the second half, without the added weights, gave me more range-of-motion, both of which I need.
Just love your workouts. thank you for all you do. Just want to tell you about when I did my cardio rehab workouts after bypass surgery. Instead of "inhale" and "exhale" they always said "smell the roses", then "blow out the candles" Comes back to me each time you say inhale and exhale. Anyway, thanks again - see you tomorrow.
Hi Lana! Thank you so much for the comment!! I am so happy you found the channel. And great job with getting back to work after bypass surgery. Not an easy task, quite commendable. I am proud! I like your inhale and exhale analogy from rehab verbiage. Great way to state it:) Keep it up, and keep me posted on your progress through rehab and beyond! Take care and stay healthy, Meredith
Thank you for the comment and support! I am so happy you found the channel and the workout is a fit for you. Keep up the great work! Take care and stay healthy, Meredith
Perfect! I was looking for a video to fit in @ a 20 minute time slot. I spotted this and decided to give it a try. I love that it uses weights along with cardio, and I love the length. I’m soon to be 75 and am finding that long exercise sessions are too much for me. I much prefer to do two or three that are less than 30 minutes. I got away from exercise for a while so I’m trying to work my way back to an hour a day.
I just did this and got a good sweat going, thank you :). I'm not your intended audience as I'm only 27 but I suffer from chronic pain and am very overweight so low impact is perfect for me.
Hi Sarah! Thank you for the comment! I am so happy you found the workouts, because they will be a great fit and benefit to you...low impact but all level! I am proud of you! Keep me updated on your progress! Take care and stay healthy, Meredith
Hi Lorraine! I am so happy you enjoyed the workout, and it is similar to a class you do at your fitness center. Hope you continue to try my workouts, and you enjoy them! Thank you for the wonderful comment!:) Take care and stay healthy! Meredith
This workout was so good. The low impact routine with the 4 pound weights I used was just right. This is my new go-to place for my primary workouts. Thank you 🙏🏾
Thank you so much Ruth!! I am so happy you enjoyed the workout, and all the workouts:) I appreciate you and your support! Keep up the great work! Take care and stay healthy, Meredith
P.S. You are so pretty, kind, creative, and easy on our joints, and minds to be able to follow, yet these are still actually very very good workout, I cannot tell you how grateful I am!! Finding you late night/very early morning has made my day, so now I can STILL keep moving, still in severe pain, BUT your amazing workouts won't make me hurt even more, and they are just as good as the ones that go too fast, etc., and our too hard on my constantly hurting joints! T.Y. mam! :)
As always, I loved this standing cardio workout. I used a 3# weights and it was still a great workout. Do you have a kettlebell work out you could demonstrate?
Hi Linda! Thank you so much for enjoying the standing cardio workout! It is a challenging, and fun one:) As far as a kettlebell workout, I do not have one out yet but it is in the works. Hoping to get a kettlebell workout out for next month, so stay tuned! Thank you again for watching, and enjoying! Take care! - Meredith
O I like this one as well, lovely Meredith! I use only one pd, but i have extreme pain in every joint now. :( Even so, I will do this when i awake, and right after coffee, yaaay, and I will use my super lite weights, but still, I WILL be moving and doing this, t.y. so much, and have a great day!!
Meredith, after 6 weeks doing a daily workout with your Low Impact Cardio, I have promoted myself to this one. It feels like a suitable next step and I am finding it beneficial to work with weights. Love your easy, positive style. I’ll be sticking with this one for a few weeks, but where do you suggest I go from here? Thanks so much!
Hi Sandy! Thank you for the comment! I am so very happy you found the channel and the workouts are a fit for you! After this workout trying a seated or low-impact standing HIIT can be a good step: www.seniorfitnesswithmeredith.com/beginner-hiit-workout-for-seniors/ Hope this helps! Take care and stay healthy, Meredith
Hi Marianne! Thank you for the comment! In this workout, I would say you would do approximately 2,000-2,500 steps at the rate per minute we go. I hope this helps! Keep up the great work and I appreciate your support! Take care, Meredith
I am new to your workouts although I am a relatively experienced senior. Can you please add a small portion of balance work into your routines - any or all of them. Thank you.
Hi Shobana! I do have many balance work segments in many of my workouts. I hope you can enjoy those as well:) Look forward to hearing from you! Take care, Meredith
I am 55 years lady .. I regularly do walking work out at home...I have frozen shoulder problem... should I do this dumbbell workout? How many days in a week should I do this beautiful workout? Please reply.
Hi Manasi! Thank you for the comment. If frozen shoulder, I would do this workout without weights. And an every other day format is best. So work on range of motion especially for the shoulder during your cardio workouts, and then strengthen that area with light weights on the other days. Take care and stay healthy, Meredith
Yes, you can! Also stretch, that will help: www.seniorfitnesswithmeredith.com/seated-sciatica-stretching-workout-for-seniors-beginner-level-12min/ I hope this helps!
Hi Jan! Thank you for the question. As for the cardio workout with weights, it can be done daily but with very light weights or do one day with weights and one day without. Again, thank you for the question and support of the channel. Take care and stay healthy, Meredith
Hi Ginia! Thank you for the comment...and yes, the music is much more audible as of late. We worked on it, so it is agreed. I do thank you for the suggestion:) And so happy you enjoyed the workout! Take care, Meredith
