Penn and Teller just showed us how much class they have! Great ending!
Agreed. They always give props, whether fooled or not, and take a magicians word if he/she says "that's not how I did it," and here they followed up. They truly appreciate the art.
No doubt, eh?!
Yeah that integrity.
P&T did fool Ben into telling them how he did the trick.
I love how they will bring back performers and admit when they were wrong and were fooled. It really elevates the show.
Yeah, they aren't too prideful to admit they were wrong. They really get joy out of being fooled and want to make sure these folks are recognized properly. No embarrassment, no shame, just honesty. Love it!
I've been fortunate enough to know Ben since middle school. In every theater arts tournament and Latin competition, Ben would do make shift magic performances for all of us. He's one of the most genuine, incredible people I know. I took my wife to see him at the standing show he has in Houston, It was one of the best performances I've ever seen, we've been rooting for him a long time. Congratulations on your success, it is very well earned! Magistra Miller would be proud.
It's amazing how smart some people are. They are just born that way. Some are physical athletes, and some mental. This guy seems like a smart dude.
"Just born that way" may sound nice, but it can take away all the studying, practicing, and strategizing a person has done to get to where they are now.
@@VicInCommentSection you're missing the point. A 5 ft 4 guy will never become a NBA star. He's just born that way. A 7 ft guy athletic guy has huge potential to become one.
My point is that this guy was born to be a star. Luckily for him, he followed his abilities and talent instead of wasting it.
@@boreduser12 There are several 5'x" NBA stars that would like to have a word with you. Never mind the sheer multitude of 7' tall people that can't move well enough to play basketball. A grand total of thirty 7'x" tall people have been NBA players. No one is born to be a star... people only attain that after years of hard work and dedication.
@@alexubel again, I don't care how hard a 5' 4" guy works, he ain't making it into the NBA.
A very rare retraction by Penn & Teller! Congrats Ben! It happens but I know the producers confer with them about what they thought it was and what it was. I think (to my knowledge) this is the 4th time this has happened! Congrats for doubly fooling them!
can you tell me at least 2 other times this has happened,if you can not remeber all of them 4, please?
Can you link the other ones?
I only know of one other time..... that amazing coin guy who came back on another show to get his trophy.
Simon corneal with the poker chip.
@@okariin2686simon coronel and andi gladwin to name two
Not just respect to P&T for recognizing they were fooled, but also major props to to you for taking the first (alleged) loss as a true gentleman even though you weren't 100% sure they knew your method.
Also, amazing trick and presentation. World class stuff, nicely done!
Yeah, class to defer to the hosts. Glad he got that trophy
Ben, what a WONDERFUL voice and presentation style you have! Your energy is confident but not cheesy, clear but not condescending, and fun without being frivolous! I'm SO impressed!
Yeah really polished, and I think a wonderful and magical trick
Many watch Penn and Teller for the tricks, some for the comedy...but most for the class. Who would expect that a pair of illusionists would be so honest, even to the point of admitting they were wrong?
Well Done, Mr Jackson.
Class from Ben for not debating the masters on stage, and props to the masters for making sure they got the right call in the end.
Thank you for not spoiling the ending in the title! Also, super cool of P&T to go back and make up for their mistake. Super cool routine. I was blown away.
But they did?

The absolute brilliance of this show is the fact that Penn and Teller can just sit comfortably waiting and remembering all of the magic tricks from around the world that they see. They are building the ultimate war chest of the best tricks.
What makes this trick so amazing is the many layers of deception used to hide the method from the crowd. This makes me love PENN and TELLER even more.
Really, really unexpected finale. I thought they'd get it cause it wouldn't be the first time they weren't expecting a box. Sleighdini might come to mind for this one, but something tells me this is a lot more new and fresh.
The performance itself was perfectly executed. Surgical even. Patter was clear, cut, you had 0 empty words, even when you were buying time you did it without skipping a beat.
Marvelous routine, perfectly executed, and I don't think anyone expected the finale.
Marvelous!
This is the beauty of this Duo. Honest acknowledgment! The signature hallmark of great people! Such a lovely vibe it leaves!! Thanks Penn Thanks teller! 🙏🏾
I was so disappointed when you didn’t get the trophy, so imagine my surprise when you did! Congrats!!! 🎉🎉🎉
This is probably the best trick I've seen this season.
Probably second best trick.🎭
That Korean guy with his card trick... that shit was awesome!
But Ben's is pretty fucking cool too!
P&T just performed a great show of ethics, honesty and class with Ben. Respect and applause to all three men here.
Man, the patter and presentation is as smooth as silk. When I think of a good magician this guy is the type of magician I think of. Quick, intelligent and eloquent. And all this is without the trick which had me 100% fooled. Great things await this guy.
This was amazing dude. I saw how disappointed you were when they first said you didn't fool them. I could tell you thought maybe they did and you did the amazing/awesome/respectable thing by accepting defeat. Then you got the trophy! Couldn't ask for a more entertaining fool us segment.
At the 2013 TEDx in Houston, Ben offered this thought in his keynote...
"The secret of a great trick isn't the method. The method behind the magic often times is unattractive and disappointing. The real artistry in magic, the beauty in magic, lies in the artistry behind the scenes."
Ben Jackson really does have that artistry. Watching him up close is simply amazing. Congratulations on being awarded 'You Fooled Us'!
To Penn and Teller, thank you for your level of support of the art and craft of illusion, and your high integrity as demonstrated in this episode.
Thank you Ben for keeping me amazed! You make it look so effortless.
Hey the etymology of the word clue is true! That's amazing!
That's great, it was a bit obvious you weren't convinced at the end but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I guess they picked up on that too, so wanted to make sure and asked you about it. This is why I love this show. An entire series about "fooling" is ironically the most honest show on TV.
You fooled them, and you fooled me! Really classy act. And this clip really highlights the excellent showmanship AND sportsmanship of this show, everyone behaving with such grace. Ben, the boys, the whole lot. Bravo!
I had a feeling when they said you didn't fool them that you were quite sure you did but basically had to take the high road. Good for you.... On ALL that! Wishing you continued success... Seriously though, being a doctor, museum director and all that... Having that trophy must be the coolest feeling of them all. Congrats!
The best of the best admiting they were wrong. I know some politicians who would learn a lesson from this video.
Admiting you were wrong dont bring down your value. It shows the world your integrity which is truly in need right now.
What a wonderful routine & the ball of yarn in the glass jar baffled me. I look forward to watching more of your performances.
ps) congrats on the win!!
Bravo to Penn and Teller for keeping this show as fair as possible! Thanks for the video :)
Congratulations! I almost turned this off when you said you didn't fool them but I'm so glad I didn't!
Well done!
Its cool to see Penn & Teller being honest and reward you the trophy.
Loved that ending. I thought the trick was incredible
Seeing something like that makes me feel the way I felt when I first saw Penn do the "Is THAT your card?!" trick where he plunges a knife through his hand. I was absolutely flabbergasted! I like feeling like I'm seeing genuine magic and this made me feel that way! Thank you!
Great trick...and great reminder of Theseus.
Beautiful. And a tough crowd for him at the start! Go Ben!
oh this is beautiful! absolutely love this!
Great routine, greak tricks, fantastic script and amazing presentation. I am stunned by many performances on Fool Us, this was one of the moste enjoyable ones by far.

Congratulations ! You deserve it !
That is the DEFINITION of CLASS and HONOR! It could have ended when he left the stage. Kudos for making sure they got it right.
Great job! Awesome twist!! 💥BOOM!!!💥™
Wow, first of a kind! Congrats!
Amazing trick. I really liked it.

Beautiful presentation. Wonderful ending. 🎉
That was incredible.
Great magic Ben, great stage presence, so glad you fooled them!
You have good interaction with your banter...great job ...keep it up
Secret aside, this was a beautiful performance. Ben has stellar patter, that fluid and entrancing to a degree. A great story teller. Just a great routine.
Great trick with a great outcome! Bravo!
Great showmanship & performance! This was a fun trick. Congrats twist at the end!! Glad you Fooled Them 🔥🤟🙌
A beautiful trick and I really enjoyed your narrative, charming indeed.
I was astonished when they said they weren't fooled; it was an amazing, AMAZING sequence. Jaw-dropping, more than once.
Kudos to you, Ben, and to P&T for their integrity in coming back to correct their error.
Fantastic patter 🙌
Soooooo good!!!
Bravo!
That was really good.
Fooled me lol….well done, thoroughly entertaining Sir!
Sooo love them move that they still gave it to him even after finding out they were wrong sooo kool
As im on my current binge of these clips i was thinking if they ever get it wrong after discussing it with the magicians and what happens if they do. Now I know! Congrats on the fool!
That, right there, is integrity!
Best patter and story writing I am seen - so clean, not a wasted word! (Also, the magic was pretty cool)
I‘m so happy to be able to see that show in Germany. Thanks TH-cam…
