Yes, our pride will bring us down. When we recognize that we are nothing but make God the most High in our daily lives, this pride can't dwell in our hearts.
A man that is a drunk, knows he is a drunk, the thief knows he is a thief, so with the murderer, the liar, the gossip But the man is filled with pride, doesn't realize he is pride filled, and therefor always go forth questioning other, judging others, glorifying themselves and placing themselves on pedestals they believe is higher than others, and believing they are doing nothing wrong Pride is a sin we have to ask our Lord to forgive us for everyday, as so easily we fall into its trap This section of the Bible is a good study guide for teaching us that, to stay humble in front of our Lord, that sees us all the time. Thanks for an "unpacking" done well, much appreciated

I bind the promise God almigthy rules over all and warns and destroys those who abuse power or wealth, binding my tree of life to grow strong and tall and visible to whole the earth according to Daniel 4 in the name and by the blood of Jesus Christ in agreement with this whole message, amen and hallelujah!
Hello, I'm glad I found this series. I started reading Daniel for lent and your videos are really helping to give me more understanding. I appreciate this so much and I plan to watch your series on Revelation as well. I have read it before but don't feel like I have everything connecting like you teach between the literal and spiritual, the historical, old and new Testament. God bless you all! P.S. the diagrams are dynamite!
Thank you for that encouraging feedback! We are so glad these teachings and charts are helping you with your study! May God bless you as you continue to study His word.
I was reviewing daniel up to where i'm currently at in chapter 10. I reviewed chapter 4 and realized that you didn't apply the prophetic day-for-year principle to this timeline. I was just curious why you didn't apply the day-for-year principle to this prophecy? It seems odd that all the other prophecies seem to be interpreted under this principle, but this one doesn't get the same treatment? The phrasing even seems that of what would be reported in a prophecy - "Seven times" I'd like to know your thoughts on this.
There are two types of writings in the book of Daniel: narratives and prophecies. The first half of Daniel, chapters 1-6 are principally narratives that describe the events that happened to Daniel, his friends, and King Nebuchadnezzar. Chapters 7-12 are principally prophetic. That is, they predict the rise and fall of earthly kingdoms to the end of time. Chapter 2 is unique in that it provides both narrative and prophecy. A miniature of the entire book of Daniel. What happened to King Nebuchadnezzar is his personal testimony that involves his pride, humiliation, and restoration. There is nothing prophetic regarding timelines or prophecies regarding the rise and fall of kingdoms to the end of time. However, one of the themes that is readily apparent is that the Most High rules over the realm of mankind and bestows it over whom He wishes. It is evident within the narrative of King Nebuchadnezzar that he is removed from power for a period of time, i.e. seven periods, and then restored to power but with surpassing greatness. Since Nebuchadnezzar ruled from 605-562 B.C. (about 43 years), those seven periods must have occurred during his reign. There is precedent found in the Septuagint (LXX, the Greek translation of the OT) which translates those periods as seven years, which is also confirmed by Josephus. It seems reasonable to conclude the period was seven years, however, it could express any period of time. In all cases, those periods of time would need to fall within the time of his life and reign.
@@AngelsintheGlen I understand that the prophecies tend to have an immediate fulfillment aspect to them unless they are specifically stated to be "pertaining to the end of days"; However, it does seem plausible to me - given that many prophecies, especially in Daniel, seem to have a pattern of both immediate fulfillment for the audience of the prophet and long term fulfillment for the people at the end of days - that the chapter 4 prophecy could also have this multiple level/timeline prophetic meaning. Also, given that chapters 1-6 are narrative prophecy in general, but there is an exception made for chapter 2 to be a long term prophecy - why could chapter 4 not also be an exception to the general structure of Daniel? After all, there is a narrative/immediate application exception made in chapter 11 when Daniel talks about the immanent fate of the Persian empire, while seemingly in relation to advising Darius the Mede. Anyway, I'm not trying to be confrontational, but if there is a tangible way to decipher things like this, I would really like to be able to learn this skill so that I am not misinterpreting prophecies throughout the bible. I appreciate your work, attention to detail, and your transparency! You are doing the work of the Lord!
@@calebstroup6917 Rest assured. You are not confrontational. You’re simply interacting with the structure of the book and examining all possibilities. While we don’t see a prophetic timeline applicable to end-times in Daniel 4, here is one thought to consider. We believe we make this point in the video, however it’s been a while since we made it. Think about this. Compare the Daniel 2 metals to the metals of Daniel 4. The kingdoms of bronze and iron follow the kingdom of gold. Since we know that Babylon was the head of gold, then it’s likely that the principles of Babylon would be present in the successive kingdoms. After all, the head controls the body. The mind directs the movements of the entire body. In the same way, Babylonian values and ideologies would be present in all the kingdoms that follow it. Since the tree has a stump and roots in the ground, the principles of Babylon would extend themselves in later kingdoms all the way down to the end of time. Those principles include the persecution of God’s people and a rebellion toward the LORD God Himself. The kingdoms of this world are under the power of Satan and will always be opposed to the kingdom of God and His people. See 1 John 2:16 and 5:19. However, if you have a specific hypothesis, test it against the integrity of the entire framework of Daniel and Revelation. The most important test for accurate insights is that an interpretation of the prophecies should find their center in Jesus Christ and shine greater light on the gospels. That’s how you can know for certain you are not misinterpreting the prophecies in the Bible.
