Good to see you guys back, Karen you remind me of wife who is an interior. Like you she needs to spend hours figuring out which white to use, Tim I sympathize with you. When ever I return from being away with the fleet I get roped into my wife’s projects.🇨🇦

I agree, slap some paint sample on the wall and live with it to see how it changes thru out the day and evening. It’s hard to really see your color variations in the video, but I think I really like your first paint choice!

Thanks. "Live," it is the perfect color. We're going to try some others on the dining room wall.

Of course, you are correct... but... sometimes I wish those elves would come by and help out!

I woke up this morning thinking of your wood burning cook stove? Whatever is the status of that thing? How are you cooking food? What are you using for heat. In our Brittany stone house, the first year we used a double hot plate set-up. For heat we used a propane heater, which gave out lotsa heat. But we had a fireplace, that was very inefficient. Anyway, this is my heat post.

The stove is installed and the episode about the entire Stove Saga (TM) is coming on Tuesday (Note the social accountability 😂. We had some (video editing) delays but should be back on track.

Farrow and Ball paints are lovely but I had the same problem with their Old White which is green - I do love it but it isn’t white 😂

Hi Jenny from Australia here What led you to choose Bagnac Sur Cele or its surrounds?

Hi Jenny, it's a long story, filled with coincidence and changes of plans... We came to the southwest to look at a chateau that was for sale and while that didn't work out, we very much liked being in "La France Profund" - the part of France that feels like old France. The beautiful villages, wonderful people, and terrific food all spoke to us. Thanks for asking!
We'll have to do an episode on it one of these days 🤔

You are painting over wood so your color will be different not like painting over plaster or wallboard. Let it dry then look at it.

Good point. We had put a pretty substantial undercoat on first but I guess it's just a matter of waiting it out.
