Glad to have finally had a moment to sit down and enjoy this. I don't hide my love for Cotswolds and hearing Jake chat with Rob, Alice and Dan shows the passion behind it. Brilliant video as ever! Cheers.
Another fantastic distillery profile. You have this gift of getting to the heart of the place. I was so impressed with you and the distillery. We visited there back in 2022 with my parents and had a great time at the beautifully designed visitors centre. After spending a considerable amount of money there purchasing 4 bottles, including a Single Calvados Cask bottling plus some Glencairn glasses and other bits and pieces, we asked if we could use the picnic tables in the distillery entrance to eat our kosher packed lunch. The answer was no! The girl explained that the tables were reserved exclusively for use for food bought in their distillery café/restaurant. I offered to buy some soft drinks there but still the answer was no! Feeling slightly irritated that they apparently could not be a little bit flexible for our special needs, we left the distillery and started heading for the car. Our plan was to drive to the nearest village and find some park benches there. Just then, it started to rain. However, just as we got to to car, we noticed a man run out of the distillery and heading straight towards us. Thinking that we'd forgotten something there we waited for him to approach us. Out of breath, he apologised for not allowing us to use the picnic tables but insisted that we return to the distillery where they would allow us to use their private tasting and banquet room upstairs to eat our food. We accepted and returned to the centre. We made sure that we tidied up after ourselves and threw all the rubbish away, and want to thank Cotswolds for their warm hospitality.
thanks for tuning in Reb, your messages are always so supportive and we're really grateful to have you as part of our community! as I was reading your story I was waiting for someone to come through for you and I'm glad they did. this distillery has a phenomenal team and I cannot wait to go back and experience it all again
Thanks Jake for an informative video from Cotswold Distillery. I appreciated your depth of questioning re the cut points and ABV levels for the spirit run. Please keep asking for these more technical aspect of production as they help in the understanding of how the distillery style and character in the resulting whisky is expressed. Nice discussion re the esters. Ive just today found my first bottle of Cotswald Single Malt in a bottle store here in New Zealand, very exciting. Thanks again Jake , keep up the good work.
thanks for tuning in Rodney, glad you enjoyed it. I always try and keep these distillery videos approachable for everyone so I try not to ask too many technical questions, but depending on where we are I'll try and find the interesting points to highlight and I thought Alice was passionate about this areas. glad to hear you've found yourself a dram - let us know what you think! sláinte pal
My daughter bought me a bottle of Cotswold whisky last year as a gift and I was absolutely blown away by how good it was and have now elevated it to one of my regular drams. I can't wait for a 10yr old to be released. Superb whisky indeed.
now that's a special gift to receive! it's a great distillery Tony, great to hear you're enjoying their output. lots of exciting things coming from this team for sure. sláinte
What a nice way to ease into the holiday season by watching Jake and his team pull off another fascinating tour. Thank you for all you have done for your fellow enthusiasts in 2023 by keeping us engaged, informed and thirsty for new whisky finds. All the best to you gents.

Team Whisky Baron & Jake, yet another fantastic distillery tour video! Absolutely love what the Cotswolds Distillery is doing-bringing their golden liquid to the world without being bound by age statements, while delivering top-notch quality with balanced, flavorful spirits. This kind of passion truly shines through in their exceptional drams and tribute to craftsmanship, where every bottle captures the essence of the harvest's finest in the series. Huge kudos to Daniel, Rob, Alice, and the entire Cotswolds team-along with Jake, of course for good work. Cheers to all of you! Keep rocking and creating magic. Slàinte Mhath! 🥃🎉
thanks Praveen, this is a lovely message and we really appreciate you supporting the channel. wishing you the very best start to 2025 my friend, sláinte
Great video - I've visited Cotswolds Distillery numerous times - the best visit was the founders tour - Dan took us everywhere, genuinely access all areas and then he spent a couple of hours in the tasting lounge with us - a real gentleman. The cafe also provides very tasty treats!!
true and true! the passion for this distillery really does flow from the top down and Dan is a phenomenal Owner/Director. we were also treated to some of the best pastries I've had in my life, so even non whisky drinkers will enjoy a visit to their cafe!
ah, nice one Chaz! thanks for your support on the channel this year my friend. I hope you've been enjoying the festivities, wishing you the very best start to 2025!
