Still one of the best burnouts ever. Sounds so awesome when it really gets howling!! Too many cars these days just bounce off the limiter and it sounds awful
@reg grundies, part of the reason for its sound it made besides an absolute cracking engines was it was a manual, a top loader. They have a different connection. Also I yes, it sheared the roll pin in the distributor.
11,000 outta 8 cylinders sounds better than anything you will ever hear, absolute brilliant engine builder to get it to hold together at them revs, and to the comments about blowing up perfectly good engines, these guys will often run the same engine for a year, and all it really needs is a freshen up. It comes down to the quality of the engine builder and the parts they use, oncey they have the car, one of the biggest costs would be tires, and transport, not replacing engines.
An F1 is *capable* of revving because of its short stroke. If only revved to 8,000RPM, it would still make 300HP out of 2.4L, which is the same HP/L as seen in Nascar.
@MrMurphy1025 Well, I don't know what to tell you other than the tell tale on the tacho read 11,200rpm afterwards. You can't judge it from the video, especially after TH-cam does it's thing.
And yeah, I've seen certain pro stock engines closing on 10,000 rpm, but SERIOUS money gets them that high. The guy in this video says this car is turning even higher than all these engines mentioned, and then proceeds to hold the throttle to the floor and blow it up. Excuse me for being skeptical.
@monsterink101 It's not a stock engine, there's no way a stock windsor would rev anywhere near that high with grenading... in fact this one grenaded too.
Relative to their displacement, F1 engines have larger bores, valves, and thus - greater flow for intake and exhaust. Any conventional engine revved to 20k RPM like an F1 would make less power than it would otherwise, since it cannot flow enough air to fill the cylinder that rapidly.
Dunno about 11,000 rpm. Downloaded the video, stripped out the sound and did a spectral analysis. Dead on 44 seconds is the fastest and the pitch of the exhaust there is 622.6 Hertz. Divide that by 4 pulses per rev = 155.65 revs per sec. 60 seconds in a minutes so times 60 = 9,339 rpm. Even so, it's faster than anything 99.99999% of people could ever hope to own.
Is it an engine blow that an engine stopped with an awful explosive by the latter half? In the vicinity of 58 seconds, why is it that flame comes out of headers?
@SargentBlah I actually thought it was fairly smart, why open the seal on a fire extinguisher for a tiny flame the size of my lighter then have to get the extingusher refilled again and waste money? Obviously he can see the flames are small and are posing no threat nor causing any damage.
The states? Nah dude I live in Australia. I was over there in 2010 for a motorsport holiday. I might have mentioned that earlier & you might have thought I was living over there. Anyway, how are ya?
F1 engines cost in excess of $400,000, and have a very tiny stroke length. Nascar engines cost $60,000 - $80,000. NHRA pro stock engines rev 8500-9000 rpm and cost over $80,000. Anything else?
At :07 he was at 8k rpm when he put his foot through the floor board he was at 10k rpm easy and it only stopped cuz there were at lease 2 hondas stuck in tne air filter
Im sure this argument is invalid really, is it not? The guy just took the limiter off in order to blow his engine up for the enjoyment of the crowds. Thats all. Im sure it could quite easily turn 11,000 rpm and then die. Im pretty sure you could take any engine to extreme revs like that if you arnt bothered about keeping it running.
Wow wot a monster, rpms like that make it that much more exciting to watch, hope he got it back together ok maybe it needs to be destroked a lil to better cope wid the revz :)

Engine didn't blow, it snapped the distributor shaft, just popped n banged to a stop. new dizzy n away she went again
I love high revving cross plane V8 engines. They sound like they could destroy the whole world
Love to see one in real life that is for sure.
Pertev Aky00 This one is not cross plane dude, just a ridiculously high revving ford small block.... in Australia!!! Aussie Aussie Aussie!!
And i love your comment
Westy 988 It is cross plane, as are most V8s. You’re thinking of a flat plane which it is not. They tend to sound much smoother and less aggressive.
Makes me proud to be an Aussie. Probably the best video on the net.
Man, there is definitely no shortage of awesome cars in Australia. That thing is a wicked beast!
0:21 HOLY SHIT that sounds amazing!
That sound WOW...11,200 rpm insane
@reg grundies, part of the reason for its sound it made besides an absolute cracking engines was it was a manual, a top loader. They have a different connection. Also I yes, it sheared the roll pin in the distributor.

im a chev boy, but credit given where its due.... fark me dead. can rev!!
actually sent a shiver down my spine.
That's pretty much it. The tell tale on tacho said 11,200rpm but the engine was toast afterwards
AWWW. POOR ENGINE.
Zero shits given at 0:20 lol this is the best thing ever

been watching this skid for years. It's my go to when I need a pick up and a laugh
yep same here
I love at about 0:30 you can see blue flames streaming out of the exhaust! Sweet!
When I saw the title I thought "Bullshit." Then when I heard it, I was like "Yeah, that sounds legit."
A dream come true!! Maybe LS V8's could rev as high as a Formula F1!!
Nobody 'Mericas better than Straya. Happy Valentines Day everybody, this video is mood to the max.
I swear the earth rotated backwards whilst that burnout was happening!
He wants it he wants the $10,000 really badly.
Bushfires coming from underneath those quarters legend.

Yep, it's had a full revamp. Looks for some videos with ITHOPS in the title

What soft ware do you use for that ?
@@AxelP33 Cool Edit 96. But nowadays Audacity is better. And free.
That thing is terrifying...
@nabekama1965
Pretty sure it's a Windsor based engine, but I haven't looked in the engine bay for a while.
Is it an engine blow that an engine stopped with an awful explosive by the latter half? In the vicinity of 58 seconds, why is it that flame comes out of headers?
@samminaion yes but they r not for example 4000cc but 2400.less cc per cylinder =easier high reving.anyways they cost over 100+k .....
thank you! is this ford v8 are 351c or windsor ?
@MrMurphy1025
Why do you say that?
11000 rpm Such a sweet sound like music to your ears
@SargentBlah I actually thought it was fairly smart, why open the seal on a fire extinguisher for a tiny flame the size of my lighter then have to get the extingusher refilled again and waste money? Obviously he can see the flames are small and are posing no threat nor causing any damage.
im guessing some very stiff valve spring on this thing. either way, it didnt last long. what a shame :/ I wonder what the power this thing could make
Damn!! that sound is sweet music to my ears.....
@blownhemi what type of block is it then cuz i want one
Did you not read the description?
Is this a 302 ford??
@blownhemi dose it mater what year the engine is cuz i got a 351 windsor for free and its a 79 i think can i do the same with 11,000 rpm?
I love the glowing headers down below.
Funny car and top fuel engines rev 8000-8500 rpm, and cost $50,000+, if I recall.
listen to that friggin thing.
What kind of tires are you using? Maybe if I invest in some of those, I might not have to buy tires ever again! What news!!
Must have the tach wired for a 4cyl.
ninja kiwi haha yeah bro probably fucking scammers ....lol sounds wicked but
ninja kiwi nah,exy built n balanced windsor,its v v hi revvin,dont need ta double nothn.Wainui.
Sounds like 75000rpm to me
i dont know what costs more to him, gas or new tires?
Do they race with this car or is it for burnouts only ?
thats the end of those valve springs.
The states? Nah dude I live in Australia. I was over there in 2010 for a motorsport holiday. I might have mentioned that earlier & you might have thought I was living over there.
Anyway, how are ya?
are you the guy that filmed the ute that flipped onto its side during the burnout? why did you remove that video???
F1 engines cost in excess of $400,000, and have a very tiny stroke length. Nascar engines cost $60,000 - $80,000. NHRA pro stock engines rev 8500-9000 rpm and cost over $80,000. Anything else?
Nup, not my video
Australian tire mashing.
Best sport ever?
0:31 - 0:36... that engine is belching up the fires of hell
little windsor big power
Yessir. Simon Kryger & Johnny Wilson from Staunch Racing. The video is on here. Also Google for more info.
@mswonderwoman12...are you the same one from 377ndacut?
its back working again i think
Harry Haig is a fucking madman! Bloody awesome
At a quick glance, the thumbnail for this video looks like a Datsun 1200 ute lol.
Yeah but you said its pointless. Pretty sure F1 teams do it for a reason. I dont see any F1 teams with a v8 getting peak power doing 7-8k rpm
pretty good man, whats up?
ford cleveland motor then?
What engine to spin those r's ?
look out the blue flames under the truck at 0:31
1uz or pushrod v8 ?
that isn't 11k rpm, thats just barelly 10,000
@rompn4x
Nah, we've got Kangaroos and Koalas. When we teach the marsupials to do burnouts shit's gonna get crazy
@tuf73 After all Ford engines revs around well. Thank you.
at 0.34 you can see the headers glowing orange
Hi Murph. How the hell are ya?
That thing was turning some serious r's..holy shit
The sound of awesome
I love the Windsor, But I don't think it was over 8 rpm . There's no need to rev it past that to blow small tyres, and destroy parts or engine .
thats wayyy past 8 grand.
At :07 he was at 8k rpm when he put his foot through the floor board he was at 10k rpm easy and it only stopped cuz there were at lease 2 hondas stuck in tne air filter
way past 8 budd
peter grmusa revved his 700bbc to 9 5.
thar was in fdis at s.nats.took the chip out
@blownhemi thats around 9000 to 9500 at best.
V12?
Then tell us why the F1 cars rev way pay 11krpm?
Sounds like a Nascar on steroids
no valve float.....solid engine combo til it detonated/grenaded.
Aint nothin like a blown V8 symphony
I'm surprised it didn't blow up.
@spamerma Its australian not american...
Yes. Yes you do!
NEAR BY TOWN JUST THOUGHT THERE WAS ANOTHER WOODSTOCK
I have no doubt it spun past 11,000.
0:31 - 0:35 : Meanwhile ,under the chassis ........ This must have been as hot as hell downthere ........
@MsWonderwomen12 ive played with enough engines to know what they sound like at high revs.......
@blownhemi .... i think he needs a new tacho
@MDSerles its all for the fans bro
worst thing you can ever do is hold an engine at a high RPM lmao bad ass burn out! i wish my truck would rev that high but a 366 wont go over 4,000
that motor must have pissed him off at some point

and you live here in the states why?
0:30 holy shit look at the exhaust (under the car)

no way he planned to drive that one home - sounded wicked tho. For 40 seconds, ;o)
Whats wrong with it?
records are made to be broken right? you guys continue to set new records, we'll continue to break them, lol i been good by the way, how you been?
0:32 sec check out the blue flames....awesome
