one of my top distillery visits to date JJ - seriously impressive what they're doing here and such a joy to see it first hand. could not recommend more highly
When I'm up that way, always take time to pop into Glenallachie to buy a few bottles. Also visit Glenfarclas which is just down the road. Great behind the scenes tour Jake.

Thanks Jake, as usual I loved the distillery tour. So interesting to see all the similarities between the distilleries as well as the big differences. Definitely one to visit. I must give a quick mention to Stevie for the quality of the edit on this episode too, cracking scenery shots entwined with some quality mood tunes.
Hello Jake. Such a nice episode, thank you! Although it's one of the distillery isn't far away from me and a lot of times I visited it to have a bottle (or few), I still didn't managed to have a tour, so thanks again. Surely will go for a tour, just not now unfortunately. All the best to you!

Glorious Glenallachie oh how delicious is this spirit!!!! Loving the work put in and content from this channel and Uncut podcast. Certainly do appreciate the teams love of single malt from barley to bottle. Glenallachie is great juice!

@@TheWhiskyBaron Thank you and Hi, Lucky to be enjoying a Glenlivet bottled by GM from1974. Still drinking Bunna Cask 2022 (stunning malt if you're into sherry) and the odd Glendronach.
It’s probably my favourite in terms of the great whisky produced and defo the one I have the most bottles of. Love what they are doing with different casks and the pursuit of perfection as Billy calls its! Great video guys! 👏🏻
Very interesting to see a distillery tour of a site that has gone from 4million litres a year down to 800,000litres. Kinda like rehoming a battery hen and giving it a second life. Willie looks like he has a brilliant job with all those different casks coming in every week to fill and re-rack, never a dull day 😍
not quite the analogy I'd go with Jack but it's certainly amazing to see the turnaround that they have made here and the focus they have on excellence. maybe this humble Speyside distillery could pull you away from Arran?
@@TheWhiskyBaron ha now let’s stay in the realms of reality here 😂 I’ve already given my heart to Arran, perhaps a bit of spare time and weekend walks with GlenAllachie, but the box of Quality Street or Black Magic stays for Arran 😜

Another fascinating behind the scenes video, Jake. I love Billy Walker and Glenallachie. I would love to learn more about MacNair's though. Means folks 'buying whiskey with their eyes' tend to pass it by. 🤗
