The brothers Gibb were some of the best singer/songwriters in history! They wrote over a 1000 songs for themselves and other big names and groups. I was around 17 or 18 when the album Spirits Having Flown came out. The first 3 songs were #1 hits! Tragedy, Too Much Heaven and Love You Inside and Out. Barry, the brother in the middle, is the only one left of 4 brothers. Barry was the oldest and by the way he wore his hair, beard, mustache and clothing, the ladies were definitely drawn to his good looks. There will never be another group like them! In the 60s and especially the 70s and 80s they were on fire. No autotune or anything else that is used to help performers now were unavailable back in 79. Pure talent. After all, they had been singing together since 1960. Bless you Barry and RIP to your brothers. Your legacy will live on!
This is my first time visiting your channel. Welcome to the world of the Bee Gees. Run, don't walk down the rabbit hole - you will have no regrets and never look back. These men are absolute legends.
Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am an African-American female, 67 yrs old, and grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003 - passed away - twisted intestines and heart problems. Married with 2 children.) Robin (Dec. 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012 - Cancer. Married with 4 children.) Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Barry (middle) said, 'I'm the last man standing.' He was 76 on September 1, 2022, which is also the 52nd wedding anniversary with Linda. They have 5 adult children (4 males and one female) and 7 grandchildren. Barry's voice is a bit more mellow since he is older, but he continues to perform to sellout crowds!! Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins! Andy had one daughter. He passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. 😪Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. The brothers wrote all of their songs, (except for one, which was written by another 60s singer) and songs for other singers. They have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! You may have already listened to the following. (I know it's a lot of songs, but I think you'll like them) Staying Alive th-cam.com/video/fNFzfwLM72c/w-d-xo.html Night Fever th-cam.com/video/SkypZuY6ZvA/w-d-xo.html You Should Be Dancing th-cam.com/video/Auo29DPfZ2E/w-d-xo.html(Brother Andy is in this video) For Whom the Bells Toll th-cam.com/video/jTowyYFXIUY/w-d-xo.html One th-cam.com/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/w-d-xo.html You Win Again th-cam.com/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/w-d-xo.html Spirits (Having Flown) th-cam.com/video/WWBFpoErDCM/w-d-xo.html Emotion th-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/w-d-xo.html (Destiny's Child did a cover on this, but IMO Samantha Sang (original) is MUCH better. Barry Gibb...voted the best falsetto of all time! 3 brothers who are not only amazing singers but incredible songwriters with over 1000 credits. How Deep is your Love, Fanny be tender with my love, Jive Talking, You Win Again, Staying Alive, You Should be dancing, Nights on Broadway, Night Fever...just to get you started. Great reaction!
Yes yes yesssssssssss! I did fall in love to this very song. We were together 44 year's. He died last year. But I seriously suggest falling in love to this. ❤
You definitely chose the best. These brothers are the best group ever. I love the Bee Gees. They are singers/song writer's and have written more than a thousand songs. They also wrote for many other artists, many number one hits. I hope you check out some of their other songs....How deep is your love....Night Fever.... Staying Alive....so so many. Great reaction!
They have hundreds and hundreds of songs that will make you happy. You almost can't go wrong with anything they sing. And they have many styles, from the 1960s right through to 2001.
Wow. I can see you cant believe how much you were wowed by these guys. Greatest songwriters of all time. Greatest harmonies. Beautiful reaction. Seratonin, dopamin levels all rising. Just subcribed, by the way. Love anything by the Brothers Gibb. How deep is your love is their iconic love song from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.
"This is a falling in love song." You got that right; and that's how Barry writes 'em. And we're ALL waiting for this type of music to come back, because, maaaaan, there's a huge void today.
OK tell me the truth about 4 1/2 minutes and you stopped it and it looked to me like you were about brought to tears? That’s what the Bee Gees do. I’ve seen grown men cry when listening to this song. By the way you are adorable. This is my first time listening and I hope that you react to more Bee Gees. I am obsessed with this group. Do you know they have written over 1000 songs? Do you know every song that they sing they wrote themselves? They started to sing very young dating back to 1958 and they sang together through the 60s, the 70s, the 80s, the 90s, and even into the early 2000s. They have so many beautiful songs I’m so glad that you loved this :-)
Barry is not sweating from his chest. Those are scars that are shinny. When he was 4 years old, he was running around his house and accidently pulled a pot of boiling water onto himself. He suffered 3rd degree burns and spend 2 years in the hospital for recovery. He said that he was so traumatized that he did not talk for those 2 years. There are some photos of him bare chested and you can see the extensive scaring.
Barry prob had his chest a tad greased up here....so all the shine isn't only scarring🥲. Also he wasn't quite 2 when he was burned....& in the hospital for about 2 1/2 months.
Check out their song "Alone", live in the studio. Barry did the lead singer in Too Much Heaven, but Robin gets to share the lead in "Alone". Another great song! Thanks!
The Bee Gees are amazing..when Barry was younger he was burned on his chest that that's why it's so shiny. So glad the younger generation is listening to the music we grew up to..
@@TheHolyCrotch have you seen the video or give a reaction to the song Alone!!! another fantastic one... as well as the song Whom the Bell Tolls both songs are amazing... On the song Whom the Bell Tolls they wrote that for their little brother Andy Gibb after he passed away if you ever have any questions about the Bee Gees I know everything about them. I grew up watching them and listening to them since the beginning..
Bee Gees are incomparable and legends. Featured in the Book of Guiness as the most successful songwriters of all times. Sir Barry Gibb along with his brods cannot be surpassed in terms of harmonies esp. switching tones and tunes.
The Bee Gees are three brothers who have sung together since children. They have fantastic harmonies and loads of songs in different genres and decades. They also wrote songs for other singers. One of the best groups to come out of the UK.
Hey, young man. I'm on the floor laughing with your heartfelt reaction! 🙂 How old are you? Welcome to awesome music. Yes indeed! This is a falling in love song. It was released (1978) one year after I married. Whether hubby wanted it or not, this would have been on our list of songs. You can see the shiny splotches on his chest. When he was two years old, he pulled a pot of hot tea off of the table. His mother said he did not speak for 2 years. At times, I think he has to use some type of cream to keep his chest from being irritated from his shirts rubbing on his chest. He also has scars on his arm. They were mischievous boys. They always got into trouble. Robin liked to set fires. Maurice (he was a tad quiet) liked photography. Barry was the ladies' man. They were so bad that the police told his parents they should move, or the boys would be put in a reform school. I'm so glad they moved!
Hi Brenda! Oh thank you so much for watching my silly reaction, I’m glad it could make you laugh, I had an absolute blast with this song! I’m 21 years old and thanks you so much for sharing your story! Its lovely to hear. I hope you stick around!
I love the fact that you understand the biological response to the music, tones, frequency. It takes you on a ride. My favorite think to do with this song is to put on the headphones, turn up the volume, close my eyes and enjoy the ride. I'm 59 years young... grew up with this music. I think your generation is starved for great music. No autotune or computers. This is pure talent. Another great artist to check out is Prince. Prince captured my heart the first time i heard him at the tender age of 13 and continued to have an impact on my life until the day he passed.. The Bee Gees are the 3 Brothers Gibb. Barry was born in 1946. Robin (long blond hair) and Maurice (pronounced Morris) are fraternal twins born in 1949. They started singing when Barry was 8 and the twins Maurice and Robin were 5. Their career ran from 1958 to 2009. Their first albums came out in the 1960’s. Their father was a drummer who had a band that played in clubs. Their mother was a dance hall singer. Once the boys started getting a lot of gigs their father became their manager and they boys supported the family of 7 (Mother, father, Barry, the twins, a sister, and their younger brother Andy). The twins passed away, Maurice (1/12/2003) and Robin (5/20/2012). Barry is still alive at the age of 76, and still writing songs, performing, and putting out albums. One of the great things about the Bee Gees and their long career is that they were constantly growing and reinventing themselves. They have a younger brother Andy who performed on his own. He was just as talented. Andy died on 3/10/1988 from inflammation of the years, as a result of a viral infection. The Bee Gees wrote and produced for 1,000 songs to include songs they wrote for Diana Ross, Dion Warrick, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and even Michael Jackson. They have sold over 120 million records worldwide (with estimates as high as over 225 million records sold worldwide), making them among the best-selling music artists of all time. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997; the Hall's citation says, "Only Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks and Paul McCartney have outsold the Bee Gees." With nine number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100, the Bee Gees are the third-most successful band in Billboard charts history behind only the Beatles and the Supremes.
This was a concert for UNICEF and they donated all of the proceeds to the cause. To this day UNICEF has received over 10 Million and counting. It is United Nations Children’s Fund.
There was a fourth brother, Andy in the group. He died tragically at a young age. Barry is the only one alive today. Try How Do You Mend a Broken Heart. It's beautiful.
Back in the day people actually had talent and used real musicians. You are probably thinking of the song Staying Alive. They are the masters of conveying emotion. The brothers Gibb have written over 1000 songs. They started performing and recording as The Bee Gees in 1958 and recorded and performed up until the death of Mo ( Maurice, pronounced Morris). They wrote for and produced many other artists. BTW, that is not sweat on Barry’s chest, it is a scare from his youth, he almost died. If you want views and likes, this is a great rabbit hole to go down.
My gf at 13 loved Barry when this song came out. Her and I lost touch until we met in college. Now it's too many years later and we have made a family......but she would still leave me for Barry 🤣 🤣🤣
Probably 'Stayin' Alive' is the song you couldn't think of. They donated the royalties from this song to UNICEF kid's charity...around 17 million dollars so far. English brothers, big brother Barry, middle, with Robin, left, and Maurice (pronounced Morris) right, fraternal twins, who grew up in Australia.
@@TheHolyCrotch - probably the deepest rabbit hole you will ever jump into… These guys were prolific! React to Stayin’ Alive for THE Disco experience, and How Deep Is Your Love for a sample of their lower range…both great!
Barry in fact spent most of his childhood within the British Isles and his twin brothers spent half of their childhoods on the Isle of Man and Manchester, England. They never lost their British accents.
I grew up listening to Queen and Bee gees. You should listen to Queen live aids concert. And somebody to love live, who wants to live forever. I want to break free by queen. Staying alive and how deep is your love by bee gees.
"I'll bet you $1000", you have heard some of the Bee Gees songs and don't know it's a Bee Gees song! Especially one of their greatest hits...(Staying Alive)
Great reaction! Since this song really seemed to move you I would recommend checking out To Love Somebody (1967) and How Deep Is Your Love (1977). Two absolutely beautiful and timeless love songs from different eras.
64th...the BeeGees were my HS music Class of 79 ....the movie SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER made for a few million dollars, it was the TITANIC of 1978..the BeeGees were already Famous - but that Movie Propelled them to SUPER STARDOM.. AND MADE THEM AND THE MOVIE A GAZILLION DOLLARS .....I wish I would've appreciated them more when I was younger ...62 now ..................notice NO AUTO-TUNE..... Thats their voices.. just them and the orchestra
You’re probably thinking of Staying Alive. One of the best bands of my era listen to Fanny Be Tender With My Heart,How Deep Us Your Love and You Win Again. Your not the first person to mention Barry’s teeth LOL. They are brothers Barry is the lead singer Robin and Maurice are twins
My wife hated their falsetto voices from the beginning. I love them for their style. I agree, a few beers on your own with this music is better, than to have any b**ch, you can get around for a drink... Good music will never die...
You know for sure some songs of them, they wrote over 1000 songs for themselves and other famous artists and a lot of their songs were covered also from many artists, for example words from boyzone. Maybe you can react to this -Words-Bee Gees - Boyzone
So just got to the point where you say about Barry's chest and that he is sweating. Actually that's a skin tones shirt. Barry never bared his chest because he was severely burned on his chest and right arm when he was a child. Love your reaction to their effortless singing. Not sure if anyone has suggested you watch How Deep Is Your Love. Another artist for you to watch is a Canadian....Celine Dion, any of her songs are wonderful maybe start with My Heart Will Go On.
From the British Isles. None of them gave up their British citizenships. They left England in 1958 when Barry was nearly 12 and the twins were nearly 9. Returned to their homeland 9 years later.
You are hilarious… you have a keen eye… and ear ‼️ Please check out the band “Blue” singing”Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word” with Elton… these guys have such a cool vibe that I think you’ll get off on
they have so many good songs. they wrote 1,000 songs. they wont let anyone change how they composed each song. Worlds best Group. they started band and performing in 1958. The Gibb brothers. there is a younger one. Andy Gibb . He sang a little bit with brothers but wanted to make it on his own. He died at 30 years old. He got into Drugs bad. it messed his heart up bad. Hied from that later on. Sad i watched there carer life Video other Day. i was young when they started. i am 71 now. lots and lots of GOOD BANDS HAPPENING IN LATE 60 . GOOGLE MORE MUSIC FROM THEM GUY IN MIDDLE IS OLDEST BARRY, THEN THE DARK HEADED IS .MURICE LIGHT HEDED IS ROBIN THOSE 2 ARE TWINS THEN ANDY IS BABY OF FAMILY. HAVE 1 SISTER. I AM PRETTY SURE ALL DEAD NOW. BARRY WAS 76. I HAVE SEEN COUPLE OF POST SAYING HE DIED. THROAT CANCER.
if you want to do reactions to groups of the same era as the bee gees '70's and '80's: journey (with steve perry as the lead singer. he also has a couple of solo albums), styx (lead singer dennis deyoung has a solo album), boston, foreigner (lou gramm was the lead singer), bruce hornsby and the range (more of an '80's). of all the great singers of that era, i think steve perry is the best. there aren't to many people that have the vocal talent that steve perry had in his prime. the bee gees was a great group. great vocals and their harmonies were unbeatable. they were also good songwriters.
Let me make a recommendation. If you're going to recommend a song, just Google it first and get the year it was recorded. I can't believe in this age of advanced technology no one has any information about the artist before listening to their music.
I wish guys still wrote & performed love songs, & sexy songs of the Tom Jones kind. It’s sad they don’t anymore. It’s all angst, drama violence & hoes now.
Back it up? I have everything sync from the get go, so there may look like a slight delay, but I’ve got audio connecting from the computer, camera and and separate mic to ensure everything stays in sync! Sorry it looks off for you though!
They had their teeth fixed. Look at their videos from the 1960's and you will see dis colored and a (little twisted) off centered teeth. I personally like the more natural look of the 1960's. The more "yourself" you are the better. ( With in reason). And their teeth of the 1960's were with in reason.
They've been singing since the 1950's, So Many good songs, you should try jive Talkin and i started a joke, how can you mend a broken heart, these are just a few of my favorites by them
I'm 75 now. We had the best music. ❤❤❤
why does your name have 1980 in it?
Blown away, right? You’ve officially been BeeGee’d.
I love when the younger generation discovers the older music that we older generation enjoyed when we was growing up I love their reactions too it
i love it too!

Their song you likely heard is Staying Alive. But there’s 5 decades of their songs to choose from.
Yes I have heard of that one! And I know there are so many!!!
Enjoyed your reaction!
1970s music legends.... the brothers Gibb, Barry, Maurice & Robin Gibb.. The Bee Gees.. also youngest brother Andy Gibb also sang
Absolutely incredible, thanks for sharing this knowledge!!
Dude, that's what the entire 70's were like. Bring back Disco, solve world problems.
Your probably thinking of Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees, I recommend you listen to that one.
I’ve heard that one!!!! Didn’t know it was them!!! Crazy!!!
Please react to STAYIN ALIVE and see if you’ve heard it!!
I JAVE I DIDNT KNOW THEY DID THAT ONE
Please react to the official video for STAYIN‘ ALIVE!!
This was a concert for UNICEF and they donated all of the proceeds to the cause. To this day UNICEF has received over 10 Million and counting.
It is United Nations Children’s Fund.
Loved your surprise! You need to check them out in “How Deep Is Your Love”.
Added to the list!!!! Thanks for watching!!!
bee gees reaching out
There was a fourth brother, Andy in the group.
Returned to the UK in their teens - international success wouldn't have happened had they stayed in Australia.
Absolutely amazing! These guys are great!
@@TheHolyCrotch - probably the deepest rabbit hole you will ever jump into… These guys were prolific! React to Stayin’ Alive for THE Disco experience, and How Deep Is Your Love for a sample of their lower range…both great!
@@macgmac7909 👍🏻
Barry in fact spent most of his childhood within the British Isles and his twin brothers spent half of their childhoods on the Isle of Man and Manchester, England. They never lost their British accents.
I grew up listening to Queen and Bee gees. You should listen to Queen live aids concert. And somebody to love live, who wants to live forever. I want to break free by queen. Staying alive and how deep is your love by bee gees.
"I'll bet you $1000", you have heard some of the Bee Gees songs and don't know it's a Bee Gees song! Especially one of their greatest hits...(Staying Alive)
you would win 1000 if I agreed, I’m slowly learning I have heard a few, I was just never able to put a name to it. Lol
Barry wasn't sweating, he was burned on his chest as a child.
Amazing! Yeah they are spectacular
Its said that an explosion of child bearing occurred about 9 months after this song came out.
❤
Welcome to real music of the 70s grasshopper.
I’ll add it to the list it doesn’t sound familiar.
The Bee Gees were the Best ❤👏👏👏
Try Dimash next... Stranger 🙏
This is a "don't break up" song. They have a history. It's a make up song, but more.
How Can You Mend A Broken Heart and, I Started A Joke. If you haven't already.
My Jr high dance,1979. Girls melted.
I really love this song from Bee Gees
So just got to the point where you say about Barry's chest and that he is sweating. Actually that's a skin tones shirt. Barry never bared his chest because he was severely burned on his chest and right arm when he was a child. Love your reaction to their effortless singing. Not sure if anyone has suggested you watch How Deep Is Your Love.
Another artist for you to watch is a Canadian....Celine Dion, any of her songs are wonderful maybe start with My Heart Will Go On.
Three brothers from Australia who started singing when they were ten and went on to write their own songs and became very successful.
Sad
i watched there carer life Video other Day. i was young when they started. i am 71 now. lots and lots of GOOD BANDS HAPPENING IN LATE 60 . GOOGLE MORE MUSIC FROM THEM
GUY IN MIDDLE IS OLDEST BARRY, THEN THE DARK HEADED IS .MURICE LIGHT HEDED IS ROBIN THOSE 2 ARE TWINS THEN ANDY IS BABY OF FAMILY. HAVE 1 SISTER. I AM PRETTY SURE ALL DEAD NOW. BARRY WAS 76. I HAVE SEEN COUPLE OF POST SAYING HE DIED. THROAT CANCER.
The song you were looking for is probably Stayin' Alive lol
Barry is an undie melter.
if you want to do reactions to groups of the same era as the bee gees '70's and '80's: journey (with steve perry as the lead singer. he also has a couple of solo albums), styx (lead singer dennis deyoung has a solo album), boston, foreigner (lou gramm was the lead singer), bruce hornsby and the range (more of an '80's). of all the great singers of that era, i think steve perry is the best. there aren't to many people that have the vocal talent that steve perry had in his prime.
the bee gees was a great group. great vocals and their harmonies were unbeatable. they were also good songwriters.
👏💪👍
Brilliant song, brilliant artists!
While you still have it, your hair could be styled like Barry Gibb’s if you grow it 🤭
I think he wrote it for his beautiful wife.
Try checking out "Great New Yoek Mining Disaster" by fhe Bee Gees...awesome song to react to, I think.
New York Mining Disaster
You now the song Stying a live.thats there song.
I DIDNT ONOW THAT, that’s crazy!
Let me make a recommendation. If you're going to recommend a song, just Google it first and get the year it was recorded. I can't believe in this age of advanced technology no one has any information about the artist before listening to their music.
Pls react to MICHAEL PANGILINAN-Rainbow (wish bus). It s the best cover ever
I’ll add it to the list! Thanks!!!
Can you please react to NCT TEN “BIRTHDAY” 🙏
I’ll add it to the list!!! Thanks!
Can you please react to
You can't deny it by Lisa stansfield
Please
i'll add to the list! thx!
I wish guys still wrote & performed love songs, & sexy songs of the Tom Jones kind. It’s sad they don’t anymore. It’s all angst, drama violence & hoes now.
Probably know Staying Alive
Yes!!! I didn’t know it was them!!!!
If your going to cut out the video in the middle of a run then you need to at least Back it Up instead of missing it every time.
Too many stops and starts. Stop babbling and and actually LISTEN to the damn song!
you will get more people watching if you --quit stoping the damm song
They've been singing since the 1950's, So Many good songs, you should try jive Talkin and i started a joke, how can you mend a broken heart, these are just a few of my favorites by them
You're probably thinking about STAYIN ALIVE from Saturday Night Fever
So clueless. Sorry. It's true.
I agree
