Sending you two my Aloha's from Waiohinu, what was once a quite village is now a mad house of development. Been here 25 yrs and it may be time to move on. It could be a challenge to find another place that has been so lovely to live. Southwest France seems so quite and lovely but looks like you may get the mistral (burrrrr). Will be watching and interested to see what this winter and spring bring to your area. I've spent some time in southern France but it was in the Autumn and very lovely.
Hi: We have a house in Brittany - working on it since 2013. I see you will need a new roof by the attic perspective. What kind of roof is it? Not slate (all of Brittany seems to be slate). Sure seems to help budget wise when the house is small to reroof. Enjoy your vids.
A reroof is in the future... they are clay tiles and are laid in the traditional manner which requires yearly (or more) adjustments. Not appropriate for our situation!

I know what you mean. It is a traditional style of roof for this part of France. We will make some "adjustments" that will make it better suited to modern living.

We are outside of the Mistral area but we did get some snow last year!

Oh wasn't suggesting slate as the SW of France uses other kinds. Just wondered what type of roof it was?
