I still haven't played Street Fighter 6 but it is definitelymy favourite fighting game so far. For aesthetic reasons alone, it's better than the other two. The move sets are smoother and more cinematic. The character designs and base costumes fit each character well. And I love how they really emphasise the "street" in Street Fighter. My favourite characters: Ed Cammy
I hope so as well, but NRS shows that they don't really care about making a good competitive fighter. Just a game that's gonna get its sales from simply being Mortal Kombat.
@@christianhenry4173If not for WB, I’m pretty sure mk1 was supposed to be Injustice 3. It’s where the idea for the kameo system came from + why they abruptly cut support for mk11
everyones hating on mk1, but honestly, when it comes to keeping my attention longer, this time it's going to mortal kombat. It just has way more characters i feel like playing. The combos look cooler. No bs drive impact lmao. Mortal kombat just has a more immersive atmosphere to me. I love street fighter, but i dont have a drive for playing more than like 2-3 characters. The World tour mode was cool, until i found out it's impossible to recreate a characters moveset because supposedly im trying to equip a move that uses the same inputs as another. Even tho im not. So that really sucks and made me not want to play it anymore. After making it to master rank and playing a bit further, i had no drive to continue playing. It became so sweaty. It was sweaty in platinum rank even. So idk, That wasnt too enjoyable
@@IlokanoWarrior you can’t have the complete Special movesets on classic. For example, ryu can’t have the tatsumaki and hashogeki at the same time. Ken can’t have Jin ry kick and hadoken at the same time either
Yeah true that micro transactions for the devil. Wish developers would start realising that. Thanks for the fighter in insights it's Tekkens time in the limelight again
The only way for devs to realize that is for the players to realize it. The moment we boycott that shit, the less of it we’ll see. Unfortunately, there are too many people who excuse it or act neutral.
mortal kombat has been my definition for “fighting game” for a long time, ever since my uncle showed me it, i was so intrigued by it, but i’ve recently dipped my toes into street fighter and watched a bunch of tekken gameplay, it’s just insane. mortal kombat might be buns right now and hated by a lot of people in the fgc, but i’ll still keep it close to my heart for being my introduction into fighting games for sure.
i think your view is shared by everyone that Tekken 8 was the best release followed by Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat is flopping hard
I say this with all certainty: that many years from now, _Street Fighter 6_ will be an all-timer. it's up there for SURE. it's had its problems, all games do, but it's the one I feel that cracked The Code. not just of Fighting Games but GAMES games. it's crossed over. you simply don't hear people talking about MK1 or Tekken 8 in tournaments, though I'm sure they happen. I really have no idea where Street Fighter is going to go from here. where CAN it go? how tight can a 2D fighter get?
I’ve been a diehard fan of the MK series since 9. I can easily say, MK 1 is by FAR the biggest disappointment amongst the current big 3. I was a noob to the Street Fighter series, 6 was my first and I absolutely LOVE the game! I can also say the same for Tekken 8, T8 is an absolute blast as well!
I’m not ashamed to say that I’m having more fun playing Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 than I am with Mortal Kombat 1. And I grew up mostly with Mortal Kombat. I grew up with Street Fighter as well but not as much. I don’t really know much about Tekken, but Tekken 8 made me a fan. My Ratings: Street Fighter 6: 9.5/10 Tekken 8: 9/10 Mortal Kombat 1: 6/10
MK's problem as of late it seems to get rebooted after every few games. The story really should of went on after MK7 or MKA. Yeah a break with vs DC ok a crossover no big deal, but then the next Mortal Kombat comes in and reboots everything. Then after MK ten and 11, MK1 once again does another reboot.
I got to give it to sf6, but tekken not far off. As far as mk1, they should have waited until it was finished. Tekken story easily is my favorite idc how cliche it is or how annoying the POF trope is. I love it.
I've always liked Tekken the most since I didn't really get how 2D fighters were played. Although I've always liked Guilty Gear, BlazBlue and Street Fighter from a distance since the visuals and the characters were great. Tekken 8 didn't really do it for me from the first visuals and playing it at GamesCom and the demo. At the same time SF6 won me over and I'm loving it. It's the game I've spend the most time in, in this generation and I'm now a big fan of the series, even "getting" older games now when replaying them and consuming everything I can find about the franchise to make up for the lost time. I love almost everything about SF6, it's just great.
When you have shareholders you got to keep that stock growing which means greedy micro transactions most of the time. They continue to do it because people keep buying so why would they stop. Put out unfinished or glitchy games and still rake in cash from micro transactions. I dont buy much anymore. I spend most time on apex legends and there events are always oh $160 for all packs to get heirloom. Even had one event was like 300 something for first person shooter so not like you see your outfit. I quit spending money long time ago on games that focus on raking in cash through micro transactions especially AAA studios. Give new content to play thats worth it, not over priced cosmetics. Sorry easy to rant about this so i will leave it here.
Just look at steam chart, sf6 has almost double count of players of t8. Mk1, well is a mediocre so forget about it. Not to mention sf6 is the 1st one to be released. Sf6 is by far the best fighting game right now.
it's amazing just how unnappealing MK1 becomes after just a few hours. all that grindy stuff, the weirdly docile / then EXTREMELY gory / then wacky Marvel banter multiverse cringe, the monetization that feels like a gaming acid bath, just the way the whole thing feels created in whole by AI ... it's intense. it feels good to play, at first, much better than 11. but then that weirdly gross feeling pervades and you can't fall into it like you could with X or 9 or even the classics. if they wanted to fail big time, they succeeded. big time.
what i think is real bad is that u cant even bring the move list to the practice arena. u must remember them vs Mk where u can mark all moves and see them while u practise fighting. also it does not supper 3440x1440 21:9, its so silly only in full 4k i can use ultravide with a 3440.1440, cuz the 3440 is not there for 21:9 in the game, well the tip is, and its also working for movies and so on, however not a good resolution for win. So u must witch it of and on like this: if i go set my screen to 60 hz 4k your screen it will support the 21:9 cuz then the screen support 4k in 60 Hz. Stupid and not include 3440x1440 in 2024. GREAT! the only fighting game or game i struggle with that on still in 2024. else the game looks great and feel good. now u know what to do to get 21:9 with a 3440x1440
Played all three recent fighting games. And i must say, Mortal Kombat 1 is a big smoking pile of crap. The Kamoe system is annoying and out of all the kameo fighters there are maybe 2-3 usefull, rest sucks. The roster is great, but every character feels kind of restricted in what he or she can do, not much crazy stuff everyone was inventing in MK11 or MKX. The invasion mode sucked, played like three matches and shut it down due to boredom. Story was okayish, but weaker than in the previous MK titles. I think i deleted the game not even a week in. Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 on the other hand, im still playing those almost every day. Those two are really fun, everyday i learn some new stuff that i haven´t seen before. Yes the ingame shop sucks and is expensive in both games, but you do not have to get anything, no one is forcing you. The same said with the battle pass in Tekken 8, one small positive aspect here is, that you get the whole coins out of it at the end you spent in the beginning. So all in all, MK1 is left far behind T8 and SF6.
SF6 is the most fun ive ever had playing a fighting game. Capcom knocked it out the park

you will have a complete move set using classic controls. it makes the game much more balanced when it denies the moves for similar input specials/

Why they didn't add deacon Frost and Tyler durton to Street fighter now that's a damn shame😢😢😢
I own all 3 games. Street fighter is the best. The players are better at gaming too.
I think it’s more how faith in a character in street fighter can get you somewhere unlike how most people try to play the most meta people in mk1

SF6 only issue is the silly dialogues and bad story. If they can work that moving forward, it will be much better.
