I just found this channel as I'm just learning about Miss. Carmen. I missed out on much and am catching up. I learned of her bc I'm learning the song 'Supper Time' and I'm trying her version even though there have been others singing it such as the other incomparable 'Ethel Waters', 'Nancy Wilson' etc. It was written for Ethel Waters for the play Carousel.

Love this series! But I feel for Carmen -- its weird performing to no audience. And when she reaches out to pianist Norman Simmons for some time-filling banter, he unfortunately leaves her hanging in the wind. lol.
